30/07/2024: We had to wait 15 minutes at the checkout to place our order. The boss was overloading the poor, slightly lost cashier who was trying to take our orders with requests. The lack of cohesion greatly disrupted efficiency in the kitchen. The owner was also unpleasant when honest people came to ask to cancel their order because it was so late. That said, the portions are generous and well priced. Aside from the slightly light amount of sauce in my kebab, we all had a great time on the restaurant terrace.

17/09/2024: Great little hotel close to Mt. Saint Michel. We stayed for one night and walked to the Mont in the morning. Staff was very friendly and recommended us a route and when we had to leave to see the tide roll in. We opted for the 9€ breakfast and it was definitely worth that price. Great croissants and fresh bread. There is a public footpath across a sheep pasture which will take you right up the bridge. We needed about an hour to walk from the hotel to Mt St Michel. There are some stunning views along the way so I would recommend taking this route. Overall, this is the perfect location to stay if you want to visit Mont Saint Michel.

11/09/2024: Very close to the famous photo spot and in the morning you can see how the shepherd dog drives the sheep into the field.

01/09/2024: Always great food at a very reasonable price. We visit here as a couple and with extended family every time we are in France 4/5 times a year. Menu changes frequently, we have never left disappointed. Staff are very attentive and restaurant welcoming with a lovely fire in the winter months. Would recommend a visit, you will return.

31/08/2024: My wife and I have visited L'Abbaye several times during our vacation. To say we were made welcome (despite not having made a reservation) would be an understatement. From the standard of the food and presentation to the friendly professional helpful staff, it all helped to make our stay more memorable. A little personal recommendation. I never drink Guinness outside of Ireland, especially in France. On our first visit, the owner, Peter, said he had the best Guinness in France. Always up for a challenge, I said would test his claim. So I watched him pull the pint, from the initial pour, to letting it sit before the second pour, to the creamy head, to the temperature, and above all else, the taste. I can't honestly say that he lived up to his claim to having the best pint in France. For your friendship and welcome Thank you. Ger & Connie

09/08/2024: On the Sunday evening of Ducey's party, another restaurant refused us because it was 9:30 p.m. when they had room. And it was a party so we thought we could eat at this time. The Clapton received us very well. They were in a good mood, they joked with us and we ate well. I recommend.

26/09/2024: Such a wonderful experience and exceptional service along with freshly prepared quality produce at this restaurant. Wine was recommended to us which was a wonderful glass of rose Provencal. I had the set menu of the day (there was a choice of two) one fish (salmon) one meat (duck). Amazing starter and dessert. My husband ordered sea bass for his main. Both delicious. Waiters spoke good English so we're able to assist us in translating the menu. Prices were so reasonable.

18/08/2024: Pas convaincue de la partie restauration. En tout cas les moules n’étaient pas super. Le service pareil, il peut y avoir du progrès. Servir une glace sans cuillère et s’en aller sans un regard, éviter de débarrasser la table… donc uniquement pour un verre plus où la terrasse est sympa.

11/06/2024: We set outside. Food and service were both excellent. But remember to tell the wait staff to add tips if you are paying with credit cards. Otherwise, they do not get tips. Tips cannot be added once you card is scanned. We gave her cash after we found that out.
