07/04/2026: A bit disappointed with the experience because selling New Zealand lamb when there are farmers all around isn't cool! As a result, the lamb shank wasn't great, overcooked, and the mashed potatoes were more like purée… a bit mediocre.
Otherwise, the welcome was very warm and friendly, but they should really focus more on homemade/local/short supply chain products. A shame…

Tourtons, ravioli, and wine. Perfect. And the cherry on top: a freshly baked New York cookie—a real treat! Attentive and pleasant waitress.

25/02/2026: We had a wonderful stay at the Costebelle hostel. Fanny and Nico are very welcoming, and the place is so warm and full of good vibes. The food is delicious and full of flavor. A magical place in the heart of the mountains! Thank you for all your thoughtful touches and the passion you put into it 🙏🏻

31/05/2026: A very friendly restaurant. We arrived just before closing time and it wasn't a problem at all. The owner greeted us with a smile and prepared our three burgers to go. Fast service, quality burgers, and reasonable prices. The staff is pleasant and professional.
I recommend this establishment without hesitation! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The food is very good!
02/03/2026: Another great time spent at Hotel Les Peupliers, excellent food! Pleasant staff.
The only downside was the spa; some people in front of us weren't really following the hygiene guidelines. Coming out of the hammam, all sweaty, they went straight into the jacuzzi. What's more, one of them didn't use a towel for the sauna... but it's difficult to enforce the rules despite the written instructions.
Otherwise, everything else was very good.

17/10/2025: A nice, rustic cabin in a beautiful location. The rooms are a bit dated. They could use some improvements here and there.
The outdoor dining area, right by the street, is noisy.
The food is good.
The staff is friendly.
Breakfast is adequate.
24/09/2025: For us it is always a pleasure to stop at the Napoleon refuge, I can no longer count the number of times we had a drink there while soaking up the scenery with the small lake and the Col de Vars.🏔️⛰️ In summer in 🏍️ or in winter snowshoeing at the Vars resort nearby.
