16/12/2025: A business lunch at La Roserais restaurant in Montbrison, in a very understated, elegant, and refined setting. The atmosphere is particularly calm, ideal for relaxed discussions. The set lunch menu (starter, main course, dessert) at €24 offers excellent value for money. The service is highly professional, attentive, and discreet. A perfect choice for both business meetings and fine dining.

10/12/2025: A well-known and reputable restaurant in the region. I'm left with mixed feelings. The setting is pleasant, especially in summer I imagine, with its lovely outdoor area. The dining room is classic, nicely decorated, but a bit noisy. The menu offers a choice between meat and fish. The prices are geared towards fine dining, between €35 and €55 for the set menu, excluding drinks. It's good, refined, and visually appealing, but something is missing to justify the price. The wine list is varied and of good quality. The biggest drawback is the service, or more precisely, the lack of staff. There's only one person to handle service for the entire dining room. As a result, the service suffers. Menus are placed on the table before we even sit down, orders are taken hastily, and service and explanations are rushed. In short, it's the kind of service you find in small restaurants and accept, but not in a fine dining establishment where you have the right to expect meticulous, calm, and attentive service, especially for a bill of €200 for four people. Fine dining isn't just about the food; it's also about the service.

29/01/2026: An absolutely delightful experience at this restaurant. First, a most welcoming reception, followed by extremely attentive service. Suffering from severe food intolerances that can be particularly difficult in restaurants, the chef simply came out of the kitchen to understand my needs and instinctively created a personalized menu for me. Beyond the professionalism and kindness, the taste was more than exceptional! Fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned! I was won over from beginning to end. Thank you for this simply perfect moment, in my opinion.

04/11/2025: Nice elegant quiet (except for one cackling laugh from another diner) setting. Food was served fairly fast for French standard. I had the set menu and a glass of wine and the bill came to 43 Euros but that was after a mistake where my bill was 90+ Euros.
