07/03/2026: A reservation request made the day before was never confirmed or refused, with no response whatsoever. There's no point in offering online reservations if this is how it works. We arrived at opening time for a table of five, unsure if our reservation had gone through, and were turned away. The restaurant was completely empty. The person I spoke to wasn't particularly friendly and offered no apology for the lack of confirmation.

02/03/2026: We arrived as a party of 12, and this clearly posed a problem for the waitress. The welcome was particularly cold: no audible or pleasant greeting, unlike the customers who arrived after us. Her closed-off attitude left no room for doubt. She curtly told us not to sit where we had chosen, then gestured towards tables in the back that she was "going to prepare," without any further explanation or courtesy. A more respectful and professional welcome would have been appreciated.

14/03/2026: First time grabbing a quick bite, so I didn't have time to try the sweet crepes; that'll be for next time. The welcome was friendly and the savory crepes were very good.

The team listens to your requests and doesn't hesitate to offer ideas based on their experience. Thank you to them for this superb performance, which made our evening exceptional.

03/05/2026: What a delightful surprise this restaurant was in this lovely corner of Brie! The welcome was warm, the menu offered a wide variety of choices, the food (and cocktails) were delicious, and the service was impeccable – no long wait between courses despite a full house. We were glad we'd made a reservation, as this restaurant seems to be quite popular. I highly recommend it, and we'll definitely be back when the weather is nice to enjoy the terrace overlooking the Morin River.

06/05/2026: Pleasant shaded terrace! Group meal for 83 guests with a €36 set menu, including aperitif, wine, and coffee. Uninspired food: aperitif served without any accompaniments, not even a saucer of peanuts. Fish loaf extremely salty, barely edible. Coq au vin without any sauce, extremely dry and tasteless. Rustic cake not bad but more like a petit four than a normal slice (4.5cm square). After asking for it, we were reluctantly given a second 70cl carafe of rosé for a table of 8! At dessert time, we had the audacity to ask for another carafe. The waitress categorically refused with this unbelievable comment: you were entitled to 25cl each and we're already at 50cl, so if you want more, it's extra! I'll let you do the math: 2 carafes of 70cl = 140cl divided by 8 = 17.5cl per person. I don't know what to call this: blatant bad faith, a blatant rip-off, or outright fraud? I don't know how the owner will respond to this criticism, but above all, he should keep his cool and avoid rudeness and insults. Once is enough! When a group brings in €3,000 in revenue in just a few hours, one has the right to expect a little more consideration. The owner's response is telling: he sticks to his mantra: "Everyone was happy last year!" and doesn't address my remarks in any way, which are not feelings, but facts! I wasn't there in 2025, so my comments only concern 2026 and remain unchanged. As for the lack of courage he alludes to, I can easily throw it back at him, since it's customary for the waiters or the owner to circulate among the tables and ask how things went! Yet this gentleman didn't deign, or dare, to appear, no doubt too busy counting his pennies behind the counter... As for the loss of two customers you mention, make no mistake, it's the entire group you've lost...for good!

30/04/2026: Not recommended! Outrageous group meal!!! Kir was far too sweet. The starter was inedible and far too salty. The coq au vin was tasteless... probably boiled. The wine quota was nowhere near met, and they categorically refused to refill it. The waitresses were unfriendly. All this for 36 euros. I repeat, OUTRAGEOUS! ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED!

23/04/2026: Fantastic welcome and a super friendly atmosphere. The dishes were delicious and very generous. Finally, real homemade mashed potatoes! I highly recommend it.

23/03/2026: A wonderful surprise! The servers were lovely and smiling. The food was served quickly, and the portions were delicious and generous. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything was homemade, and the prices were very reasonable.

17/04/2026: Hidden gem! Au Bon Petit Bailly offers incredible food and a lovely, relaxed ambiance. It’s rare to find a spot that have the traditional French food and the 'homey' feel of a local bistro. We had for dinner calamari, steak, fish and lemon meringue.

13/03/2026: A fantastic little neighborhood spot! You can immediately tell the food is homemade, with fresh ingredients, lots of flavor, and generous portions, as you can see from the photo of the white chocolate/coconut dessert. The dishes are simple but really well-prepared, and it's a pleasure to find an authentic place like this. The welcome is warm thanks to Olivier's cheerful disposition; you quickly feel right at home. Highly recommended!

18/04/2026: The food was worse than mediocre. We ordered duck breasts that were impossible to cut, they were so tough. We were offered to change our dishes. The ribeye steak served as a replacement proved to be just as tough; we had to give up after barely a third of the way through. As for the fish, hastily defrosted and reheated, it was barely edible. The final surprise came when the bill arrived: we paid for the most expensive dishes, the ones we had ordered by default, not by choice. Neither a restaurateur nor a merchant.

03/04/2026: I'm sharing my experience from last year's candlelight dinner. We had booked online, and it wasn't possible to choose our table. Arriving 20 minutes early, there were two empty tables in the front row. We asked if it was possible to be seated at the first table, but were refused, claiming it was already reserved! This is astonishing because at no point during the booking process was it possible to reserve a specific table location. I strongly suspect the refusal was due to our name… To top it all off, once I got home, I was overcome with violent vomiting, and I won't go into details… food poisoning. You can imagine my anger and disgust with this restaurant, especially considering the price of the meal and the portion size! I do not recommend this place!

22/03/2026: A self-service restaurant located just past the castle ticket offices is very convenient for a break before or after your visit. The place is well-organized, with quick and efficient service, ideal when the grounds are busy. The selection is simple but sufficient for a quick meal, allowing you to enjoy the site without wasting too much time. A practical solution for eating right on-site during your castle visit.

15/02/2026: A warm welcome, pleasant setting, superb breakfast – highly recommended! And best of all, there's a swimming pool. I recommend this establishment if you're passing through the area.

07/05/2026: This restaurant that offers homemade takeaway meals on Sundays sounds great on paper, but in practice, it's a disaster! April 12, 2026: Chicken Columbo. After numerous calls over several days, no one answers, making it impossible to place an order. Later, we decided to try again and call back about the duck legs with orange sauce, scheduled for May 10, 2026. We finally managed to get someone on the phone after many calls since the beginning of the week, only to be told that they've stopped offering that meal because they've decided to participate in a flea market. Seriously?! From now on, please stop using this kind of flyer that you display in the local shops!

14/03/2026: We just discovered a fantastic restaurant! The welcome was warm, and the food was superb—generous portions and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys good food.
