31/01/2026: Our must-stop when heading south from Paris! ❤️ A place we never miss on this route. We ordered the roast chicken and it was absolutely delicious: incredibly flavorful poultry, perfectly crispy skin, juicy and tender meat. The portion was incredibly generous; we were two big eaters and we couldn't finish it all, that's how good it was! The small roasted potatoes with garlic and parsley that came with it were a treat in themselves. The service was top-notch: the staff was really friendly, smiling, and full of helpful advice. They gave us tons of great tips for our weekend in the region, which was so appreciated and really made a difference. In short, generous, authentic, and comforting cuisine in a warm atmosphere. We highly recommend it and we already know we'll be back every time we head south!

05/10/2026: A simple place with a covered terrace. Two friendly young waiters with smiles, one of whom was a student but managed to meet our expectations. We laughed with him, and that made a big difference. We encouraged him because we've also worked in restaurants and know that stress and the fear of not doing well can be frowned upon by some customers, but we put him at ease. Well done to him (we don't know his first name). The €44 set menu (there were four of us, so we were able to see each other's plates, and everyone enjoyed it) was well-presented, with sufficient quantity and excellent quality. We savored the soft-boiled eggs with Époisses sauce and parsley ham, the chicken with Gaston Gérard sauce, and the coq au vin with fries—yum! Just one small complaint about the cheese (three small portions of two different cheeses: perhaps the portions could be reviewed, and there should be a choice, and a few salad leaves added—just an idea). The savory and sweet faisselle cheese and the gourmet coffee/tea were delicious! The chef was friendly, came into the dining room, and had a laugh with us! It's a pleasure not to be rushed to eat. We'll be back, hoping everything stays this way because we love it! No fuss, no frills. BRAVO!

06/10/2026: Very good and tasty food. The quality was as expected good. Typacal Burgundy good. Amazing wine menu. Top address to have good food and wine in Beaune. The prices are fair. I would highly recommend you to make a reservation as it was super busy and packed.

23/08/2026: We were received by the hotel with a very kind and warm Joaquin. It was a one night pit stop in Beaune, carrying on to Calais the next morning. The rooms were clean and the service was pleasant. The bathroom was also clean and modern. The bed was very comfortable which is what you want after driving for 6 hours! We will definitely be staying in Le Central Boutique again as we like Beaune due to its rich heritage in wine and beautiful location.

18/07/2026: We stayed here two nights to escape our unbearably hot Airbnb - and the air-conditioned room made it totally worthwhile! Huge thanks to the manager who went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. Le Central is ideally located in the historic centre, moments from fantastic restaurants and bars. We'd gladly stay again - and not just for the AC!

11/07/2026: We stayed here End of May couple nights. Property really nice, pool clean, breakfast good, restaurant also very good. So generally it was a nice hotel. HOWEVER, we had bugs/insects in our room, on walls and ceiling etc (not one but well over 10 at least). I suspect they were termites. We told the reception about it and they were just like "thank you, we will look into it and that it happens now and then". No apologies and no room changes or anything. I think they handled it very poorly, just like they didnt care about it and it was normal. For us it was quite bad experience as had to double check at home that none had travelled back home inside luggage either.

29/08/2026: We returned to this wonderful restaurant seven years after our first visit, and once again it reminded us exactly why we had remembered it for all these years. Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious, prepared with care and full of flavour. But the absolute highlight was the frog legs with girolles, served in a creamy sauce with garlic and parsley. Simply outstanding. Rich, delicate and incredibly well balanced, it was one of those dishes you keep thinking about long after dinner is over. And, of course, being in Burgundy, the wine deserves a special mention of its own. The Burgundy wine was absolutely beautiful and complemented the food perfectly. The service was warm, attentive and genuinely welcoming, and the restaurant still has that wonderfully relaxed, intimate, almost home-like French atmosphere that we remembered from our first visit. Seven years may have passed, but the pleasure of being here was exactly the same. Perhaps even better. A truly memorable evening, wonderful French cooking, beautiful Burgundy wine and genuine hospitality. We certainly won’t wait another seven years before coming back!

10/09/2026: A truly authentic sushi restaurant has finally opened in Beaune. What's more, it's a rare restaurant where you can also enjoy excellent French-style pigeon. It was a shame they only had one type of sake.
