21/05/2026: Hello What a disappointment regarding the dirty and outdated room. The reception was fine, the massage was fine, and dinner and service were fine. But the room was a disaster. The photos speak for themselves...

21/05/2026: We've stayed at this hotel before and have always been delighted. However, our last stay was a real disappointment. The room was nowhere near what you'd expect from a 4-star hotel: mold and dust around the window, faded paint, and stains on the floor. On the other hand, the staff were excellent, as were the restaurant and service. And a big thank you to the masseuse who was perfect.

05/06/2026: We ate there as a group. The food was good and the setting was pleasant.

04/06/2026: It's not a restaurant, just a self-service cafeteria. The menu we saw on our way in, just for a visit to the park, was fine... but when we came for lunch, there was only the daily special. The menu is only available on weekends... and the daily special was "a chicken cooked in broth with zucchini (the heads still on)," and the overall taste was "average." In short, we asked at reception to see the menu before going in, since we couldn't go out to eat and then come back... but we were disappointed when we returned from a short walk around the castle to find the menu had changed and there was nothing left but the daily special!

30/08/2026: The pizza has very little toppings, but if you have no choice, you can treat yourself. The restaurant has a microwave and plenty of 220V outlets, so you can sit with your laptop.

07/03/2026: A reservation request made the day before was never confirmed or refused, with no response whatsoever. There's no point in offering online reservations if this is how it works. We arrived at opening time for a table of five, unsure if our reservation had gone through, and were turned away. The restaurant was completely empty. The person I spoke to wasn't particularly friendly and offered no apology for the lack of confirmation.

02/03/2026: We arrived as a party of 12, and this clearly posed a problem for the waitress. The welcome was particularly cold: no audible or pleasant greeting, unlike the customers who arrived after us. Her closed-off attitude left no room for doubt. She curtly told us not to sit where we had chosen, then gestured towards tables in the back that she was "going to prepare," without any further explanation or courtesy. A more respectful and professional welcome would have been appreciated.

25/07/2026: Once bitten, twice shy. Accustomed to Sunday brunch, we decided to venture a little further afield. The €25 price tag should have been a red flag. Upon arrival, we found some rusty tables, a number of plastic tables and chairs, weed-filled pebbles on the floor, empty planters, or just weeds or dead plants, weeds over 60cm tall in some places, and a sofa and its coffee table in a deplorable state. Let's move on to the "buffet." Nothing was chilled, the smoked salmon was still warm, there was only one hot dish, four kinds of desserts that were practically competing for attention, the cold cuts weren't kept warm, so the pâtés were warm, the sausage was dripping, and so on. Not to mention that when you book, they clearly state that payments are cash only—a great way to supplement their income, but when it's at the customer's expense…

16/06/2026: We were on a long bike tour, and although the restaurant was about to close, the very friendly landlady let us have a bit of the buffet: fantastic appetizers, salads, hot dishes and desserts - we were thrilled!

26/09/2026: Very good. Good savory and sweet crepes. Good service.

26/09/2026: The price-quality ratio is not up to par with Breton crêperies. It's a shame my dessert was served 15 minutes after everyone else. The dining room was very noisy. I wouldn't recommend it if you're in the area on a weekend.

26/04/2026: We had a good night's sleep; the bedding was comfortable, the hotel is charming, and the staff were welcoming and very kind. The only downside was that it was a bit noisy on the street side due to the paving stones laid in front.

However, the staff needs improvement... there were arguments between the servers, between the kitchen and the dining room, which wasn't great, especially when you come to have a pleasant and friendly time, well, not in front of the other customers :/

26/09/2026: We had to wait a long time for the waiter to take our order at our table. The service was excellent, especially considering that all the tables were served by a single waiter. The food was good, but it could have been better. The prices are very high, so much so that we paid almost four euros for a small bottle of water.

19/09/2026: Had a delicious meal and friendly service. Nice atmosphere on the terrace. The waiter speaks good English. Highly recommended!

25/05/2026: A beautiful, bucolic spot spoiled by overcrowding, especially considering the limited outdoor space. It felt cramped, making it difficult to find a quiet corner. To make matters worse, we had to contend with a wedding and about fifty guests, adding to the already crowded atmosphere. Dinner was decent, but the pre-packaged breakfast was rather meager considering its high price. Potential, but poorly utilized. A shame!

24/05/2026: We were more than disappointed! We booked a night at this 4-star Manor House through the Staycation app, which seemed perfect for €153 per night: - Room with balcony - Swimming pool - Access to the tennis court + 20 minutes in the sauna - Complimentary glass of Prosecco. We had to change our reservation date (which was confirmed by the Manor House, the app, by phone, and by email). When we arrived at reception, we were shocked to discover that the reservation "hadn't been entered into the system." The hostess told us we didn't have a room. She eventually found one, but we realized we had been downgraded to a standard room without a balcony. The hostess explained that we would be refunded €20 for this misunderstanding. This is something that can sometimes happen, but I want to remind everyone that this is a 4-star hotel with a certain standard to uphold. Upon arriving in our room, it was a disaster: - Rotten woodwork - Dirty and worn toilet bowls - Damp patches on the walls - Poorly applied paint job - Peeling wallpaper - Rusty sink drain - Dust on the light fixtures… We decided to enjoy the pool, still disappointed by our first hour there. Upon arriving at the pool, we found it to be well-maintained, despite its small size for a place with 85 rooms, not to mention the meager 10 sun loungers (unworthy of a 4-star hotel) which were clearly insufficient for the number of guests. Most people were leaving their towels and belongings on the ground. We decided to leave without even having eaten or slept there. We submitted a refund request to the app and are still waiting for a response. We're also waiting for the supposed €20 refund 🤷‍♀️ To be perfectly honest, I find it pathetic to charge such a high price (even with a Staycation discount) for an experience like this. This manor house may boast about having 4 stars, but it absolutely doesn't deserve them. Having stayed in numerous hotels throughout France, we've seen 2-star hotels that were far better than this one. I've never in my life had problems like this with a booking, let alone been downgraded or given such a dilapidated room. I have no complaints about the quality of the service, which was adequate despite all these issues. If I had to give you advice: find a nearby manor house or hotel that will be the same price or cheaper, but will undoubtedly be much better than this place.
