05/09/2024: These are the first time I stop and I don't regret it. I took the panuzo du champaur. These are a homemade bread sandwich with cold meats and local cheese. I really enjoyed the gentleman who served me and was very friendly.
12/08/2024: So glad we missed a turn and ended up here for lunch. Absolutely the best sandwiches we've had in a long time. Everything is delicious and a friendly and welcome pit stop on a hot day.

02/12/2024: Large bar, we stopped after a walk to drink a hot chocolate. Dynamic and friendly service. They have several seats both inside and outside. Located right in front of the slopes. The only negative note was that the chocolate was watered down and not enough.

08/08/2024: Why go elsewhere for lunch? since for a very reasonable price, Basta offers two types of hearty salads, a daily special, and a menu of red or white meats cooked and seasoned to perfection, always accompanied by garnishes with a "home" flavor. The first choice meats come from the butcher.
For me, their fries are simply the best in Gap. The salad is always impeccable with its little onions which add flavor, and depending on the day you will find gratin, fish lasagna, larks, etc. etc.
The service is welcoming and you feel good, a bit like home, it's so natural and friendly.
The chef loves his job, in short, everything here is simple but hey..👍💯

08/12/2024: Restaurant not traders we asked for white ham to eat with our raclette by the slice and in addition at 2€50 how can I tell you 😰 in short no charm the raclette machine too industrial and the children's menus and quite simply a joke at 13€ in summary Avoid restaurants for tourists as they say.

28/08/2024: An exceptional discovery! An enchantment! A sublime room, a meal that delighted our taste buds. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were also there.
And then don't forget Martine, a person with great charisma and kindness so that our stay goes very well.
The breakfast was delicious and with the service and the smile of the person who takes care of it. We will come back without hesitation and enjoy the SPA and I am sure of good care

02/10/2024: Une halte inattendue à Gap. Un restaurant atypique, tenu par une dame charmante. On vous sert une cuisine maison délicieuse. J'ai craqué pour la tarte aux pommes de terre avec truffes...Un pur délice. En dessert, j'ai mangé le meilleur flan à la vanille et coco de toute ma vie ....qui est pourtant riche en restaurants. Bravo pour votre originalité et votre cuisine.

99% de salade
3 rondelles de mozza
1/8 d'une tranche de jambons cru : on va dire des copeaux de jambon.
Elle était très bonne mais franchement on se moque du client à 14 euros la salade.
Une fois à la caisse la patronne me dit que j'aurai pu avoir plus de salade !
Je ne suis pas herbivore à ce point !!

16/04/2025: Very good meal, the dishes are generous, the flavors are there, I ate a very tasty beef picanha, cooked well and hot plate ideal for finishing a dish that is still hot! In addition, it's interesting to work with this kind of pieces rather than the eternal sirloin or steak which are pieces with less interest that many restaurants do!
Very pleasant service and warm atmosphere.

22/06/2025: Good hotel in a strategic location for us in the French Alps.
With 58 Dutch biker friends we were very hospitably received here with good rooms, good breakfast and very friendly staff.
Also the shower was for me one of the best I have ever had anywhere.
We will gladly come back here again.

There are a number of amazing Thai restaurants in Ile de France, and I have to come to Orcieres to eat the best Pad Thai. I ate there all week, and everything was good. The welcome is very good, we can see that they are happy to welcome us (unlike many others 👀)

23/07/2024: And summer too! We knew winter but not yet summer. Apart from the snow, the big difference is the calm!
To get up there, it's worth it but access via the Casse du Boeuf chairlift is possible and it becomes easier. Then in less than 15 minutes of descent we arrive at Echaillon. Great welcome, games for children, pétanque, darts... You can spend the afternoon there!
For the meal, the salads are superb but we decided to go with 2 magnificent beef ribs. Bravo for the sauces which accompany wonderfully.
We will come back!
18/07/2024: Everything was perfect during our visit on July 17, 2024. The splendid view, the spaced terrace tables, the wine list, the barbecue grills - we hadn't eaten such a good duck breast for a while - the games that kept our children busy (bouncy castle, swing, trampoline), ultra-attentive service. The prices were really reasonable for a mountain restaurant. Thank you again for taking pity on us and bringing my tired mother back to the Casse du Boeuf. Children will remember this jeep ride for a long time. We will definitely come back in winter and hope that the prime rib will still be on the menu.
