" Le Fournil "

24/09/2024: Le Fournil in het kleine plaatsje Ribiers is een pareltje waar je - als je het niet kent - zomaar aan voorbij zou rijden. Al zoveel jaren kwam ik hier met mijn gezin altijd als we op vakantie waren in de Provence. De gastvrijheid van Michele, Julie en Jean-Michel is ongeëvenaard. Zelfs als er een gerecht niet op de kaart stond maakten ze het toch voor mijn zoon en noemden het dan ook meteen gekscherend Menu Sanders. Welk restaurant doet zoiets liefs? Er zijn teveel mooie en culinair hoogstaande ervaringen om op te noemen, maar één ding is zeker, bij deze lieve mensen krijg je authentiek gerechten, die voor een groot deel bereid worden in de houtgestookte oven. En dat proef je! Ik durf eerlijk te zeggen dat ik alle gerechten op de kaart meerdere malen gegeten heb en nog krijg ik er geen genoeg van.
Ben je hier eenmaal geweest, dan wil je zo snel mogelijk weer terug. Afgelopen augustus mocht ik hier weer dineren met een vriend en de hartelijkheid waarmee we ontvangen werden is er een om nooit te vergeten. Natuurlijk werden we, zoals altijd eigenlijk, als laatsten het restaurant uitgeveegd, maar niet na eerst nog een dikke knuffel van deze hardwerkende, gepassioneerde lieverds.

06/09/2024: Really quality cuisine, with real research into the sauces. A super accessible chef (Claire) who loves her job, you can see (and feel) it on the plates!
Flawless, from aperitif to dessert.
Really homemade, which is increasingly rare, and high quality local products.
We tasted the gratin of ravioli with Queyras blue cheese, a treat and very hearty, the absolutely divine homemade Burger (with its candied onions, homemade bun, excellent meat cooked to perfection, with Queyras blue cheese), the duck breast with sauce with red fruits, and tiramisu. The plates are very generous.
Very good wines (and good food and wine pairing advice from our waitress), and the icing on the cake: an excellent génep.
A great discovery, the Guillestrin will undoubtedly see us again!

27/01/2025: The welcome leaves something to be desired, not to mention the quality of the dishes which has deteriorated when we have known this place for years. It's a real shame for the quality and setting of the place.
25/01/2025: A very nice discovery after a walk among the snow-covered trees. The meal is delicious and the toboggan ride incredible.

30/08/2024: Very warm welcome, fresh and quality dishes, special mention for the “pork with caramel”, a delight, the best I have eaten so far. The lady was alone for the service and despite all the people it went well.
28/08/2024: We have been coming to Guillestre for years and finally we are taking the time to dine here! Very good value for money, good service, friendly welcome! The dishes are very good and there are even something for vegetarians!

16/04/2025: Very good meal, the dishes are generous, the flavors are there, I ate a very tasty beef picanha, cooked well and hot plate ideal for finishing a dish that is still hot! In addition, it's interesting to work with this kind of pieces rather than the eternal sirloin or steak which are pieces with less interest that many restaurants do!
Very pleasant service and warm atmosphere.

22/06/2025: Good hotel in a strategic location for us in the French Alps.
With 58 Dutch biker friends we were very hospitably received here with good rooms, good breakfast and very friendly staff.
Also the shower was for me one of the best I have ever had anywhere.
We will gladly come back here again.

08/12/2024: Restaurant not traders we asked for white ham to eat with our raclette by the slice and in addition at 2€50 how can I tell you 😰 in short no charm the raclette machine too industrial and the children's menus and quite simply a joke at 13€ in summary Avoid restaurants for tourists as they say.

14/09/2024: Good restaurant in the heart of Ceillac. Specialty of "matefaim", a kind of very thick Savoyard crepe, a bit like a pancake. Presented as a dessert, you can also find it as a replacement for burger bread, which is quite original! The restaurant also offers pizzas cooked over a wood fire. We ate there twice and had a great time while enjoying a very warm chalet setting. The staff is friendly, and I must say extremely efficient. Despite a very extensive menu, they manage to manage a Saturday evening service of 40+ seats for 3 (1 cook, 1 waitress and the boss who does service and pizzas), with fast service and dishes that arrive hot and well presented. We feel that there is experience, but we must recognize that it is admirable!

Sabine and Yves are valiant people, upright and grateful for the work done by their employees.
Jean-Philippe the chef and also a good person who taught me a lot for my first real experience in the kitchen.
I don't regret packing my bags and crossing part of France for this establishment.
Long live them, and we’ll see you again this winter with joy.😘

21/08/2024: Very nice restaurant, with typical mountain decor. Fantastic food!! We had the "chef's" fois gras to share (accompanied by spiced bread and onion jam, a dream!), followed by the duck breast (delicious!), tartare (better than many others) and the vegetable burger (much appreciated from our daughter), all with chips and salad. Delicious desserts (the apricot pastry freshly made by them, melted in your mouth).
Waiting times a little long, but absolutely understandable with a full restaurant!
Excellent value for money.
Highly recommended!!!!

08/09/2024: Not very expensive food but the quantities are very small and really not very good... So the price becomes expensive for what it is. Even the kids were still hungry when they grabbed an adult burger.
