15/03/2026: Service on March 14th, at 8 PM We were warmly welcomed, but quickly disappointed. Here's what happened: Don't forget your thermal underwear, it's cold! The wait was far too long. Our order was taken at 8:15 PM, and the appetizers were served an hour later. The main courses? Same story: a 40-minute wait for three undercooked meat dishes, and the side dishes arrived 10 minutes later… Want a carafe of water? Tough luck, there weren't any left. As compensation, they offered us a complimentary bottle of Evian. That was acceptable. If you make it to dessert, congratulations! Few of us did, and we decided to leave. We stayed at the table for three hours. When we paid, we expressed our dissatisfaction. The restaurant offered us the equivalent of €65 off our order. We don't blame the waitress; she's on the front line and taking the brunt of it. However, we regret the overall experience. The prices charged should reflect impeccable quality. Finally, dear owner of Villa Eugène, if you're reading this, please act quickly, because based on past reviews, a trend seems to be emerging, and clearly not in your favor!

23/03/2026: A really pleasant and popular Italian restaurant in Caen close to the harbour area with plenty of parking available. Very nice staff with good service and good value for money. There was a wide selection of mains and desserts to enjoy.

15/03/2026: Great place by the sea and very good tradional french seaside cuisine. There are some nice brinish ponds here with various water fowl and outdoor seating for the restaurant.

As for the food, I only tried one hamburger, but it was good, well-made, the wait was quick, and the ingredients were fresh again. Nothing to complain about except to recommend going there. Special shout-out to the waitress who made me laugh with her "taggliatelle" with 2 grams of salt—probably a little-known but delicious Italian specialty 😅

26/02/2026: We come to this establishment regularly. We love the staff who take such good care of us. Today we had guinea fowl in a cream sauce with baby potatoes, and the food was excellent! We highly recommend this welcoming place 🥰

03/12/2025: Lunch was mediocre at best, the coq au vin was bland, the starter buffet was very processed... Everything was extra, the prices weren't clearly displayed, in short, we won't be back. A shame.

25/03/2026: The food is very good, but be aware of their opening hours. I arrived at 12pm when the restaurant was empty, but wasn't served until 1pm. The whole restaurant filled up and was served before us. The service needs improvement.
