The meal was very good, the service was excellent, and the waitresses were fantastic—quick and friendly. So I'll gladly come back.

13/09/2026: We were served defrosted food that was bad and indigestible. We couldn't pay by card because they claimed the machine was broken, so we had to pay in cash. There was no one there, and it was a Sunday. Avoid this place.

01/09/2026: Lunch Sunday, August 30th Nice little restaurant. Everything was delicious. A unique amuse-bouche with the aperitif, a nice little touch with the coffee. Fruit jellies and shortbread cookies. We were seated outside, the service was a bit slow, but we were so comfortable... we'll definitely be back this winter to enjoy the fireplace inside. 👍

07/08/2026: I introduced my children to brasserie-style lunch here and it was excellent, from the welcome to the payment. Generous portions, ice-cold drinks, and clean cutlery.

07/08/2026: A great find for my daughter and me! The food was delicious, we thoroughly enjoyed it! The waitress was very kind and pleasant, with quick service. I highly recommend this restaurant! And on Thursday evenings from 7 pm to 9:30 pm, they offer free quiche, tapas, pizzas, and charcuterie; you only pay for drinks. Don't hesitate to go!

31/07/2026: I just ate at this restaurant; it was my first time there. The food was good, but the atmosphere wasn't really there. However, the waitress, who I understood to be the manager, had absolutely no respect! One table didn't like a pizza, and apparently it was a huge deal since she spent the rest of the shift criticizing and mocking the customer (who had already left) with two other tables who must have been her acquaintances. I think it's incredibly disrespectful to do that just because a customer didn't like your dish. I pointed it out to her because she wasn't being discreet at all, and her excuse was, "Well, yeah, but he said he knew me, I don't know him." So, if you want to be insulted behind your back by the manager, this is the place for you, LOL. Anyway, bye.

18/09/2026: An incredible family run restaurant with the most delicious traditional home-made French food ever - including the best scallops I have ever eaten in my life. The food is so great that we returned each night of our holiday last year and this year, while staying at the Marriott (only a 20 minute walk). The portions are huge and the prices are very reasonable! The owners are very friendly and catered the foods exactly to our tastes (even pleasing the vegetarians)!

29/08/2026: What a great night out with my boyfriend. If you’re looking for affordable traditional French cooking, this is the place. We walked in a little intimidated, but the owner welcomed us warmly and we ended up having the loveliest chat. We both had the same reaction: the food tastes like our French grandmothers’ cooking. The portions are generous, the meat was cooked to perfection, and the dessert brought back the taste of childhood: the pies I used to eat with my grandma in the garden. The decor is a bit dated and a kinda worn around the edges, but that’s really not what you come here for. It’s not sophisticated, it’s simple and real. And we shared plenty of laughs with the owner. I’ll be back soon for his lunch box (€11 for lunch is cheaper than a kebab!)

14/07/2026: I'm giving my opinion: the equestrian center almost burned down. It's not very safe for the horses or the people who work there. Admittedly, it's not their fault, but the center should be better protected. My horse is there; he managed to escape, but I recommend it. It's very good and very professional.

11/09/2026: We only tried the hidden terrace of the sushi and cocktail bar! Super cozy alcove, stylish design. Lovely waiter, good sushi. Beautiful presentation. The gin, basil, and cucumber cocktail is as delicious as it is beautiful!! On a Friday at 6 pm, we were the only ones there, fantastic 😁. We'll definitely be back 👍🏼

07/09/2026: September 7, 2026: Well, there you have it, another flawless experience with attentive staff and impeccable service. My mother and I had a wonderful time, and of course, we will return and recommend this establishment to our friends and family, who are still talking about it. July 2026: Ah, the haven of peace in the magical village of Barbizon: the shaded terrace is perfectly laid out, the cuisine authentic, the chef welcoming, and the service attentive. Only one thought comes to mind: I will return with my loved ones to share this unexpected gem on the edge of the Fontainebleau forest.

02/09/2026: Great place with good products. Service sometimes not easy with the lady at the bar, it's difficult to understand each other sometimes.

11/08/2026: I needed to heat up a baby's meal, and the restaurant employee (an elderly, healthy man) refused, saying they didn't have a microwave, even though I told them I was ordering. Yet, just a few days earlier, a much nicer elderly lady had happily microwaved it for me.

10/09/2026: A place I used to frequent a lot, but it's changed drastically. The dining room is cold, the concept rather peculiar, and there's no sense of conviviality there anymore. As for the prices, they've increased dramatically. €20 for the burger of the month??? And it's not even truffle in it... Camembert, walnuts, salad? Tell me, what justifies that price? Even with the best Camembert in the area, it wouldn't be worth €20... And a little professional advice: when you have more staff than customers in the restaurant (right in the middle of the evening service), it's time to ask yourself some serious questions. Expect to pay an average of €25 per person for a burger. I think it's bordering on indecent when the price isn't justified.

09/09/2026: This is a place I used to frequent regularly several years ago. I recently returned, and the courtesy of the place has definitely diminished. The decor has become cold and sterile. There's no sense of conviviality, and it's become very expensive—expect to pay around €50 for two set menus plus a children's menu. The restrooms are in a deplorable state. The kitchen is dirty, and it really doesn't make you want to stay. Nevertheless, the burgers are still good for now, even if the recipes haven't changed one bit since it opened.

15/07/2026: A very pleasant little country inn. The lovely dining room was relatively cool during this heatwave, and the welcome was friendly, with a parrot roaming freely in the bar before entering the restaurant. The service was simple and cheerful. An unbeatable price of €17 for a starter, main course, and dessert, with a choice of three starters and three main courses, and about ten desserts. There were practically no extra charges, just two or three at a maximum of €1 or €2. The food was good and plentiful. Very satisfying. There were a few minor drawbacks, but nothing major, and at that price, it's fantastic! The champagne soup served as an aperitif was too sweet, and the rosé we chose wasn't particularly interesting, but it was an opportunity to discover an unfamiliar appellation and grape variety (Saint Mont and Pinenc). And at 12% ABV, that's become a rarity! The gazpacho was delicious, as were the duck fillet and ribeye steak, and the chicken salads, a sort of modern take on Caesar, were incredibly generous. I highly recommend it.

31/07/2026: We came to this large restaurant near the train station one evening during the week. The servers were very friendly and welcoming, and we were able to sit on the terrace. However, the food wasn't good. The mountain burger buns were extremely dry, and the burger was swimming in ketchup (the meat itself was very good, though). The pizza verde was also very bland (far too much cheese, no salt, etc.), and the zucchini was burnt. We were really disappointed with the food. I don't recommend it.

20/07/2026: I do not recommend this restaurant. The four of us wanted to eat there for lunch during our work break. Exceptionally, that day, I had my dog ​​with me. The young woman told us it was fine for us, but not for the dog. I'm not one of those people who abandon their dog just to go out for a meal. When I asked her why, she replied that the fur would fly around and could cause allergies. Please note, we're talking about a small dog weighing 2 kg, which was in its carrier, completely closed. The fur couldn't possibly fly around, and I pointed this out to her. She simply replied, "That's how it is, we don't want them here!" This wasn't indicated anywhere at the restaurant entrance. A few hours later, I walked past the restaurant again and noticed that tables had been set up on the sidewalk so customers could eat on the terrace, which wasn't offered to us. I've never been refused entry to a restaurant with my dog, especially when he's in a carrier. We understood perfectly well that she didn't like dogs. Luckily, we were very well received at another restaurant where we could have our lunch break. Now I know which restaurant I won't recommend.
