25/08/2026: New manager. What a shame the concept has changed so drastically. Gone is the wide selection of starters and well-prepared main courses. Now there's no choice at all for weekend lunch service; it's limited to basic grilled meats and fries, and for dessert, pre-packaged pies. In short, it's cafeteria food. What a pity.

28/08/2026: The food was excellent, but the service... wow! If you find it so difficult, consider a different career. Grumpy every time an order is taken doesn't work in the restaurant business (I work in a restaurant). Not a single smile. And the bill took 45 minutes (the length of a meal!) because the waitress was completely lost.

23/08/2026: Absolutely terrible! The waitresses were completely clueless. I was told the ice cream cone was vanilla when it actually contained coconut, and I'm allergic to it. Completely unprofessional!

30/09/2026: Somewhat surprised: the daily specials were no longer available at 12:45. The menu wasn't up-to-date. The four usual salads weren't listed. The quantity of ingredients had significantly decreased. Only the pizzas remained of good quality. Terrace service was provided by only one person, whereas previously two people were present, assisted by the owner. This resulted in longer wait times. Disappointed with the new business direction of this establishment.

19/08/2026: We were initially very warmly welcomed by the waitress, who was pleasant and understanding. We were with a newborn in a stroller, and since there was a village festival and a concert outside, we asked to be seated inside to ensure the baby's comfort. The waitress kindly set a table for us, and we thank her for that. Unfortunately, the new manager's attitude completely ruined our evening. At 9:45 p.m., she came to our table in a particularly curt and belligerent tone, saying, and I quote: "I need to know what to order. It's almost 10 p.m., do you realize?" We fully understand that a restaurant has opening hours and service constraints. However, this can be done with courtesy and professionalism. Customers should not have to endure the stress, bad temper, or irritation of the person managing the establishment. This attitude put the waitress under so much pressure that she then made a mistake taking our order. It's a real shame, because unlike the manager, she was welcoming and professional. It was supposed to be the village festival: lively and cheerful in the streets, but unfortunately, a very tense atmosphere inside the restaurant. We had really enjoyed this establishment under the previous owners last year. Since the change in management, the experience is sadly no longer the same. As for us, we won't be returning.

05/09/2026: First visit to the Grand Café. We called at the last minute for lunch this Saturday. There were eight of us, and we were very warmly welcomed by a young lady, Leticia I think, and the service was very quick. Many thanks to the lady and the young man who was with her. It was a great pleasure, and we will be back.

09/09/2026: In the Drôme Provençale region, a few kilometers from Grignan, lies Valaurie, a charming hilltop village well worth a visit, as is its restaurant, Le Bistrot de Valaurie. The dishes are perfectly executed. I had two starters, including an excellent homemade terrine. The salad that followed was simply magnificent and original. Different flavor combinations complemented the perfectly pearly prawns—a delight. Just two minutes from the main road, it's definitely worth the trip! Thank you!

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for spending a pleasant time with family or friends. The service is impeccable: quick, attentive, and always with a smile. A big thank you to the entire team for their professionalism and kindness. We had a wonderful evening and will definitely be back. I highly recommend it!

09/08/2026: Perfect for a stopover during a layover. A far cry from the queue at the station for a bland sandwich at the same price.

20/08/2026: Avoid this place! The staff is unfriendly and refuses to serve you at 1 p.m. because "the kitchens are cleaned, so there's no way we're going to get them dirty again." So, in the end, we were stuck eating pre-made paninis. Honestly, what a huge disappointment. Furthermore, the restrooms are poorly laid out because the regular toilets and urinals aren't separated.

27/10/2026: We wanted to eat, but the welcome was barely friendly. After waiting half an hour, we left without eating. Deplorable.

15/08/2026: Good food, nice ambiance, cafe - resto - hotel. Nice vibe and owners are attentive and accommodating . Reservation highly recommended. Brought our baby and stroller.

15/10/2026: Warm welcome, good food, generous portions, very good mushroom ravioli – at least here the porcini or morels aren't just trace amounts. I recommend it.

17/08/2026: The place is beautiful, very clean, tastefully decorated, and the restaurant is excellent. Unfortunately, our experience was truly marred by a welcome that was completely subpar for the establishment. Upon arrival, my husband spontaneously helped for several minutes to close the parasols, which were threatening to blow away in the wind. The person present, who seemed to be in charge of the hotel, didn't even thank us. We immediately had the unpleasant feeling of being a nuisance rather than being welcomed. The pool was initially closed due to the wind, which we completely understood. We were then politely informed that we could finally use it after the leaves had been cleared away. However, the cushions on the sun loungers had already been removed, and even though the wind had died down, no one came to replace them or offered to do so. It's a real shame because the setting is superb and the food very good, but in a hotel of this caliber, one also expects attention, warmth, and the feeling of being genuinely welcomed. Unfortunately, that's what we missed most during our stay.

22/07/2026: We cannot detract from our stay solely because of the hotel's roadside location, which was undoubtedly the only negative point of our trip. The rooms were very nice, the hotel and restaurant are magnificent, and the terrace is exceptional. We enjoyed the wonderful breakfast buffet and the bistro-style restaurant several times, each time with equal pleasure. The staff was charming and contributed to the success of our stay. Despite an unfortunate unforeseen event that forced us to leave, we have very fond memories of our stay. Thank you very much.

13/09/2026: Hello, We came on a Sunday morning (market day) because we were drawn by a great band playing near your terrace. There were two of us; my friend ordered a coffee and I ordered a glass of water because it was hot. The café owner was not at all happy that I wasn't "ordering because of the band," so he insisted I order a coffee or a Perrier, but unfortunately for me, I don't like either coffee or sparkling water. The glass of water and the coffee were brought to our table with little enthusiasm… A few minutes later, he told us he hadn't taken our payment, which meant: please leave, you're taking up my table for nothing. When it came time to pay, my friend went to pay for his coffee by card because we had given our change to the band, who had been playing around the terrace. The owner grumbled about the card payment because he wanted cash and sighed. This is the first time we've ever been treated so badly. It's unacceptable service from a business owner. Note that the more you spend, the better the service you'll receive. A word of warning to customers thirsty for just a coffee and a mediocre glass of water: steer clear.

14/06/2026: Very disappointed with the menu options; many items were out of stock. The advertised guinea fowl supreme was served to one person at the table, but the leg was practically raw. There was no choice of ice cream flavors. A shame, I won't be back.
