If you're looking for exceptionally high-quality mussels, look no further: LA MOULE EN FOLIE is "The Place To Be". Everything was absolutely perfect: On the plate: The mussels were succulent, plump, and perfectly prepared. And what can I say about the fries... authentic Belgian-style fries, cooked in beef fat. Absolutely divine! You can taste the passion for the product. The atmosphere: A fantastic welcome that immediately puts a smile on your face. A huge congratulations to the owners: Monsieur works wonders in the kitchen (a true chef!), while Madame provides impeccable service with boundless energy. Special mention also goes to the waitress who was lovely and attentive throughout the meal. You feel good, you eat (very) well, and you leave with only one desire: to come back! Equivalent to a grand hotel restaurant in the luxury districts of Paris. A wonderful surprise to find this place in St. Galmier. And above all, the owner is incredibly involved in every aspect of the business – truly unheard of. As a resident of St. Galmier, I'm blown away. I highly recommend it! 👍😉

02/04/2026: In the heart of Charlieu, near the abbey, don't be put off by the unassuming storefront. The interior is pleasant and welcoming (with the option of an outdoor terrace at the back of the restaurant). Several set menus are available. We chose the "relaxed menu," and everything was truly delicious and generously portioned, from the appetizer to the dessert. The service was efficient and prompt. The restrooms were spacious and very clean (my bonus for the end, which sometimes spoils the experience... not here at all). I highly recommend it.
