11/11/2025: Magnificent mountain pass, explored by motorcycle. Off-season, it's perfect. Beautiful views from the pass with panoramic vistas and wooden sun loungers for relaxing.

It's very professional, so the food is excellent, and the service is very friendly. Even for a late-morning coffee, which elsewhere would disturb the team finishing up for the busy service ahead, at L'Echaillon we are welcomed warmly, and we can pay by credit card!

06/03/2026: I highly recommend this restaurant. Whether you're looking for a sweet treat at 4 pm, lunch in the sun at noon, or a cozy dinner in the evening, you'll find what you're looking for. The food is delicious, there's a good selection, and the prices are more than reasonable. Plus, the staff is lovely.
We never go to Vars les Claux without stopping by La Zizanie.

Update February 2026: Change of ownership, but not of quality. Service remains top-notch despite the full terrace. The portions are still generous.
