The welcome was warm, the staff were friendly, the atmosphere was convivial, and the drinks were excellent. We felt right at home. A fantastic find that we highly recommend. We'll definitely be back. 26/07/2026: We always eat well at this restaurant in Mondeville and we love their food, but last time, on Wednesday, July 15th to be precise, we were very disappointed with the service. Let me explain: The restaurant claims to be open until 3:00 PM. We arrived at 2:10 PM sharp, only to be told that if we wanted to eat, we could only order tarte flambée because the kitchen was about to close, and all this with very little courtesy. In these situations, you don't say you're open until 3:00 PM, you specify that you only serve until a certain time. It's not like we arrived 5 minutes before closing. In short, we left disappointed and without eating, whereas usually, everything goes smoothly...😔

28/07/2026: Great spot for a snack by the beach. It was reasonably busy but service was quick and pleasant. Sugar crepe only €2.50 bargain!

02/08/2026: We spent several days at this very quiet establishment, the bed was comfortable, and our motorcycle was secure. We received a warm welcome, the staff were very friendly and attentive, the gourmet meals were delicious, featuring local produce, and the price was reasonable. It's well worth a visit. We are very happy with our stay in Suisse Normande.

High-quality local produce, cooked with elegance, revealed the chef's passion for regional ingredients and his skill in elevating them. We were served by an equally professional and passionate head waiter, attentive and considerate, whose service demonstrated a mastery worthy of the finest gastronomic restaurants. 14/07/2026: I'm revising my review because the flan disappointed me. I think I tasted the previous owner's flan a few years ago. Now I find it okay, but nothing special. The puff pastry was slightly undercooked; I imagine it wasn't pre-baked long enough. The slice was small, and the icing sugar on top was really unnecessary. Also, I ended up with a hard piece of pastry in the flan filling, so I don't quite understand what happened.

06/07/2026: We need to stop justifying exorbitant prices for eating pastries on the premises, with a markup of over 25% for on-site consumption!

27/05/2026: Super fresh seafood practically straight from the boat. However, the prices weren't as older reviews suggested. The two of us ordered a shellfish platter (without lobster or oysters) and, including a glass of wine each, ended up paying €140.

19/07/2026: I enjoyed the very fresh and generous Caesar salad. My companions loved the very fresh octopus and the mussels marinière. The service was quick and discreet. The atmosphere is pleasant and also suitable for families. I recommend this restaurant.

21/07/2026: Honestly, no, they're very rude and disrespectful, and they try to rip you off... and on top of that, they're arrogant. Honestly, if it's the only place, then tough it out, but if not, go to McDonald's... at least they treat you well. By the way, the beers were charged for something they weren't supposed to... And watch out, the price is more expensive than a mixed drink.

06/05/2026: A beautifully restored farm manor house. We slept in 17th Century splendor with 21st Century amenities. Welcoming staff; good food; memorable setting.

02/05/2026: A wonderful discovery where the term "Agora" is perfectly apt. Indeed. A quick reminder, if needed: in ancient Greece, the Agora referred to a gathering of citizens and the place where it took place. Well, here you are. All sorts of people mingle here in a joyful and friendly atmosphere. The owner, Mika, with his warm and jovial sense of humor, immediately puts you at ease. In fact, it feels like going for a drink at the home of kind friends. The atmosphere is so welcoming. Everyone feels at home, even if you come alone. People talk to each other simply, with joy and respect. In short: The Place To Be! The only slight drawback is that it might not be wheelchair accessible except on the terrace, but perhaps they have a ramp; I didn't ask. In any case, I enjoyed a delicious coffee and had a very pleasant time. Try it, and you'll love it! Thank you MIKA for welcoming me so warmly, and thank you to your waitress who is very professional and also lovely 😍

06/04/2026: Honestly… this bar-tabac isn't just a place, it's a spiritual experience. You walk in, and you feel like your life is better just by pushing open the door. Even your overdraft hesitates to stay. The atmosphere? So clean you almost want to say hello to the walls. And the owner… well, he's not just a manager, he's a concept. The guy serves you a coffee, and you feel like he's been coaching you for 10 years. He looks at you, he already knows what you want. Before you've even spoken, he's already prepared your pack, your half-pint, and probably sorted out your personal problems. I swear, if all businesses were like this, there wouldn't be any more bad moods in France. Even people who say, "I don't like bars-tabacs"… they come here… and they get an emotional subscription. In short, if you don't go, it means you've voluntarily decided to miss out on happiness. And that, in itself, is a courageous decision.

17/07/2026: A terrible experience, both in terms of food quality and service. 1. We came at the end of the heatwave: it was intensely hot inside, there was no air conditioning, and no fans. This is unacceptable, both for the staff and the customers; it was suffocating! 2. The atmosphere is oppressive and the staff unfriendly. The heat cannot justify such behavior towards customers. 3. My friend and I ordered a warm goat cheese salad. We received a large amount of bagged salad, almost completely unseasoned. The "warm goat cheese" consisted of a slice of toasted, industrially produced white bread topped with a piece of goat cheese and a single piece of bacon. The same was true for my friend and her salmon, which was also served on slices of industrially produced white bread. Nine tables had the same experience. In short, avoid this place.

15/07/2026: Dog-friendly restaurant with a dog bar at the entrance! The dishes are generous, delicious, and served quickly (or not, depending on your preference). The daily specials were excellent. It's a shame I didn't have room for dessert... I'll definitely be back!

14/07/2026: The decor is nice upon arrival, but once seated, there's very little space; everything feels cramped. The dishes are classic, nothing groundbreaking, but not bad either; basically, simple but effective. The menu is also quite varied with some original dishes, offering something for everyone, which is a plus. I must note, however, the manager's borderline rude attitude towards her staff and customers (unpleasant little remarks here and there), and, conversely, the waitress's kindness (it must be tough... hang in there).

26/07/2026: Excellent food, including traditional Norman fare, with a good selection of meat and fish. Fast, courteous service and a refined atmosphere.

01/06/2026: A bit disappointed for a 4-star hotel. The room needs updating, the bathroom with shower wasn't great, and there were cobwebs on the window frames, which wasn't ideal. However, the pool, gym, hammam, and sauna were excellent. Value for money not great. Breakfast was adequate.

28/05/2026: The Mercure brand is truly tarnished at this establishment. It was impossible to get a pain au chocolat, a croissant, or a spoonful of scrambled eggs sent to the room because "if everyone does it, you'll understand." Meanwhile, the €20 per person breakfast, which was nothing special, was paid for. And to top it off, the drill was running at 10:00 AM... Avoid at all costs; I absolutely do not recommend it.
