30/05/2026: Hello, the welcome here is warm, the dishes are excellent, varied, and incredibly fresh. The quality is impeccable; once you've tasted it, you won't be able to do without it. A short detour to Rue Jean Aymar, which I call the street of world flavors, is a must. The highlights include Saveurs D'Asie, Échangeons le Monde, Jasmin Pâtisserie, the Portuguese grocery store, the Armenian grocery store, and many more to discover.

04/08/2026: A decent burger for €20, but the Caesar salad… six pieces of chicken, admittedly well-cooked, but with croutons bought by the kilo, a few lettuce leaves, and some cheese slices. That's it. €19. They're ripping off their customers with this salad. €19!!!!

26/08/2026: While passing through the area, we had the pleasure of discovering this restaurant this evening, and what a delightful surprise! Everything was excellent, from the Savoyard fondue with porcini mushrooms—a real discovery for us—to the delicious chocolate mousse. The service was also impeccable, welcoming, and attentive. A truly wonderful experience that we recommend without hesitation!

21/08/2026: We dined there twice during our week-long holiday. We received a very warm welcome, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Special mention goes to the "donkey ears" (a type of pastry), the homemade lasagna, and the chef's lemon tart. You can taste the love in the cooking! And the prices are reasonable. We highly recommend this restaurant and will gladly return.

19/02/2026: Hello, I knew the area but not this hotel. We had a group snowshoeing trip and received a very warm welcome. The meals were excellent, the rooms had beautiful views and were very clean. 14/07/2026: Hello, I stopped by for lunch today, it was my first time, and frankly, you're number one in Gap! I've never enjoyed a meal so much, it was simply delicious. The homemade fries and bread are excellent, the raclette burger and the other burger with goat cheese and honey are succulent. I'll be back often, thank you!

We were at L’Alcôve a few days ago. I wasn't particularly satisfied, nor was I extremely dissatisfied; it was more satisfactory. First, the positives: The staff are very motivated and strike me as professional and determined. They were very courteous and friendly at reception, which flattered us. We had made a reservation, so I can't comment on walk-ins, but we were allowed to choose our own table, meaning it was incredibly quiet. My subjective opinion regarding the ambiance is more "meh" than "wow." Of course, it's important to remember that the space is quite small, making it difficult to find large tables and plenty of legroom. There's an outdoor terrace and a few tables inside. The tables are rather narrow, which makes them unsuitable for larger orders, as you have to spread soy sauce and glasses onto the neighboring table. Unfortunately, we were seated in a puddle that had seeped from the air conditioning unit (inside) all the way to the terrace. The floor in the men's restroom is a bit crumbly, but the rest of the bathroom is functional. Now for the food. We ordered a little bit of everything and paid around €56 for our entire visit (excluding drinks, as water was sufficient that evening), which is relatively expensive compared to other restaurants. We had to wait a while, but the fried sushi was still very warm and everything tasted fresh. The scampi rolls were the best of all. Overall, though, the sushi didn't impress us, as the flavors weren't particularly outstanding. The wasabi (as is unfortunately the case in many restaurants) was just a mixture, very crumbly, and made from a powder substitute. It doesn't taste like wasabi, nor is it spicy, and they should really offer a better option to ensure satisfaction. We might have to come back to try more of the menu, but as it stands, it's neither bad nor good – a bit pricey for what you ultimately get. This is, of course, based on my subjective experience, and I'd like to commend the friendly staff once again for their hospitality. 😌

02/03/2026: Another great time spent at Hotel Les Peupliers, excellent food! Pleasant staff. The only downside was the spa; some people in front of us weren't really following the hygiene guidelines. Coming out of the hammam, all sweaty, they went straight into the jacuzzi. What's more, one of them didn't use a towel for the sauna... but it's difficult to enforce the rules despite the written instructions. Otherwise, everything else was very good.

02/08/2026: I don't usually leave a bad review. But we were treated rudely by the waitress. Our children walked onto the terrace a little too enthusiastically towards a table they liked. The waitress irritably asked our kids (still young) if they had a reservation. When I came over and said that they hadn't, she looked very irritated, and it felt as if we were being deliberately directed to a completely different table at the end of the terrace. We left, and the waitress seemed perfectly fine with that. In any case, we didn't feel welcome at all.

20/08/2026: We booked and received a confirmation via text message. When we arrived on time, the owner informed us that he'd made a mistake with our reservation and kicked us out of the restaurant without any compensation, telling us that we'd easily find a restaurant (on a Monday evening). Unfortunately, that wasn't the case... We'd never been treated like this in such a highly rated restaurant in our life... The owner's response didn't reflect reality. For us, the problem wasn't that they'd made a mistake, which can happen to anyone, but how we were treated. We had to ask for compensation ourselves, but they sent us somewhere else, telling us that if a table became available at 9, we could eat there... With no guarantee whatsoever. I don't usually write anything but positive reviews, and we come to Briançon every year. We've never been treated like this in other restaurants.

08/07/2026: I came to dinner here with a friend last night because the restaurant has been taken over by a new owner. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food; the lamb shank with caramelized garlic sauce was delicious. The waitress was very kind and smiling. A very good evening, we'll be back!
