23/06/2026: It was hard to find restaurant that opened on Sunday, especially the kind that I’m looking for, and I’m glad we come across this GEM in the search! The food served was super awesome, from starter tarte fine aux oignons confits et anchois, main plate filet de canette français rôti rosé, salmon was cook perfectly, to dessert poêlée de cerises fraîches déglacé à l’amaretto, blend of hot and cold, love it ! definitely would love to come back again !

We opted for the pot pie and macrobiotic bowl along with the panna cotta dessert and nothing disappointed. Please check this place out if you want delicious organic plant-based food.

05/07/2026: The first time we came was one evening on a whim during a business trip to Lyon a little over a year ago, and we fell in love with the place, the food, and the staff—they were fantastic. The restaurant was packed, though, and we booked a table at the last minute that had just become available... but the quality was top-notch. We had the €42 set menu, and it was delicious! And what about that quenelle with crayfish sauce and the praline tart? Absolutely divine! For our next business trip at the end of June, we left the Var region early so we could be in Lyon for lunch and go back to eat at Le Poelon d'Or. Why not? The call of the quenelle! The staff was lovely, the artichoke/foie gras starter was excellent, and the quenelle with crayfish sauce? (Shhh, I'm savoring it, and no talking with my mouth full!) As for the praline tart... simply amazing! I think Le Poelon d'Or will remain our go-to little bistro for our visits to Lyon or when we're passing nearby! Don't change a thing and keep up your high standards in every area. Thank you!

04/06/2026: Their sweet bao buns are excellent, the bubble teas too, the room is very welcoming and comfortable, a good place in Lyon for an afternoon snack!

04/05/2026: I've been to the restaurant several times and the food is delicious and plentiful. This time I decided to order couscous to take away for 8 people and all my guests loved it! I'll definitely be back, both dining in and ordering takeout.

02/07/2026: Excellent beef bobun. Delicious spring rolls. It's a shame the restaurant is poorly ventilated and the kitchen exhaust fans don't work properly. But overall, I'm still impressed.

10/05/2026: How to eat Japanese food in the heart of Lyon? This is the place to go. A concise menu featuring all the essential Japanese dishes and specialties, from appetizers to desserts. A wide selection of beers and sake. Small dining room on the ground floor and a lovely room upstairs. The chef is the sole master of his tiny kitchen, and his wife provides friendly service. Takeout and delivery are available.

26/02/2026: This is the third time out of the ten or so orders we've placed with you that the anchovy pizzas have either been under-topped or the extras we paid for are missing. The crust edges are also hard and rubbery. For a pizza that claims to be premium, this is very disappointing. I won't be back. (See photo) Our pizza, which is supposed to be an anchovy pizza, is outrageous for a €17 pizza with extras, and this is the third time, so it's deliberate.
