23/02/2026: We've been regulars in Serre Chevalier, and at the L'Estable restaurant for four consecutive years. The food has always been excellent, which is exactly what you look for when you come to the mountains: good charcuterie and cheese. But the atmosphere with the owner wasn't great at all! But that was BEFORE! The team, now in 2026, is FANTASTIC, with a lovely owner and a PERFECT team, attentive to their customers without being pushy, always smiling and kind. 25/01/2026: Excellent local cuisine with consistently top-notch service and a warm welcome. We always stop here as a family during our ski trips. This establishment is well worth a visit. Don't hesitate to stop by!

20/02/2026: What can I say about this place... except excellent!! The service was perfect, a special thank you to the owner and Adam who took wonderful care of us. We loved it so much that we went back three times during our stay in Risoul. The raclette, the fondue, the tartiflette, the chocolate fondant! Everything was delicious! It's suitable for vegetarians as it's possible to replace the cured meats with vegetables. The restaurant is clean, welcoming, and warm. I think that's what the owners were aiming for, and it shows. Thank you so much.

03/01/2026: Incredible stay at the hostel! The owners are lovely and very dedicated. The hostel restaurant is delicious (local, fresh, and high-quality products). Breakfast is also great. Absolutely nothing to complain about, it was perfect, thank you so much. I highly recommend it!

23/02/2026: I thought some of the reviews were exaggerated, given how simple the place is and how unpretentious the rooms are, but the welcome and service are indeed very pleasant, and the food is simply delicious. Undoubtedly one of the best value-for-money, friendly establishments in the region.

06/02/2026: Five stars 🌟 across the board! Yes, this restaurant deserves five stars for its Aioli (having not tried any other dishes). A perfect Aioli! Generous portions with perfectly cooked vegetables, served separately. A beautiful piece of fish, perfectly firm. For dessert, the apple crumble 🍎 is a delight. The service is impeccable, with an incredibly kind owner. The atmosphere is fantastic, like a bistro, the kind you rarely find anymore. You're seated close together, without feeling cramped, which allows you to chat with your neighbor if you wish. The prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant and its Aioli!! A wonderful discovery. Easy and free street parking.

01/11/2025: The person I spoke to on the phone who took our payment was lovely, and the servers were very friendly! However, the raclette cheese was disappointing; it really tasted like supermarket cheese… Homemade raclette would have been better, in my opinion. Furthermore, the menu online doesn't match the restaurant's menu, and for two glasses of white wine and a raclette for two, we ended up paying €73, which is a bit of a shame.

30/03/2025: After Matefaim on Friday evening, we tried Chalala for lunch on Saturday! Another great place and a great time. The decor is really nice, the owners are lovely, the service is always fast and efficient despite the crowds, and the only downside is that we're pretty heavy going back to skiing given the generous dishes! Ceillac was a discovery for us this weekend, and you greatly contributed to making it a wonderful memory... Thank you!

15/02/2026: A warm and friendly welcome awaited us upon arrival, immediately putting us at ease. The dining room is truly charming, with vaulted ceilings and lovely exposed stonework, and the bistro-style wooden tables and chairs add a convivial and authentic touch. The dishes are good, simple, and made with artisanal products, which is evident in the flavors, even if the overall experience remains somewhat classic. The plates could perhaps use a little more flair or surprise to make the experience more memorable. We were slightly disappointed with our Shepherd's Platters, where the meat pies seemed to have been "forgotten." With a price reduction of around five euros, the quantity/quality/price ratio would undoubtedly be more balanced. Overall, a pleasant place to sample local products, although for a similar result, you could just as easily fill your basket with gourmet treats directly at the market.

20/02/2026: As longtime customers and restaurant owners, we miss the previous owner. The setting was pleasant (the waitress was excellent and filling in that day). We had booked five days in advance and requested the downstairs room for 7 pm. Upon arrival, the owner told us, "We'll seat you there…" He then brought us two chairs, as the table was upstairs… set up for only two people… They brought my 80-year-old father a soaking wet, frozen patio chair (it was snowing outside) that was too low for him… After we pointed this out, they brought my parents two large armchairs. The meal went smoothly. When it came time to pay, the owner apologized and offered us a digestif, which somewhat made up for the initial lack of professionalism. Please pay attention to your customers 😉. Best of luck.

18/02/2026: If you're not hungry, I recommend this restaurant. The beef is a good appetizer, but not for the main course; you'll leave hungry. The side dishes are overcooked potatoes and unappetizing ratatouille. If, after reading this, you decide to go, double-check your bill at the counter. They won't bring it to your table, just to rip you off even more: one extra soda and two extra fruit juices. Don't be surprised, though, the carafe of water is €5.50. This restaurant is definitely not what it used to be. I completely agree with a comment I just read: running a restaurant is a profession, not a scam.
