19/08/2026: We were initially very warmly welcomed by the waitress, who was pleasant and understanding. We were with a newborn in a stroller, and since there was a village festival and a concert outside, we asked to be seated inside to ensure the baby's comfort. The waitress kindly set a table for us, and we thank her for that. Unfortunately, the new manager's attitude completely ruined our evening. At 9:45 p.m., she came to our table in a particularly curt and belligerent tone, saying, and I quote: "I need to know what to order. It's almost 10 p.m., do you realize?" We fully understand that a restaurant has opening hours and service constraints. However, this can be done with courtesy and professionalism. Customers should not have to endure the stress, bad temper, or irritation of the person managing the establishment. This attitude put the waitress under so much pressure that she then made a mistake taking our order. It's a real shame, because unlike the manager, she was welcoming and professional. It was supposed to be the village festival: lively and cheerful in the streets, but unfortunately, a very tense atmosphere inside the restaurant. We had really enjoyed this establishment under the previous owners last year. Since the change in management, the experience is sadly no longer the same. As for us, we won't be returning.

22/08/2026: A short lunch break at this taverna; the waiter was very pleasant, the food fresh and local. The desserts were excellent. Only the bartender/crepe maker was a bit gruff.

20/08/2026: The Caesar salad was a misnomer; while very generous, it was incredibly greasy. As for the service, my husband had to ask for his dish twice. Luckily, it was a weekday lunchtime, as the service was poor then too. We will never go back.

07/08/2026: A warm welcome, a family atmosphere, and efficient service... From salads to pizzas, from the daily special to desserts, the portions are generous and delicious at very reasonable prices. Whether with family or friends, the new terrace is perfect and offers a pleasant view of the newly renovated village square.

05/08/2026: I am a picky eater, so a 3 out of 10 is a fine rating for me, and that is what this place deserves. The staff are amazing; they crack jokes and create a fun atmosphere. What sets this place apart from a five-star restaurant is the excessive use of oil in the food, especially in the salad. The quality of the menu, the tables, and the seating is also not top-notch. Despite these disappointments, I would definitely recommend this place for a simple afternoon lunch. The food isn't bad and the service isn't arrogant, so it's a fine place to eat. 👍

09/08/2026: A wonderful discovery right next to the Palais Idéal. We had an aperitif. The €7 was a generous portion. Then we both had ravioli with a small salad. Everything was delicious. The Adelice ice creams are a real treat. The staff are friendly, smiling, and attentive. All this on the shaded terrace. We were even able to choose our table.

04/08/2026: The service is reasonably friendly, once you get there. We had to get their attention several times. We were practically ignored. The food was good, and the atmosphere was nice too. It's a real shame, it could be a very good café.

11/02/2026: Passing through Montélimar on numerous occasions, I never fail to stop at the "Brasserie des Négociants." The management and staff are particularly welcoming, professional, and kind. While the establishment maintains rigorous hygiene standards, I was taken aback by a comment I read... perhaps the author should verify the accuracy of their statements and check their sources more thoroughly. Without hesitation, I give this establishment 5/5, both for its warm welcome, the professionalism of the management and staff, and the absolutely impeccable hygiene.

09/08/2026: The setting is quite nice, the food excellent—a big congratulations to the chef. However, the blonde waitress doesn't make me want to come back; she's unpleasant, responds coldly, and gives the impression that she's being bothered and wants to get home quickly. I won't be returning here because it creates a very cold atmosphere.

04/08/2026: A warm welcome from the competent and smiling staff, no waiting between ordering and service, beautifully presented dishes, excellent products – pure bliss for a wonderful experience, highly recommended, which I certainly did. I will return without hesitation. Bravo!

17/08/2026: The worst experience we've ever had. We were a group of eight, and we were treated like dogs by the owner. She refused to let us each pay our share. The atmosphere was truly awful. We wanted to go back, but never again. On top of that, the prices are exorbitant: two scoops of ice cream cost €7, and whipped cream was an extra €9. They're thieves! Never again!

17/08/2026: We discovered this restaurant thanks to friends and had a wonderful evening. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of service, the friendliness of the owners and servers, and a menu featuring high-quality, locally sourced ingredients. For example, I tried the tomato salad, which might seem simple, but on the contrary, the tomatoes were beefsteak tomatoes, peeled, and served at the perfect temperature to appreciate their pure simplicity. In the center was olive oil ice cream and raw garlic croutons. A true delight. The drinks are carefully selected; you won't find this selection everywhere. For instance, I chose a homemade tomato juice served with French chili pepper and organic celery. Excellent. The rest of the menu was just as good. The atmosphere in the square in the evening was particularly pleasant. Thank you very much, and see you soon.
