23/10/2024: The restaurant really needs to position itself: either it is a low-end canteen in a magnificent location or the service matches the setting and the food served. Only 6 people were in the restaurant during my lunch. Dirty wine glasses, when you ask to change you seem to be annoying the waiter. Bottle of white wine placed at the table like a common Coke, no seal to keep the bottle cold. We are not made to taste the wine before, in fact we do not even open it in front of us, a guarantee of quality normally. Afterwards we stay 15 minutes without glasses and therefore without the possibility of drinking a glass of wine. When the glasses arrive the dishes follow so no small aperitif is possible. No bread although we have a dish with sauce. Coffee from one of the guests who arrived when everyone had finished their dessert and tea (I remind you that we are a table of 4 and that there was just a couple during our visit, no excuses possible). The worst part of all this is that the waiter made no secret of making us understand that we were annoying or too demanding when we are really simple and unpretentious people, pure northerners who love to chat, etc. I would like to that someone respond to my comment seeing that the sales department always thanks good reviews but never responds to criticisms made by customers!

18/11/2024: Wir waren 7 Personen.Der Maitre d Hotel hatte mir gesagt ich mache ihnen einen schönen Tisch.Ich bin enttäuscht gewesen der Raum war kühl keine Blumen oder Deko nur Servietten und menukarten
Das Essen war sehr gut tolle Gerichte aber die warmen Speise waren lauwarm
sehr schade.Es war trotzdem einen schönen Abend aber nicht so perfekt wie ich es erhofft hatte.
09/11/2024: Hôtel situé dans le vieux Lille, superbe, de même que la salle du restaurant, au ton boisé. Notre choix s'est porté sur le menu Harmonie du soir : menu plutôt bien équilibré, nos allergies avaient été anticipées. Cuisine de très bonne facture, quoique les sauces (hollandaise du poisson) et jus / bouillon (des cèpes) étaient fades ou trop aqueuse. Petit bémol. Le plus gros bémol vient du service, surtout dans un restaurant de ce standing. Le sommelier est inexistant, sans doute trop habitué à servir des accords mets et vins. J'ai même du réclamer le livre de cave pour pouvoir choisir mon vin (un superbe Volnay 1er cru les caillerets, au passage), sans être conseillé... On sentait que le personnel voulait finit vite le service (et pourtant nous n'étions pas les derniers) car nos 2 desserts nous ont été amenés en même temps, suivi des mignardises 2 min après... Vraiment dommage.

Je suis venu avec des amis pour manger, et nous avons adoré. Le pavé de rumsteak Angus était tout simplement un délice !
Un grand merci à toute l'équipe pour votre professionnalisme et votre bonne humeur.
10/08/2024: Café soit disant “ristretto” c’est à dire en principe “serré” est arrivé aussi léger que du thé.
Le café est vraiment le parent pauvre de la gastronomie chez Hippopotamus visiblement.
Pourtant le prix lui est à la hauteur.
Merci de faire un effort, il y a du boulot!!

. service impeccable. Jusqu a ce que j aille au sanitaire femme..ustoire de verifier le tout..désuet.. peu propre..toiles d araignees. Certes dans les douves..mais quand meme... donc malgré la qualité du repas.. nous qui cherchions.salle repas privatif mariage 28 personnes et autre salle pr autre mariage de 80.convives nous faisons le tour des lieux susceptibles d accueillir nos types de réception....nous n irons pas
.désolant.. on pensait avoir trouvé..les cinq dernières minutes ont été rédhibitoires.. c est trop.dommage
13/08/2024: The service, atmosphere and location of this restaurant are top notch. But that doesn't make everything right. We took the 37euro menu. For this price the level of preparation was too low. The food was not served special enough to justify this price.

Very good dinner, we had a very pleasant time and the employees are very friendly. I highly recommend, I don't usually leave reviews for restaurants but this one is worth it!!

23/08/2024: Please note different prices from other Ange stores on certain products. I spoke with the manager who confirmed to me that depending on the location the price may vary. I was surprised to have to pay €1.70 per piece of dough, compared to 0.70 usually in other Ange bakeries.

25/08/2024: We received the menu for 45 euros as a gift (excluding drinks). The starter was served to us (not at all ripe tomato, with very roughly cut mozzarella) then the dessert. Inevitably a lack of organization!
We still had our dish, pork chop with sweet potato fries and half corn?! (Very painful to eat by the way). As for dessert, nothing too crazy, even a doubt about whether it’s “homemade”. It’s a terrible shame to be able to be in such a place, and not to be able to enjoy a good meal.

22/05/2024: Disappointed in everything, people who are not honest have their confidence in a beautiful wedding by giving them the chance to make us food and a good atmosphere with a warm welcome puts all this does not know how to pass like his cold meal at the place to be hot, when not enough even non-existent, cut the music for the evening, we had to make do with bluetooth speakers from home and us portable, cakes despite having to specify big allergy to certain ingredients the lady put some inside all the same so inedible cake, fortunately we had planned a separate cake for this day so special, not honest because we had to buy the dishes at all which to date have not been returned to us knows the non-disposable dishes as well as our glasses, in bad times because we gave them all the money to ask for other services which did not take place and at the time of reimbursing us the Bistroquet and closed definitively and no one answered the phone anymore nor when we went directly to their house no one really dishonest, drink to buy in barrel from them no them and still not refunded and so on, don't go there because now it sells takeaway despite the cessation of activities it was closed for lack of hygiene, staff not declared and without paper so not contract go your way because you will lose money, feathers etc....
But they are not going to let us do this after filing a complaint since they have plenty of elements to sign from home 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡honest to them for being like that
