20/08/2026: WARNING!!! Under new ownership since December 2024. The menu, staff, and prices are completely different. Very disappointed that they advertised "homemade" food that was anything but. A grumpy waitress, a minimalist menu that's all over the place... In short, all good things must come to an end, and our favorite holiday restaurant is no more...

14/08/2026: We initially stopped there for a light snack on the terrace (the Liège waffles were excellent). And, looking at the menu, we were drawn to their Savoyard cider fondue... So we decided to try it and went back one evening. What a great decision! The fondue lived up to the first good impression we had made with the Liège waffles. The food was excellent, and the staff were welcoming and very accommodating. In short, a pleasant atmosphere, and we enjoyed everything there. Don't hesitate if you're looking for a good place for a meal, a snack, or even just a drink.

23/07/2026: Overall rating: 3/5 for dinner on July 18, 2026 The owner was very friendly and possessed genuine human qualities (he let us taste the wine before choosing the bottle, an excellent choice for this local vintage from the Hautes-Alpes). The rest of the dish and the dessert were also very good. The only drawback, and a significant one at that, was the sirloin steak. Although cooked rare as requested, it was not at all tender, which is a real shame for such a cut of beef. It was my 50th birthday, and I greatly appreciated the sparkling candle thoughtfully placed on my dessert. However, I mentioned the problem with the meat to the waiter and the owner, but no compensation was offered. This is regrettable, because otherwise, I would gladly have given it 5/5. I had even planned to treat myself to a nice digestif for the occasion, but the disappointment put me off. I left feeling a little disappointed. The owner replied on July 21st (see below). Here is my new message on July 23rd: Hello, Thank you for your thoughtful reply. We are still in the area for a few more days. Unfortunately, we won't be able to come back for dinner: besides the cost, the €120 bill is a significant sum for us, and we live in Brittany, 1000 km away. It's a shame that the appropriate response you mentioned could only take the form of another invitation to dine with you. However, if the opportunity arises to simply stop by and say hello and share a quick drink, we would be delighted. It would be a nice way to end this experience on a more positive note. 25/08/2026: A quick stop in Ceillac for a delicious break before heading out on a hike to Lake Sainte-Anne. A great place where the dishes are fresh, flavorful, and generous. We were lucky enough to enjoy the sunshine on the terrace in a very pleasant setting. ☀️ The welcome is warm and the atmosphere friendly. A lovely spot to discover before or after a hike in the area! 🏔️🥾

12/09/2026: Fantastic welcome, very friendly staff, quick and efficient service, easy access, and the terrace is right next to the parking lot. Definitely try it. We were a group of 50 people and many other tables were also occupied.

12/09/2026: Le Graal is the place to be in Montgenèvre! (It's best to book for lunch and dinner.) From morning till night, a friendly and smiling team awaits you, and the food is delicious! (My only slight complaint: the hamburger bun was disappointing in my opinion!) Fondues, pierrades, tartiflettes, and raclettes reflect the restaurant's welcoming atmosphere!

20/05/2026: Quiet and well-located hotel. Generous breakfast. It's a shame the spring mattress wasn't comfortable.

18/05/2026: The building is incredible, the welcome is very warm, the view from the restaurant, the spa (which I highly recommend, especially for the Nordic bath and its mountain view), and the rooms (we had a deluxe room) is simply sublime, no noise, the breakfast is very good and the room is magnificent, we loved it!!

07/08/2026: Simplicity: the watchword of this establishment. But isn't it said that "simple and effective" is the right word? There's no negative connotation to the use of the word "simple" here. The food is simple but good and mostly homemade; the value for money is excellent, and a special mention goes to the raspberry crumble, which I absolutely loved! The room is simple but clean and comfortable, as is the bathroom. The manager's warm welcome was also much appreciated; he was helpful and friendly. In short, the ideal hotel for an overnight stay or a few days in the region. A young couple with a baby on their way to their holiday destination.

20/06/2026: What a pleasant stay we had at this hotel! The welcome was very friendly and warm. The restaurant menu was varied, and the dishes we chose were delicious. The room was clean and quiet. All at reasonable prices.

25/07/2026: We waited 50 minutes without receiving a menu or water, despite asking twice. On our third request, the waitress still didn't seem ready to serve us and, on the contrary, insisted that a group of eight people who arrived after us be served. The food must be good, I suppose...
