22/02/2026: A reservation made with the guarantee of a seafood sauerkraut seemed promising... what a disappointment! The dish was revolting: overcooked fish accompanied by a meager frozen seafood cocktail straight from a bag! As for the cabbage... a bag of shredded white cabbage soaked in boiling water... all drowned in a white wine broth. This is what you can offer at the Brasserie Le Rétro in Saint Martin de Brehal. It's definitely not worth the trip.

09/12/2025: The food was acceptable, but the atmosphere was really gloomy, which probably didn't reflect reality. We probably just didn't come on a good day.

21/02/2026: Avoid. The galettes were meager and mine was served cold. Only two tables were occupied when we arrived, while the surrounding restaurants were full…we should have thought twice before going in. The waiter and the cook were arguing. It was bad timing when there were only two customers in the dining room. It was 8:30 pm. Next time we'll go elsewhere. It's a shame because this crêperie is very well located.

17/02/2026: Very disappointed. I ordered a Mont Saint-Michel galette, and for €16.50 I got three and a half scallops, leeks, and it was extremely salty and poorly presented. The forest omelets were tasteless. The cook came to serve us the wine wearing a filthy apron. Apart from the young waitress who was on her first day, there were very few smiles. I do not recommend this restaurant.

15/12/2025: What a pleasant surprise at Restaurant du Bon Vieux Temps! We were looking for a nice restaurant and didn't know anything about the area. We went in without really knowing what to expect, and honestly, we had a fantastic time. The food was incredibly high quality at a more than reasonable price, the welcome was wonderfully warm, and the ingredients were local, seasonal, high-quality, and homemade. The menu is limited to a few dishes, which is a real plus because each one is carefully prepared and generous! You can taste the passion in the cooking! I recommend it 100%!

The food is excellent and the prices are reasonable. After several visits, the quality of service remains consistently high. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the cuisine is traditional, using quality ingredients.

We ordered a Lupio and an Oriental pizza, but when we got home we ended up with a Lupio and a kebab. Oh well, mistakes happen. However, the quality was really disappointing: the crust was undercooked, too thin underneath and rubbery on top, and the tomato sauce—if you can even call it that—was as bland as the rest of the toppings. I strongly advise against it.
