15/04/2026: I drove past this place two years ago, and made a mental note to visit. Drove past it last weekend and fulfilled my wish. After many years in France, and many fish and chips meals, this is the BEST I've ever had here. Simple decor but with food like this, you don't need extravagant soundings. Estelle and Ben were really friendly and a joy to meet. My kids and I had fish and chips obviously and were not disappointed. The only place I have been to, offering both brown sauce AND malt vinegar as condiments! A true rarity. My partner (Normandy origins) was very happy with a burger topped with camembert. Finished the meal with a sticky toffee pudding, again a joy and rarity to have. If your British and want a true taste of home, stop by here. 30/04/2026: A wonderful discovery, both in terms of the hotel and the restaurant. I recommend booking a room with a sea view, which is very close to the hotel. While parking isn't the most convenient, the major advantage is that it's free all around the hotel and year-round in Luc-sur-Mer.

06/09/2026: Dry seafood sauerkraut, overcooked and dry fish. Tongue in spicy sauce, not spicy but acidic. Very disappointed, I expected better based on the reviews.

23/05/2026: A very good experience at this small bistro with excellent service. The staff agreed to serve us just before closing time, even though no other restaurants were open nearby. The food was good and the service was quick. I recommend it!

12/09/2026: Disappointed with our visit. The beer was flat and the waitress was particularly unpleasant when we asked for a replacement. Their customer service skills clearly need improvement.

26/08/2026: I ordered two ice creams: both clearly had a broken cold chain (melted and then refrozen), and one of them was supposed to be a Magnum Classic. Instead, for the same price (€3.50), I received a tiny cookie ice cream that I finished in three bites… EDIT: I see in the reply that I paid €4 for a mini donut-shaped ice cream that took three bites, instead of a Magnum Classic—even worse than I thought.

23/08/2026: Nice little beach restaurant, efficient and quick service. We had mussels and fries for €12.50. It's a shame the fries were frozen! Drinks were reasonably priced.

15/09/2026: My son and I were on holiday in the area, looking for a nice restaurant, and frankly, we found it! A very warm welcome, smiling and friendly staff, and a very good meal. Reasonable price: starter/main course/dessert = €24

13/09/2026: We received a very warm welcome at Le Duplex! Arriving at 1:30 pm on a Saturday without a reservation, we were quickly served by friendly staff. We had a delicious meal; the dishes were homemade and very tasty, and the prices are particularly attractive: a three-course meal for €24! An unpretentious brasserie, located right next to the cathedral, perfect for a meal and a drink when visiting Lisieux.

11/09/2026: Very prompt and friendly service. The pizza was delicious. Varied selection. We received a free carafe of tap water twice. Very nice!

29/08/2026: The salad wasn't fresh, the pizza tasted like a frozen pizza, my dessert was okay, but my husband's – crème brûlée – wasn't...what a shame.
