13/06/2026: Friendly service, centrally located. My wife's salmon was delicious. I had fish and chips, but the fish was awful—watery, mushy, and tasteless. The price was okay.

29/05/2026: Was hoping to go there for dinner but the man turned us down because we didn’t have a reservation all for other people to come in as they please and not to mention all the seating inside was free too. We believe that it may be because we were tourists as we can’t think of any other explanation. Very disappointing experience and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone hoping for a meal.

14/05/2026: A very good experience at this restaurant in Portbail. The cuisine is creative and flavorful. The fish of the day was accompanied by a spicy sauce and creative dishes featuring seasonal vegetables. A real treat! The service is attentive and efficient.

11/05/2026: Friendly staff. American: We're still looking for the advertised half baguette (kebab bread). Error with the order. Fries were fresh, but it's a shame they had to be reheated several times... I don't recommend this "fast" restaurant (45 minutes).

06/05/2026: "This restaurant is truly top-notch! Simply put, we've never been disappointed. The welcome is always warm and the service is exceptionally fast. The menu is incredibly comprehensive: kebabs, burgers, paninis, pizzas... there really is something for everyone, and we enjoy every single visit! Recently, we organized a bachelor party there. We booked a table for 12 people: the service was impeccable, and despite our large group, everyone was served promptly. The whole team had a wonderful time! A huge thank you to the entire team for their professionalism and good humor. We highly recommend it!"

21/05/2026: Quite busy at lunchtime, but very quiet in the evening. Very happy with the McDonald's in Equerdreville; it's calm, bright, and very clean. The service is fairly quick, and the food arrives hot, unlike other chains where it's cold. Sometimes it gets a bit too crowded with noisy teenagers on Wednesday lunchtimes.

15/06/2026: We arrived after booking at the last minute. We were disappointed by the quality of service and the wait time. We had to ask for bread and water ourselves. The wait was long, both for drinks and food. The young waitress was very kind and smiling, despite a mistake in taking our order. However, her colleagues were less friendly and welcoming. Regarding the drinks, we were very disappointed with the virgin mojito, which tasted strongly of alcohol (three of us tried it). I asked if there was a rum-flavored syrup, but apparently not. Fortunately, I was able to replace it with another cocktail, which was very good. It's a shame that the virgin mojito was actually a ready-made cocktail served from a box of wine. The food was very good, and the atmosphere was warm and pleasant. Overall, the meal was decent.

07/06/2026: After our arrival, our order was taken 15 minutes later, and we finally got our starters 45 minutes later. The portion size was like something from a Happy Meal box, and the menu photos were misleading; they didn't match the dishes presented at all. The meat was cooked so poorly that when you ask for rare, you get medium-rare, or even well-done. Truck stop restaurants are much better quality. As for the price, it's not worth €26.90; €15 would be more accurate. In short, avoid this place. For just €1 more, go eat at the Asian buffet. We had been going to these famous country restaurants for 20 years. And what a disappointment! The more time passes, the more disappointed we become. We hadn't been going very often for a while, but now we've learned our lesson.

08/03/2026: How can anyone understand having to wait 1 hour and 20 minutes for their order? Why allow more customers in when the wait is already so long? The owner's response: I'm just trying to increase the number of customers to compensate for the slower days, at the expense of service... No comment.

28/05/2026: The waitresses are always very friendly and welcoming; I'm never disappointed by the daily specials. La Civette is a must-visit in Valognes; I highly recommend it and will gladly return.

01/12/2025: The welcome was awful. The owner came to take our order while complaining about his health problems. We ordered two drinks and two pizzas. The pizzas arrived after a half-hour wait, even though the restaurant was almost empty. And still no drinks! After insisting, they finally arrived. The pizzas were poor quality. The owner, drinking from behind the counter, came to clear the plates in a state of advanced drunkenness. He made misogynistic and offensive remarks because my wife hadn't finished her meal. Several customers, who arrived before and after us, left the restaurant without ordering anything.

20/10/2025: Just eaten the steak, and Gambas and have been totally satisfied. I eat big portions and these definatly filled the stomach. The staff are very proffesional and friendly and take there time with the customsrs to ensure satisfaction. Will be returning again.

25/04/2026: Despite a ticket issue, the team was incredibly responsive and found a solution for my McFlurry, which I had to postpone, and they did it all with a smile! That's fantastic! Plus, the service was very quick, less than 2 minutes I think. Best of luck to the whole team!
