14/02/2026: We had a pleasant dinner at this restaurant on a rainy evening in mid-September 2025. We were greeted very kindly, along with our medium-sized dog. The service was prompt and the food was good. The price was also excellent.

12/03/2026: Warm and friendly welcome. Excellent food. Visited twice in the same week during the February school holidays. We will definitely be back next year.

09/03/2026: Fantastic team both in the dining room and the kitchen, great atmosphere, special mention for the excellent duck hearts and homemade desserts... I highly recommend it!!!

29/03/2026: I bought pistachio cakes, and they were a huge disappointment. There was no pistachio flavor at all, just green food coloring. €4.50 a slice for what was essentially sponge cake. I'm very disappointed with the quality. I don't recommend them.

22/02/2026: Passing through the area, we stumbled upon this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. The waiter was very professional and friendly. My dish (pasta carbonara) was definitely the best I've ever had. The atmosphere is also very nice! Don't hesitate :)

30/03/2026: As a regular visitor, I've unfortunately noticed a decline in the overall experience at Balnéa. My last visit was particularly disappointing for several reasons: • Facilities and maintenance: A large part of the site was out of service (especially the entire Japanese Baths area). This lack of availability was not mentioned at all when we purchased our tickets, which is a lack of transparency. • Noise and supervision: The tranquility that should be the golden rule of a spa was nowhere to be found. A particularly noisy group disturbed the serenity of the place, and no lifeguard intervened to enforce the rules of silence. The security staff seems understaffed given the number of visitors. After taking the time to read the numerous recent reviews, I regret to see that my criticisms are shared by a large portion of your clientele. Many of us have pointed out the same problems (noise pollution, recurring breakdowns, lack of transparency), yet management seems to have taken no concrete steps to address them. It's regrettable to see such an institution resting on its laurels and its massive customer base at the expense of service quality. A place's prestige isn't measured solely by its setting, but also by its ability to listen to and respect its customers. As things stand, Balnéa is no longer, in my opinion, the leading wellness destination in the Hautes-Pyrénées if the service doesn't return to a level commensurate with its prices.

19/03/2026: We were very disappointed with our visit to this mountain restaurant/bar. We simply wanted a coffee and a glass of water, but they refused to give us water for free. I found that rather presumptuous, especially since it's the only mountain restaurant in this ski resort where, apparently, there's no drinking water, while all the others had freely accessible fountains. We left feeling very disappointed.

02/03/2026: So, how can I put it?! This restaurant has absolutely no authenticity. The garbure (cabbage soup) was disgusting, tasted like vinegar, it was awful. I even had a stomach ache that same evening. And the "Puit d'Amour" (Well of Love) dessert? Honestly, it was just ice cream with cream on top for 11 euros. Seriously, avoid this restaurant; it has nothing authentic about it, not even the owner, the cook, or the waitress. Look elsewhere; there are real mountain restaurants in Cauterets.

20/08/2025: Rooms are mostly small and without views. The building is somewhat run-down but beautiful: the classic staircase, wide wooden planks, closet doors, and room doors are also attractive. Reception is often unmanned, though friendly. The price/quality ratio is not good. Good hygiene.

20/08/2025: Stayed in early August. The room and bathroom were clean and equipped with all modern amenities, including a welcome folder with useful information for your stay. The restaurant is a real plus, with its lovingly prepared cuisine and breathtaking views of the valley. A 15-minute walk from the shops (but 2 minutes from the Luzea center or the Napoleon III Bridge and its bungee jumping), this hotel offers a peaceful base. You can be sure of a peaceful night's sleep after climbing the Tourmalet (and a good meal at the restaurant to celebrate!) Thank you to the team for contributing to this successful stay in the Pays de Toy!

01/03/2026: Nice place for a quick lunch while visiting the Basilica in Lourdes. It is steps away from the sanctuary and offers a very nice outdoor meal.

20/12/2025: Being an American and in overseas I saw “New Orleans” what better way to get French and spicy creole food while in Lourdes! The Paella was delicious and it multiple amounts of seafood such as calamari, mussels, shrimp, and scallops. As for the burger and fried egg it was mediocre. The burger was nothing to brag about (it lacked flavor). My family member ordered chicken burger and they didn’t like it at all. Though, the Paella makes up for the rest of the meal. 31/03/2026: We sat down without many expectations but were pleasantly surprised. Everything was great, and the staff was very friendly.

01/03/2026: Quick service and friendly staff. We had lunch there both days of our stay and we will definitely return!

28/11/2025: Open at 7 pm but not ready to welcome customers on time. We weren't offered a drink, wine was spilled on our table during service, the wrong dishes arrived (sent back only to arrive 10 minutes later), and a superb "piece of beef in a Bleu d'Auvergne crust" was actually a piece of beef without the crust or the Bleu cheese, served with a defrosted mushroom sauce (for the modest sum of €27!!!). We couldn't resist and didn't even order dessert. Avoid this place.

24/08/2025: This restaurant was a pleasant surprise for lunch on Friday, August 22nd. Great value for money, impeccable service, and a lovely dining room decor. We live in Toulouse and will definitely return to this establishment during our future visits to Lourdes. We highly recommend it. Don't hesitate to visit.

13/03/2026: A bad experience at this place, which looked visually inviting. There was a remarkable lack of friendliness, as if we were bothering them, even though we had booked two days in advance. No compensation was offered for changing a dish. They don't accept criticism, which could be beneficial for future improvements. While some dishes were good, others remain to be seen in terms of quantity and quality. Furthermore, hygiene is questionable: the restaurant was disorganized, cramped, and lacked ventilation! Very unpleasant. The dishwashing area was in a deplorable state, and the kitchen wasn't much better. Even though this place is supposed to be a convivial spot for enjoying a good raclette, the lack of ventilation... I unfortunately cannot recommend it.

13/03/2026: We had a reservation for six and arrived five minutes early. However, the table hadn't been prepared beforehand, and we felt like we were intruding! One of the servers went to get a table from outside and put it at the end of another, which blocked the flow of other customers. There was also a lack of ventilation, a loose electrical cable above the door, and poor hygiene... And let's not even mention the waitress who must have lost her smile and friendliness on the slopes. But their pizzas, at least, were good!

14/03/2026: Excellent restaurant, the service was superb. Very good staff, friendly and lovely. A very pleasant experience. I highly recommend it.

11/03/2026: It lives up to its promises: a three-course meal for €18.80. The flank steak was excellent, and everyone had it cooked exactly as they requested. The potatoes were piping hot (a rarity!), and the Roquefort sauce wasn't served in a tiny thimbleful like so many others. The burrata was a good starter that day. They also have woke dishes. In short, an excellent "canteen" served by a very friendly young Ukrainian woman. P.S.: Dogs welcome!
