05/07/2024: We were in this restaurant last year and it was delightful, food and service. We returned and found the service a bit rushed and the food a bit disappointing. We were very cordially welcomed. Photos attached. When I returned to the hotel I discovered we were charged for champagne we did not order…€15. Not knowing this we left a generous gratuity since service was not included. This is a lovely little restaurant on a quiet alley and just wish it had lived up to our expectations.

14/08/2024: Stop there! Don't come there anymore! Unless you are in the clan of the well-off. Gone are the days of beautiful, good cooking for the average worker! We don't mix anymore. The lunch menu at €23 is distressingly simple. As for the map, it is now flying on its own, it has gained altitude.... In the photo it's a hot goat's cheese carpaccio offered as a main course for €19, which is more like a tasting starter, no risk of being full. In fact, and my current budget doesn't allow me to do this, I would have to have a starter and a main course, then continue with the two other dishes on the menu and finish with two small desserts. Contrary to what it might seem, this sequence has nothing to do with a Rabelaisian menu, we remain cautious in tasting. In conclusion, if we are not satisfied, we leave lighter, especially on the wallet side. I left the old opinion, too dythirambic, submitted in 2019, things are changing, the progress of this young man in the kitchen is significant, let's wish him the best for the future.... The following is therefore no longer relevant. How to say? A good year of visits here... Close to a miracle. The man in the kitchen (unfortunately I don't know him) provides cuisine worthy of great chefs. Without any compromise, the spirit of Roger Verger at the Moulin de Mougins, of Mauro Colagreco in Mirazur, and of Stéphane Raimbault of the Oasis in La Napoule is present here. Nothing to do with Jacques Chibois, master of the bastide Saint Antoine, full of pride and very imbued, who manipulates his scullions with vehemence and sustains you at a high price! In short, the humility and finesse of the dishes have nothing to envy of the greatest, here it is almost a profession of faith, the average customer, worker or tourist, can delight in exceptional cuisine, everything is, the presentation, but above all the background, the flavors are there. The slightest mayonnaise or vinaigrette sauce takes you on a journey, and the daily specials compete in sophistication. In short, forget the tasting menus for anorexics at €185, at the inn at the station we find ourselves on the same peaks (or almost) at €14 or €19....!!! Obliged to specify, for wine lovers, including myself, the excellent quality of the wine in the pitcher! A unique place, as long as it lasts....

14/09/2024: Heel erg lekker gegeten met zicht op de Sainte Victoire. Voorgerecht salade met inktvis, lekker fris en best grote portie. Hoofdgerecht was zeebaars met risotto: ook heel erg lekker. Om af te sluiten een dessertje met popcorn en chocolade. Vriendelijke bediening, goede wijnkaart en gratis ruime parking aan de overkant van de straat. Kortom aangename en lekkere ervaring!

29/03/2024: Cute restaurant with Camargue codes and kind words. Friendly welcome, I enjoyed fresh and tasty red mullet fillets accompanied by Camargue rice and ratatouille with a refreshing local white wine. Pleasant moment.

Niché face à la mer, le cadre est magnifique, et chaque plat est une véritable œuvre d'art, mettant en valeur des produits d'une grande qualité. Le service est attentionné et professionnel, rendant l'expérience encore plus agréable. Un incontournable à Cassis pour une escapade gastronomique inoubliable !

02/08/2024: Anche questa volta cinque stelle non sono sufficienti. Siamo stati semplicemente per una pizza, ma che pizza. Fantastica, veramente al top. Eravamo già venuti tempo fa gustando altri alimenti ma qui tutto è veramente buono. Ambiente tipico, piacevolmente accogliente. Le gestrici del locale sono cortesi e simpaticissime nonostante il tanto lavoro e questo è un merito. Spero di tornare presto e magari gustare la stupenda Soup de poisson o altri piatti tipici. 26/07/2024: A quatre on a pris le pavé de taureau cuit au bleu avec soit riz ou légumes. Excellent. Les desserts fait maison et le reste était comme d‘habitude excellent. Le service était très attentif et très sympathique. On y revient très volontiers

15/09/2024: The dishes were good with a special mention for the desserts which were incredible! Small menu of regional specialties and friendly staff. The only downside is the lack of ventilation inside the restaurant which makes the atmosphere hot and filled with cooking smells.

12/09/2024: Would highly recommend this restaurant! Delicious food and good service with a cozy inside. The food was typical French cuisine but there is also one vegan main dish (ask when ordering), one vegetarian entree and main dish. The calamari was delicious and the food in general was of great quality and very tasty!

23/09/2024: A timeless place... Magnificent and relaxing... Too bad the Montagnette forest all around burned because of a train sparking on the rails not far away....

17/09/2024: we were shocked! The entire landscape devastated by forest fire. The place looks dead, the shop was closed. There were many school classes who spent time here. We went there by bike, but unfortunately the Montagnette and St. Michel have completely lost the magic of previous visits. It's no longer worth a visit. The church just seems dark and depressing, nothing builds you up. It's a shame about the time.
