03/10/2026: Excellent gourmet restaurant in Magescq. A three-course lunch menu (starter, main, dessert) is available for €25 on weekdays or €40. We opted for the latter. We started with cocktails, which were very good, followed by delicious prawn ravioli and grilled prawns. We sampled all three main courses: roasted duck breast with chanterelles, seared octopus with chorizo ​​rice, and half a pigeon stuffed under the skin with peanuts. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The desserts were excellent: a deconstructed lemon tart, a chocolate tart, and a fig poached in red wine. The service was pleasant and professional, provided by two smiling women. The dining room is lovely, with large bay windows overlooking the garden (there's also a room with a fireplace, and a terrace for sunny days). A wonderful discovery with homemade cuisine and fresh, local ingredients.

29/04/2026: We had an absolutely delightful lunch at La Ferme aux Grives, part of the beautiful Les Prés d’Eugénie, Michel Guérard estate, a member of Relais & Châteaux. • From the moment we walked through the gate, we knew we were in for something special. The garden setting is simply magical, surrounded by roses in full bloom, with birdsong in the background and even the occasional lizard passing through. It is the kind of place that immediately invites you to slow down and take it all in. • The experience was seamless from start to finish. Service was warm, attentive and perfectly paced, striking that balance between professionalism and genuine hospitality. We began with cocktails before enjoying a beautifully executed three course meal. The dishes were elegant yet grounded in the region, with a clear respect for seasonal ingredients and classic French technique. Every plate was as visually refined as it was delicious. • What makes this place particularly special is how effortlessly it delivers a true Relais & Châteaux experience. There is no pretension, just a deep sense of place, quality and care in every detail. • For those who may not know, the estate is closely tied to Michel Guérard,and the entire property reflects his philosophy of refined yet approachable gastronomy. • This was one of those rare lunches where everything comes together perfectly, from the setting and atmosphere to the food and service. A truly memorable experience, and absolutely worth it.

21/04/2026: We really appreciated this restaurant—it was such a lovely experience. The starters were outstanding; we had the best asparagus to start. As a vegetarian, I was especially impressed that they prepared an amazing risotto just for me. The side dishes were delicious and felt like true comfort food, and the dessert was simply fantastic. The service was attentive and welcoming, and the setting is incredibly charming—rustic, cozy, and full of character. It has a unique atmosphere that makes you disconnect and feel transported to another time. Highly recommended!

22/05/2026: It's a gem, a meal worthy of a Michelin star, at a reasonable price, and the couple who run it are lovely. A marvel! I drove 15km to try it out of curiosity and I'll definitely recommend it for the sheer pleasure of it.

26/08/2026: El Piquero was recommended to us by friends, as we had limited time on the first day of the feria. The welcome and the service staff were friendly and pleasant. We ordered cod on a bed of piperade, with an egg and a small gratin, all on the same plate. The fish was cooked perfectly, and the piperade was flavorful without being too salty or spicy. It's a family-run restaurant; without the recommendation, we might not have gone in. So don't hesitate, you can walk in and enjoy a hearty meal. The decor is a bit kitschy, but that's also part of the restaurant's charm. We'll gladly return.
