The view is breathtaking. I tasted an incredible dish, with flavors I had never experienced before—a true culinary discovery. We absolutely loved this hotel, where we were also fortunate enough to stay in winter 🌟. The atmosphere is always so welcoming, with a charm that works in every season. The rooms are simply magnificent, tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. The staff is always so attentive and caring, making the stay even more enjoyable. An address we wholeheartedly recommend, summer ☀️ as well as winter ❄️

14/04/2026: I was very disappointed with my experience. I chose the daily special (swordfish with coconut rice pudding), but the flavors were far too strong for me, making it difficult to enjoy. The steak I ordered rare was served medium-rare. As for the dessert (chocolate fondant with pear ice cream), I found it too sweet and of poor quality. The service was provided by a young, generally competent team.

11/04/2026: The atmosphere is really cozy and pleasant. However, there was a slight disappointment with the food. My dish didn't match what was described on the menu: a spelt risotto with leeks, but without the leeks, and with endives and broccoli—clearly not for everyone. This lack of consistency was quite frustrating and somewhat spoiled my meal. On the other hand, my partner was delighted, with special mention for the cooking and quality of the meat and the mega profiterole 🤤

21/03/2026: Based on the reviews, I decided to embark on a culinary journey. I'm a big fan of Indian food. I was surprised by the very sweet taste of the chicken tikka masala and the flavor of the vegetable rice. The welcome and service were excellent, but it wasn't to my taste, except for the cheese naan, which was delicious.

29/03/2026: A wonderful stay at Gîte l’Arpelin! A warm welcome; we immediately felt at ease after a day in the mountains. The rooms are clean and comfortable, perfect for a good night's rest. Special mention for the meals and breakfast: hearty, delicious, and well-suited to the demands of mountain activities. An ideal base camp for a snowshoeing or ski touring trip in the Cervières area.

29/03/2026: Absolutely amazing hotel and amazing staff!! I cannot fault a single thing with our stay, The rooms were very clean and well presented with all amenities needed, lovely breakfast every morning and afternoon tea, great cocktails made by super nice staff, the Sauna and pool area was very relaxing and were well looked after, lovely fire pit outside to warm up after a long day on the slopes, probably the best run hotel I can remember staying in, we were made to feel really welcome, we loved our stay and cannot wait to return, I want to thank all the staff who made our trip so memorable, absolutely perfect 10 out of 10 Thank you to all the team for a lovely memorable holiday, See you next time ❤️

19/02/2026: Hello, I knew the area but not this hotel. We had a group snowshoeing trip and received a very warm welcome. The meals were excellent, the rooms had beautiful views and were very clean. The food was high quality and plentiful, and to top it all off, the staff were pleasant and the owners always had a smile on their faces. We'll be back! Charly, Nature et Provence group

15/12/2025: December 14, 2025. I still missed the waiter who constantly teases you because you only had €10 in cash. I've never seen anything like that in any of the refuges I've been to. Not noticing the signs at the start of the trail that said "no credit/debit cards accepted," we asked if we could order something to split for that amount. (Which, incidentally, was available: polenta with butter and parmesan cheese.) From there, the first jokes (ignored) began, with a refrain of "I'll take care of it, we'll see, we can work something out." He sat us down and shortly after, without saying anything, brought some plates. From there, a constant sneering and banter that made us feel less uncomfortable than more, almost like we were begging. "What's life like for the poor?" "Who washes the dishes between the two of us?" All this in front of the other tables. In the end, it turned out we could pay with Satispay (even though we'd already asked for it before, but they refused because they said there was no signal. In fact, the Wi-Fi worked right away). The best part was that we could have easily ordered an appetizer, main course, dessert, and coffee, thus spending triple the amount, but instead they chose to constantly mock two customers who wanted to come back another time and spend much more, just to thank what seemed like a genuine kindness. Unfortunately, it was kindness disguised as rudeness, because, aside from the constant teasing, if you tell you we only have €10, let us sit down, and then bring us a €16 dish, then you're really acting in bad faith. I didn't want to raise my voice at that point because I was already too embarrassed to say, "Here's the agreed-upon €10, let him add the €6." So, thank goodness, Satispay was available. And since I'm not dishonest, I paid what was due. Evidently you hadn't spoken. So, another tease. Anyway, all it took for me to hear the waitress say "Enough, Dad," after more constant banter before payment, was for me to realize there was already some discomfort here. You tried to get too familiar, you teased me the whole time, you gave a clear lesson in how to treat customers in front of relatives, and now you've caused the (albeit beautiful) refuge where you work to get a negative review. My sincere compliments.
