24/03/2026: This restaurant had been highly recommended to us, and my sister goes there regularly to introduce it to her friends and family. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the French toast, which was touted as THE must-try dessert. After a 45-50 minute wait, we received a simple piece of brioche with a scoop of ice cream… without the promised caramel (apparently there had been a problem). A gesture of goodwill would have been the least they could do (offering them free or at least 50% off, especially since we had ordered four). On the other hand, the savory dishes were very good: the wine and the squid with chorizo ​​were excellent, even if the dish was quite spicy (perhaps a little too spicy).

12/03/2026: Lunch on March 12th inside this small restaurant (a bit too windy to sit on the large terrace) after reading online reviews. The daily special was €16: guinea fowl supreme served with mashed potatoes and salad. We also ordered two desserts: a revisited Paris-Brest and a crème brûlée. The welcome was friendly – ​​the waiter was very talkative and jovial – he was adept at promoting not only the chef's cuisine (who came to the dining room) but also his house cocktails and local beers. We enjoyed the gin-based cocktail and a beer from Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. Good value for money. A good restaurant choice in Fontvieille.

24/02/2026: Charming! Located in the square, away from the noise of the road. The waiter and chef were very welcoming and had a great sense of humor. Very pleasant! The food is very good and homemade. The portions are perfect, neither too much nor too little, and it's good value for money! Really excellent, I highly recommend it.

The chef agreed to serve us even though we arrived around 2:30 PM, but every time we ordered a dish, something was always missing. He was only interested in making his profit and refused to make any concessions. It's a shame; he lost two potential customers. We only had a drink while waiting for our meal, which we had to cancel because he wouldn't serve the dishes on the menu. Special mention goes to the bar staff and the waiter, who were lovely and apologized on behalf of the chef. The chef didn't even come to speak to us.

However, the service was clearly not up to the price. The waitresses were unfriendly, and we were unable to keep the two bottles of wine we ordered at the table because there weren't enough champagne buckets.

24/12/2025: A fantastic lunch spot in Aix! The ingredients are fresh, top quality, and everything is clearly homemade. You can tell from the sandwiches to the daily specials. The desserts are delicious too! The value for money is excellent, especially for Aix-en-Provence. Simple atmosphere, friendly and efficient service. A place where you'll eat well and return without hesitation!

11/03/2026: We've eaten at Le Bistroquet several times and it's always been excellent. The vaulted ceiling in the restaurant's basement is truly beautiful, a real bonus. Special mention goes to the owner who is super friendly and really knows how to sell his dishes! One of our favorite restaurants in Aix 🍽️

The meal was excellent: succulent meat, the truffle linguine was divine, and the wine was absolutely perfect. The bill was reasonable. Go there; you won't be disappointed.

A small starter to share with my husband 🙂 then for me, an absolutely delicious confit lamb shank with mashed potatoes, and for my husband, a divine duck breast with the same mashed potatoes as me 🤗 Gourmet coffee for both of us ☕️ A very warm welcome and perfect service, thank you! 23/01/2026: Discovered one Friday evening with friends, this little restaurant is one of Rognac's hidden gems! The welcome is excellent, the menu is varied and features only fresh ingredients, the portions are more than generous, and all at a very affordable price. The owner manages everything (literally!) single-handedly, from greeting guests to cooking, and he's incredible. If you have the chance, don't hesitate to go in.
