14/04/2026: The restaurant is fairly quiet except on Saturday lunchtimes, as it's located on a busy road. The welcome was good nonetheless, though the kitchen area is a bit like McDonald's.

15/12/2025: What a pleasant surprise at Restaurant du Bon Vieux Temps! We were looking for a nice restaurant and didn't know anything about the area. We went in without really knowing what to expect, and honestly, we had a fantastic time. The food was incredibly high quality at a more than reasonable price, the welcome was wonderfully warm, and the ingredients were local, seasonal, high-quality, and homemade. The menu is limited to a few dishes, which is a real plus because each one is carefully prepared and generous! You can taste the passion in the cooking! I recommend it 100%!

21/02/2026: Avoid. The galettes were meager and mine was served cold. Only two tables were occupied when we arrived, while the surrounding restaurants were full…we should have thought twice before going in. The waiter and the cook were arguing. It was bad timing when there were only two customers in the dining room. It was 8:30 pm. Next time we'll go elsewhere. It's a shame because this crêperie is very well located.

On second thought, I think I ordered pork, but I received overcooked beef. The price is high considering what you get on your plate. At least we tried...

07/04/2026: It was a must-see in town because of the history of the place, especially if you've seen the series "Band of Brothers." The service was excellent; we were attended to immediately. The atmosphere was interesting; several people were watching a horse race with great enthusiasm. It's a shame that there's hardly any information about the history of the place in the shop. I think they should promote it more; all I saw were lottery tickets and various flags from different countries, seemingly out of place. I hope they change that.

16/03/2026: This is a very important stop on your Band of Brothers tour of Europe. In June of 1944, when the 506th PIR assaulted the town of Carentan, Easy Company approached the town from the south. As they neared this cafe, they came under fire from German MGs nearby. Across the street is a pharmacy. It was a pharmacy back in 1944 too. Some of the Easy Company men took shelter behind it. If you’re walking the footsteps of the Band of Brothers, make sure your route takes you by this cafe. If you’re hungry or thirsty, you might consider stopping inside for some refreshment.
