15/06/2026: I still want to add a second review, for any gay people who might be reading this. My husband and I are an older gay couple, and even though it's 2026, we sometimes wonder how we'll be received as such. Well, Virginie and Jean-Michel are incredibly gay-friendly and were wonderful to us. It really makes you want to come back, as if to say, "We couldn't just leave like that!" Thanks again.

09/06/2026: This country house is nestled in a verdant setting with a magnificent house and a swimming pool. We received a very warm welcome from the owners (they were kind, helpful, and offered great advice about the region). As for dinner, breakfast is served via an ingenious basket system (containing thermoses, food dishes, plates, and cutlery) left at your door, allowing you to eat whenever you like.

06/07/2026: I had lunch at this bistro this Monday. Apparently, they had the new menu. We met our waitress, Ketisia, who is so kind, smiling, and lovely. I loved my first visit to this bistro. We're new to Valence, and we'll definitely be back. Thanks again for the service, Ketisia, and congratulations to the chef!

04/07/2026: As longtime customers, we loved coming every year for our daughter's birthday. But tonight, despite the food being as good as ever, the celebration wasn't there. There was a long wait for dessert, the waiter kept forgetting things, and the menu was rather limited (due to a change of ownership). We were very disappointed, which is a shame because we really enjoy this restaurant (we came two weeks ago and had no problems at all). Unfortunately, we'll celebrate this year's birthday elsewhere because the wait was just as long last year.

04/05/2026: A huge disappointment… I only gave two stars because the welcome upon arrival was pleasant. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience didn't live up to it. We could hear the restaurant music until late at night, which isn't ideal when you're there to relax. In the morning, we were woken very early by construction work right outside our room… without any prior warning. This is exactly the kind of information that would have changed our choice of hotel. For a price of around €200 per night, the room is quite dated and poorly equipped: no coffee machine or tea-making facilities, just an empty refrigerator. Finally, at checkout, the experience deteriorated even further: at reception, an unwelcoming person with a torn t-shirt, visibly annoyed by our payment with Logis vouchers, had to manually enter all the numbers (due to a lack of an application that management had refused to provide), which made check-out particularly long (nearly 20 minutes). We came to relax… unfortunately, the opposite happened.

02/05/2026: A very nice hotel and restaurant. The rooms are very comfortable and it's very quiet. The beds are very good. The 45th bistro is lovely and the food is always excellent.

29/04/2026: Ideally located opposite the train station, the rooms are basic but clean. The bathrooms in the single rooms are tiny. The common areas are decorated in an old-fashioned style. The reception and staff are excellent. The breakfast room and restaurant are very nice. Breakfast is okay.

26/08/2025: A pleasant terrace and excellent burgers! The vegetarian burger was delicious and very filling! The staff is also very welcoming.

09/11/2025: I had a wonderful meal at this restaurant. For an aperitif, I enjoyed a red fruit kombucha. What a surprise to find such drinks in this restaurant! I loved it. I continued with the set menu. For a starter, the vegetable soup was equally delicious. Then, for the main course, a raclette-style borage with a side salad. And for dessert, a mirabelle plum tart. It was delicious. I also greatly appreciated the quality of the service and the attentiveness of the very friendly waitress. We ate our meal in the covered terrace area, which was bright and welcoming. Thank you very much.

19/10/2025: There were 8 of us who came, we had little time because we had a ceremony right after, we asked to be served quickly. This was done and we ate really well, fresh and well-cooked produce. I recommend this restaurant.

01/04/2026: I wasn't expecting such a good restaurant in this location. The portions are generous and tasty, in line with the price. Personally, I thought the Caesar salad had a bit too much mayo. You definitely don't leave hungry! The atmosphere is rather blue-collar. It was a bit too noisy, though, as there's no soundproofing and the restaurant was full.

17/02/2026: One of my worst experiences... No one came to ask us during the entire meal if we were okay, even though we weren't, and we just had to endure eating some TERRIBLE meat. There were three different cuts of meat on the table, and none of them were decent... poorly cooked, tasteless, and chewy. My $23 ribeye was less than 2mm thick... the ground beef was incredibly bland, and the roast veal was as bad as a piece of chewing gum... the salad was drenched in industrial dressing, and only the fries were acceptable, even though they didn't seem "homemade" at all, contrary to what was later claimed... At the end of the meal, as we were leaving, when someone finally came to ask if we were satisfied, and I (tactfully and diplomatically) expressed my mixed feelings about the meat, it sparked a near-war! Instead of accepting my opinion (which she asked for, I remind you...), the manager started to defend her butcher and the weight of his meat. I had to explain to her at length that weight isn't everything; if the surface area is too large, it's because the cut was poor, the meat is far too thin, and her "super" butcher should know that. When I saw she was taking it personally, I gave up, telling her that her establishment was perfect, since that's all she wanted to hear, despite not putting in the effort (except for the decor, but personally, I don't eat in a place, however stylish it may be). Realizing she was going too far, she still kindly offered us coffee or dessert to apologize. We politely declined; we were in a hurry and already at the door. But after paying at the register, we had to go past the cook, and he literally verbally attacked us, yelling at us that his meat was the right weight! Total incomprehension. I thought the matter was closed, and now we have the manager, the cook, and even the waitress against us—the latter yelling at me that I'd actually eaten! But luckily, NO ONE CAME TO THE TABLE when I wanted to send her away, and besides, I was hungry and I wasn't going to let 23 euros go to waste, no matter how awful... I've never seen anything like it. On the other hand, I've seen far too many of these so-called trendy restaurants that take advantage of working-class neighborhoods and a clientele unfamiliar with real brasserie cuisine. So, literally avoid this place. I rarely leave reviews, but this time I left with a bitter taste of bad food and a lot of anger. I'm going to post this review on every site I can to bring their improbable rating down to a more realistic level of incompetence. For people in the area, try Les Terrasses de Saint-Mitre instead; the quality-price ratio is unbeatable. It's a real restaurant that deserves the title, even if the decor isn't as stylish.

14/06/2026: Very disappointed with the menu options; many items were out of stock. The advertised guinea fowl supreme was served to one person at the table, but the leg was practically raw. There was no choice of ice cream flavors. A shame, I won't be back.

13/06/2026: We came for the all-you-can-eat mussels and fries. Unfortunately, we found the mussels far too salty, with the impression that the initial cooking water had been kept. Regarding the "all-you-can-eat" aspect, we were somewhat disappointed. The second helping was already much smaller than the first, and it wasn't possible to get a third because there wasn't any left. It's a shame for a deal advertised as all-you-can-eat.

21/02/2026: We stopped in Valencia; there was a good place to eat near the hotel with secure, gated parking – great for leaving luggage in the vehicle.

08/02/2026: The food is good. The menu is quite varied. The staff is friendly, professional, and responsive. It's a pleasure to come back.
