30/04/2026: A major culinary disappointment. It didn't live up to the dishes described by the waiter. The pasta was far too overcooked, making it tasteless and sticky; the pizza was too dry to cut; and as for the dessert, to our surprise, the chocolate mousse had only been made for two hours, and the tiramisu wasn't traditional and wouldn't appeal to younger palates. Only the wine was decent. What a shame, we won't be returning!

16/05/2026: We received a very warm welcome at lunchtime. They have a simple, good, and inexpensive lunch menu that we highly recommend. The homemade ice cream is also excellent.

06/05/2026: We arrived by chance on market day, just for a refreshing drink (it was a beautiful, warm day at the end of April!). We received a very warm welcome from the waitress. We chatted for a bit, then ordered a platter with some excellent sausage and local beer. We saw some appetizing dishes being served around us. So, we decided on a fish carpaccio with local potatoes, followed by ice cream made with very fruity fresh berries. The presentation of the dishes was lovely, and the staff was very friendly. Honestly, excellent value for money!

02/04/2026: Excellent service. Béatrice in the dining room made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Serge, the chef, is truly dedicated to his cuisine, especially his cassoulet. It's a traditional restaurant run with heart. Thank you for your warm welcome; I highly recommend it.

17/05/2026: We arrived on the evening of Assumption Sunday and were extremely disappointed. After ordering our burgers, we were told the meat needed to be cooked well-done due to quality issues and a stock shortage. We asked to change our order, but it was clearly too late. The burgers were very small, with no salad, no tomato inside, and no sauce for the fries. The fries were cold. The waiter had to come back after the sauces were forgotten. We asked for a carafe of water, which never arrived. We ordered dessert, and again, they were out of stock. Yet, when the bill arrived, there was no gesture of goodwill. 👀 As an added bonus, the waiter was arguing with a kitchen staff member…

16/05/2026: A very warm welcome at La Boucherie in La Roche-sur-Yon, friendly staff and excellent food! However, a thought for staff safety: going down to the cellar without lights to retrieve the bottles turns every service into a real challenge 😅🍷
