20/11/2025: Family meal for three, Tuesday lunchtime, November 18, 2025. Always a pleasant welcome, and a very good meal (rabbit leg with mustard sauce - cod loin). Excellent value for money, €20 per person including drinks. I recommend this restaurant/bistro which also does takeout. Remember to book (especially on Thursdays).

20/12/2025: This was my first experience at a fine dining restaurant, and I wasn't disappointed. The service was very friendly and professional, and the evening cocktail was delicious. The dishes were flavorful and surprisingly generous considering their elegant presentation. We will gladly return.

12/10/2025: There were four of us. What a wonderful culinary experience! The blend of flavors. The atmosphere of a welcoming little village and the pleasant conversation. The dishes were piping hot and tasty. Well presented. A short walk through the village was necessary to fully absorb the flavors. We'll be back!

02/01/2026: Almost daily, I go to "Les Tontons," which has gradually become "My headquarters"!!! I stay for about two and a half hours each time, at the bar, and regularly in the restaurant, with friends. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and we're all on a first-name basis—Stevens (the owner), the waitresses, and me. The food is excellent and plentiful. The decor is simple but tasteful. The waitresses are very friendly, both at the bar, where Alizé works and prepares drink orders for the dining room (you need an amazing memory, often with four colleagues in the dining room, and the owner also serving!!!), and in the dining room, where Loetitia, Morgan, Maelle, and Laurine busily manage the numerous tables (150 covers possible). In short, a great place to be!!! Thank you all (don't forget the chef and his assistants). Since this review, I've witnessed scenes where people are completely lacking in manners. They walk in, as if it's a free-for-all, and go straight to the restroom, of course, without even ordering a glass of mineral water! This attitude speaks volumes about the indifference of some people who think they can get away with anything, and who are then surprised when someone points it out and refuses them entry! "Les Tontons" is a restaurant, not a public urinal! At my parents' brasserie, this kind of behavior earned its perpetrators a bucket of ice water down their underwear, to the laughter of the customers, including police officers, and believe me, they weren't going to "file a complaint," because the police would throw them out!

31/01/2026: We had dinner at the restaurant and it was a wonderful discovery. The meal was excellent; you can taste the chef's passion for the dishes and the fresh ingredients. The service was top-notch, the dining room was pleasant and spacious—we will definitely be back.

08/11/2025: What a shame we don't live in La Ferté-Bernard! We would certainly have frequented this restaurant more often, as it's truly exceptional. Everything is perfect, from the fresh and generous buffet and the hearty main course choices to the varied desserts, and the included drinks make it unbeatable value for money. The waitresses are friendly and energetic, and the chefs are top-notch. All of this makes this welcoming restaurant a must-visit and an essential destination.

30/10/2025: What a fantastic find this restaurant is! The €17 set menu is unbeatable in terms of quantity. The starter buffet is gargantuan, and the main courses are excellent. It's easy to see why it's packed and why reservations are necessary. Nothing to complain about except that the quantity, quality, and price are perfect!

09/03/2026: The service was quick, but the "wavy fries" arrived cold. The lid of the chicken Caesar salad was dirty (hair stuck to it). The cleanliness of the lid was highly questionable. I also have concerns about the hygiene of the juice cartons served with the Happy Meal. There are no longer any straws provided (or available), so young children are forced to put their mouths directly on the packaging. I spoke to a manager about these issues. He offered us a free dessert as compensation. A good response, but I won't be going back; hygiene is very important to me. Furthermore, €9.50 for a Caesar salad is very expensive considering the quality of the dish.

16/12/2025: I celebrated my retirement with some colleagues. I rediscovered a restaurant I used to pass on my way to work. I found it to be a lovely place, with excellent food and a great team. We had a wonderful time. I highly recommend it if you're ever in the area.

30/01/2026: We had a wonderful time. We opted for the four-course tasting menu (reasonably priced with two glasses of wine included) and what a pleasant surprise! Everything was perfect from start to finish, with excellent flavor combinations, delicious sauces, and an original dessert! A fantastic restaurant in Le Mans; we'll definitely be back!
