07/08/2026: A wonderful discovery! We came to eat at the Auberge des Templiers and frankly, we weren't disappointed. The food was delicious and the place is truly lovely and pleasant. We didn't know about this place at all, even though we live only 10 minutes away! It just goes to show you can make some great discoveries right on your doorstep. The setting is truly enchanting, with the fountain right next door. It really gives you a little taste of vacation and you feel like you're somewhere else for the duration of your meal. 😊 We received a very warm welcome; the waitress was pleasant, smiling, and very professional. We were even treated to the thoughtful touch of the chef, who came to wish us bon appétit, which was really appreciated. I was also pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the dishes: absolutely no marks, everything was spotless. It's a small detail, but personally, I appreciate it a lot, and it's truly delightful to see so much care taken with the details. We will gladly return and highly recommend this place. A very good experience, we'll definitely be back! 👍

24/02/2026: A great restaurant close to places of interest like the cinema, etc., and just a short walk from the city center. The welcome is pleasant and friendly, and the meals are very good and reasonably priced. The setting and decor are charming, primarily themed around fairies, but they change with the holidays and seasons, like for Christmas with lovely train and snowy city decorations. We stop there every time we return to Montélimar for a good meal and a pleasant time.

25/08/2026: The room had fresh paint and the bedding was adequate, but the bathroom was ancient: an old, chipped bathtub with rust stains, a toilet with repulsive black marks, and no hot water one morning. Access was difficult with luggage. Breakfast was expensive for what it was!

23/08/2026: An ideally located hotel in the heart of the village, in a truly lovely setting. Special mention goes to the mascot, the cockatoo, which adds a touch of originality and cheer! The staff is always attentive and very welcoming. The room is comfortable and well-equipped, with welcome air conditioning. I particularly loved the magnificent Balinese-tiled pool. A very nice touch: you can order drinks at reception, which are then served directly by the pool. Finally, everything is within walking distance: the excellent restaurants in the beautiful market square are just a few minutes away. A truly wonderful place to stay!

10/02/2026: No welcome whatsoever, cold and tasteless. We went as a family to the bakery section for a break, drawn in by the decor. Once inside, it was awkward. We stood there waiting while the saleswoman and another woman in the back looked at us, but nothing. After 5 minutes, we decided to order. The coffee was very bitter and the pastries bland. My son asked for the restroom and clearly disturbed them. It wasn't very polite, especially since a regular customer came in and was greeted with a "hello" and a glance. Don't waste your time there!

30/08/2026: A very warm welcome! The food was equally excellent; I thoroughly enjoyed the small lamb tagine from the Diois region, served at the foot of the mountains!

20/08/2026: You don't feel welcome in the Diois region, and in this wonderful village of Châtillon, you could easily be anywhere else. Disappointing. This touristy, money-grubbing hotel-restaurant is a real eyesore in this beautiful, authentic, and welcoming village. I have no desire to return.

05/08/2026: I'm a regular customer at this establishment, and I'm always delighted to come here. Pets, like dogs and cats, are quite welcome, as the establishment itself is very welcoming. Many restaurants don't accept pets, but here, they are very accommodating and even offer water for the animals, free of charge, of course. The prices are reasonable, and the food is simple yet excellent. A small robot brings your dishes, and naturally, the waitress is always there to place them on your table. They also offer locally made tomato juice, which is very good, unlike other places where they offer industrial and not-so-good products. You can also find handcrafted items for sale.

13/07/2026: The letter in English does not match the letter in French. It was difficult to order dinner. The entrecote was a simple pastado del punto steak. Poor air conditioning

25/08/2026: I ate very well several times and will definitely return. Service was quite fast. The staff were friendly and very welcoming. The prices were quite reasonable. All the best!

24/08/2026: A cold welcome (five minutes in front of the bar where several employees were standing without even a "hello" before they hesitantly deigned to take us in; it was 1:30 pm when we arrived). The servers were borderline rude. The food was bland, the kind anyone could make at home (ravioli casually placed on top of a green salad, served with a few sad tomato wedges and a basic, pre-packaged vinaigrette from a large industrial source, and a duck breast that wasn't fresh...). When it came time to pay, I was asked if everything was alright. I admit I was surprised by this "concern" after the dismal experience we had that afternoon. I usually don't say anything when things aren't right, but this time I couldn't resist, we were so disappointed. The waitress took it badly and barely said goodbye. I did tell him that our plates spoke for themselves (there were four of us, and our plates were two-thirds full). Anyway, I could go on and on, but in short, this restaurant is one to avoid. I was forced to give it one star, but it clearly doesn't deserve it.

18/08/2026: I ordered a pork rind sausage, which was a terrible choice – a tiny, dry sausage, steamed and lacking any authentic flavor. The ravioli were nothing special. The service was also lacking; the waiter needed to be more attentive.
