14/02/2026: A disappointing Valentine's Day meal for €129. The service was very slow, understandable given the number of covers, but what was more than unacceptable was the behavior of a waitress who acted like she owned the place. She started taking our payment, told her colleagues to "go to hell" in front of us over two coffees, and then left us standing there. One of her colleagues, clearly embarrassed, took over, and I want to thank her as well as another waitress (blonde), both of whom were incredibly kind (it must be difficult to work with this person). First and last experience at this restaurant, proving that one person can ruin a visit. Sincerely, Valentin

17/02/2026: Not many people today. The waitress was alone, so there was a long wait. The dishes have become expensive. Disappointed, especially since we used to like this restaurant.

26/01/2026: Extremely disappointing experience and a complete lack of professionalism. My husband had booked and planned a surprise Christmas night at the Hôtel Chicamour in Sury-au-Bois, in direct agreement with the manager. Everything had been organized in advance. Upon our arrival, the hotel was completely closed, with no one to greet us, and we had children and luggage. The manager was unreachable and didn't even bother to call back. Several days later, my husband had to follow up. The manager then provided incoherent and clearly false explanations, mentioning an employee who was supposed to be there, then his dismissal, promising to get back to us… which he never did. A month later, still no news. When we called again from another number, the story changed once more. No honesty, no taking of responsibility, no gesture of goodwill. This establishment hosts weddings and events: based on our experience, reliability is clearly lacking. A huge disappointment, especially for a family moment that was supposed to be exceptional.

22/01/2026: Absolutely unreliable. I wanted to surprise my wife and two children for Christmas, and I was sorely mistaken! After several attempts to contact the owner in early December, I booked a dinner, overnight stay, and breakfast for December 26th. Everything seemed fine. On the day, we entered the courtyard, and I happily announced to my family that we were going to spend the night at the castle. A few meters later, the surprise turned sour as we found the establishment... closed! I tried calling the owner several times at the time, but he never answered. We had to leave. On January 5th, I called the owner again, who feigned surprise and mentioned staffing problems. I told him to look into the situation and call me back. No response. On January 9th, I called him again, and he told me he had to meet with his "offending" employee that afternoon to fire him and that he would call me back that evening. No response... He then stopped answering my calls. I tried again on January 22nd, but to no avail. However, my wife was able to reach him without any problem using her number that same day. He then launched into incoherent explanations that didn't hold water. This gentleman seems very friendly on the phone, but don't be fooled: affable, but unreliable! In short, if you don't want your wedding or event to be a disaster: run away!!!

25/02/2026: I ordered a kids' meal, and the waitress gave me a dirty look because I'm 42. I really wanted that Happy Meal.

25/02/2026: Another bad experience here. I arrived at a very dirty table! I asked the manager to come and clean it, and he told me he didn't have anyone available or I could do it myself... He was about ready to punch him to set him straight. Furthermore, we ordered Coke Zeros and received Cherry Cokes. Shameful service.

10/03/2026: Great bar, menu available and welcoming staff. I didn't try the snacks, but the smell was tempting.

26/12/2025: After two cancellations without apologies or discounts, we finally managed to eat at the restaurant. The dining room was poorly heated, and we were cold all evening. The meal was good, but nothing special for a Michelin-starred establishment. Other restaurants in the Gien area are worth recommending; they are less expensive, better, and offer more elaborate menus.

31/10/2025: A very warm welcome. Terrace overlooking the canal. Very relaxing. Very clean. Restaurant, room. The mussels and fries, poached pear, and tiramisu were very good. All-you-can-eat breakfast. We recommend this establishment.

19/03/2026: We came last night. The staff were laughing in front of everyone while there was a wait. All four of our set menus arrived ice cold. The raclette burgers weren't cooked at all. The cheese wasn't melted. My husband was sick all night. This is unacceptable. There should be more oversight, especially in this restaurant. We won't be back.

29/11/2025: Avoid at all costs! Disgusting, no exaggeration. Very few choices to boot. I had seen negative reviews but I tried it anyway and I can confirm, definitely avoid it.

02/11/2025: The restaurant was empty. Consequently, the buffet was also empty. There were some fries left that didn't even seem to know what they were doing there (they must have been left over from lunchtime). Very disappointed. I won't be going back.
