15/05/2026: A family meal during our stay at Puy du Fou. Since all the restaurants were full, the reception staff recommended a few places. Mauritalia was one of them. We booked by phone, the staff was very welcoming, the service was excellent, we all ate very well, and the prices were very reasonable. From the outside, it doesn't look like much, but it would be a shame not to stop by. All the best! 👋

21/04/2026: Just rooms and a simple breakfast, but in an absolutely charming, peaceful setting - simply magical! Vincent is a wonderful friendly host. The pool is perfect for cold swimming. If you want lots of extras, this isn’t your place - if you want an astonishing night sky just look up.

02/07/2026: A nice, quiet little spot. The service wasn't too slow (we arrived at 7 pm). There were several small snacks available, perhaps lacking in more substantial dishes, but everything was good.

05/03/2026: A very attentive team with excellent service. We thank the new young owners for their warm welcome. A very pleasant stay with a good breakfast and a beautiful view overlooking Pouzauges. Just 10 minutes from Puy du Fou, this hotel will become a must-stop for our future trips! I highly recommend it!

10/02/2026: A belated review of my stay at this hotel, but a very positive one nonetheless! Located about twenty minutes from Puy du Fou, it's the perfect place to spend a pleasant evening and relax after a great day exploring the park. A very warm welcome from a young and dynamic team, an aperitif at the bar followed by a delicious meal in the restaurant where the food is homemade, and what can I say... the MAGNIFICENT PANORAMIC VIEW with its breathtaking panorama of Pouzauges and its sunset!!! I don't have an opinion on the room, but I slept very well. Next time, I'll definitely be back! 👌

27/06/2026: A friendly place with super friendly staff. A great atmosphere. Open 365 days a year, tobacco shop, newspapers, bar and parcel pickup point. I highly recommend it.

11/06/2026: A delicious couscous that reminds me of the one from my childhood. Everything is there according to your preferences; the vegetables are perfectly cooked and the meat is excellent. I highly recommend it.

26/05/2026: Please note, the vegetable couscous is not vegetarian, as all the vegetables cook in the meat juices. This should be made clearer. On our first visit, we were assured that the couscous was indeed vegetarian and that the vegetables and meat were prepared separately. However, on our second visit, seeing everything coming out of the same pot, we asked for confirmation and finally learned that everything was cooked together. The owners weren't particularly helpful about this and seemed not to understand why it might be a problem. It's fine not to offer a 100% vegetarian alternative (even if it's a bit of a shame), but the least they could do is be honest with their customers.
