29/06/2026: During our visit, we had the opportunity to sample a variety of French cuisine. The dishes were refined, delightfully presented, and surprisingly flavorful. The waiters explained the dishes they were serving and provided a relaxed atmosphere, allowing us time to savor the flavors. This restaurant is exquisite in every respect. I highly recommend it!

10/05/2026: A lovely little restaurant, very well run. We ate there: - Excellent eggs meurette (poached eggs in red wine sauce) - Chicken Gaston Gérard with homemade mashed potatoes and colorful baby carrots. Cooked to perfection, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I recommend it. Open only for lunch. We'll definitely go back.

15/05/2026: Fantastic cafe, great staff, great service, great food, and wine!! Managed to accommodate our family of 8! This was our 2nd visit here as booked in for an overnight stop on the way to the Alps. Christine and her team looked after us very well and we look forward to seeing them all again in 2027!!

07/08/2026: Visited in July, and all four of us were extremely disappointed with the food served. (We seriously doubted the prawns were cooked properly.) Service was good and quick.

07/08/2026: The food wasn't special, a bit bland. Furthermore, we felt that the service was good, but that they just wanted to get us out of there quickly. The food was ready faster than at McDonald's and was lukewarm. We just accepted it. But we wouldn't come back. Service was fine.

18/07/2026: Waiting time for parking and toilet (70 women in front of us in line). Dirty toilets, loose faucets. Hopeless. Hope they also get more toilets with their renovation.

25/06/2026: A very bad experience at La Croissanterie in the Dijon motorway service area. From the moment I arrived, the welcome was particularly unpleasant. The waitress was unfriendly and clearly gave the impression that the customers were bothering her. A minimum of courtesy would be appreciated, especially in an establishment catering to travelers. The prices are also excessive: nearly €3 for a simple pain au chocolat. The prices are already difficult to accept, but the most problematic aspect is the lack of transparency in the pricing. The products on display do not always clearly correspond to the prices shown. The signs are far from the items in question, filled with asterisks and barely legible text. It is virtually impossible to know exactly what you are going to pay before reaching the register. The set menus are just as confusing. Their contents are not clearly explained, and once you get the details, they contain very little information. Everything seems designed to complicate understanding of the offer rather than to properly inform the customer. To top it all off, I noticed an additional charge of €0.50 that didn't correspond to the menu I had chosen. No clear explanation was given. Given the numerous ambiguities in the price and menu display, I filed a complaint with SignalConso and the DGCCRF (French Directorate General for Competition Policy, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control) so that these practices can be investigated. Between the appalling service, the exorbitant prices, the misleading display, and the billing errors, this stop was a very bad experience. I strongly advise against this establishment. This surcharge was not indicated anywhere: neither on the product displays, nor on the menu boards, nor when placing my order. I only became aware of this at the time of payment, and judging by the numerous negative reviews, I'm not the only one this has happened to... As a customer, I feel I've been wronged, even scammed, since I paid an extra charge that wasn't clearly displayed or announced. This complete lack of transparency is unacceptable. It's precisely because of this undisclosed discrepancy in billing and the lack of clarity in your information that I filed a complaint with SignalConso and the DGCCRF (French Directorate General for Competition Policy, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control). A personalized response explaining the origin of this additional €0.50 would be more helpful than a standard message.

12/06/2026: The drinks menu is particularly extensive, with a selection rarely found elsewhere. The food is equally excellent: when you go, you'll eat very well! The atmosphere is also great, and you're always warmly welcomed! I highly recommend it!

06/06/2026: The beer is good and so is the service. I recommend L'Embuscade if you like cider and sweet drinks.

22/07/2026: My husband and I had high hopes for a culinaire outstanding dinner. We had been there before circa 12 years before. So we chose the Menu Gourmand at 68 euro's. What a deception, the amuses bouches were very plain and didn't taste "gourmand" at all (a small piece of toast with a slice of carpaccio with a dab of sauce and a dry cheese biscuit), then we waited a long while for an amuse of mashed avocado and green apple, then we waited a long while for our entree: a mit cuit foie gras of canard, which was good. Then came a coulis of tomato on a layer of (bread?) crumbs, for which we waited again a long time. And then came the tournedos Rossini, the meat was well cooked as was the foie gras. However, the tournedos was served on a slice of very burned potato. We told the waiter that this was below par. He said that he would tell the chef. As we did not want to waste any more time on this "gourmand" dinner, we asked for coffee and the bill and left. We did not see the chef, nor were we offered a compensation. The long wait for our food wasn't because it was busy in the restaurant: there were 8 other guests and one child, and all seemed to have gone for the Gourmand Menu . Probably the main attention of the chef went into preparing dinner for the guests in the garden of the restaurant.
