13/11/2025: We have been here a few times and always a delight! Sitting in the garden in the summer was so relaxing with a coffee and cake,no one rushes you,some ladies were in deck chairs reading and can understand why. The cakes and cookies are divine as are the coffee and teas. Visited with a friend who was recuperating from surgery and she loved the hot orange chocolate! Lovely quiet location despite being near the supermarket. Thank you to the girls and ladies who work here you are so helpful.

15/01/2026: A friendly place with super friendly staff. A great atmosphere. Open 365 days a year, tobacco shop, newspapers, bar and parcel pickup point. I highly recommend it.

26/01/2026: Lunch today, a party of four. There were about a dozen of us in the dining room, arriving at different times. We had to wait an hour and fifteen minutes for our hot meals. First, two were served, then the third, and the last person served received a cold dish 😒. So, back to the kitchen it went. We didn't understand the small chalkboard menu with only three or four choices for starters and main courses; it should have been quick! The excuse was that a new chef was getting settled in! With so few people, it was incredibly slow, and we waited even longer for dessert, which they could have just plated. Very disappointed. The food wasn't very good, but the wait was long, and there was no compensation or apology. We won't be going back. No wait for a table, but a very long wait to be served...

19/01/2026: We booked for four people for 12:00, it was 12:05 and still not open, and no one answered the phone to ask if they were opening, so we went to another restaurant.

04/05/2025: Correct food and good taste. The food is good and the atmosphere is pleasant. Small downside on the dishes that did not all arrive at the same time.

04/11/2025: Not worthy of a chef! Dry shepherd's pie with a large piece of meat, seafood gratin that turned into soup, steak with shallots where you couldn't find the steak, ice-cold starter plate, in short, nothing to celebrate. Friendly waitress.

04/02/2026: This café, with its intimate atmosphere and regular clientele, truly lives up to its name. I love lingering on the terrace, watching the sea and the locals go by... the interior is wonderfully cozy and the crêpes are delicious. I haven't rated the food, as I haven't tried it... but I would definitely be tempted to try it.

14/01/2026: A magnificent establishment with a warm welcome. What can I say about my dinner? It was a revelation for my taste buds; from the appetizer to the dessert, everything was perfect. Amazing flavors, a true delight. Bravo to the chef and his team. I highly recommend Le Comptoir in Noirmoutier.
