06/04/2026: Stopped for a coffee, the waiter with the moustache was very friendly, the beach cafe is right by the sea, great, otherwise nothing to report.

22/02/2026: While passing through Jars-sur-Mer, we discovered an excellent royal couscous. We were greeted by an enchanting aroma and very welcoming, smiling people. The food was absolutely perfect and generous. The vegetables and meats were melt-in-your-mouth tender, the merguez sausage was excellent, and the semolina and broth were delicious. THANK YOU!!! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and, on top of that, met some very kind people. We highly recommend it.

15/02/2026: While visiting the island, we stopped here by chance. We left delighted. The delicious chocolate and homemade Breton pastries were divine. Perfect for a little treat.

31/12/2025: Excellent welcome. Even when all the tables were taken, the owners took our mobile number and didn't hesitate to call us back to let us know a table became available. Furthermore, the coffees and teas were delicious, as were the cakes, all in a cozy atmosphere! We had a wonderful time in this friendly place. Congratulations to the whole team!!! :)

02/11/2025: Excellent value for money! We used La Forêt catering for our wedding and we have absolutely no regrets. The dishes were delicious and generously portioned, and we received nothing but positive feedback from our guests! Ms. Praud is attentive and knows how to adapt to our wishes.

12/04/2026: Two friends introduced us to this restaurant on Saturday evening, and we have to admit we haven't been so pleasantly surprised in a long time! Lately, restaurants have often been overpriced with drastically reduced portions, or sometimes complicated service. Here, for four people, a three-course meal (starter, main, dessert) with aperitifs, a bottle of wine, and a digestif/hot drink at the end cost €40 per person, with generous portions, quality ingredients, and a friendly atmosphere. It's a good thing it's not near our home, otherwise we'd be there all the time! We'll definitely be back with friends.

13/02/2026: We had a very good night's sleep in a spacious room with comfortable bedding and a quiet atmosphere. We also thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast with its good, fresh, and varied products. A great place to stay in the center of La Roche-sur-Yon.

24/03/2026: The boss's smile is nowhere to be seen. He needs to find another job. Settling scores with employees in front of customers is not good... unprofessional... avoid this place. Go 200 meters further to Aux Saveurs without hesitation.

13/11/2025: Ideal location next to the beach. The service was a little slow because it was busy and the food was barely hot. But the staff were pleasant and did their best despite being understaffed. I particularly enjoyed the poached eggs as a starter. Well done!

08/04/2026: I don't understand the overwhelmingly positive reviews about homemade pizza; these are pizzas of Domino's-quality—with no fresh ingredients. I thought I'd gone to the wrong pizzeria based on the comments, but no, it's definitely the same one.

09/04/2026: It took 1 hour and 15 minutes to get two aperitif glasses served without the charcuterie board we ordered at the same time… Hopefully things will improve for the rest of the season. We left without continuing our meal.

30/03/2026: My review is entirely factual, as always. The crepes were served cold, even though the waitress claimed they were made fresh. The salted caramel wasn't actually salted caramel at all, and it was definitely not homemade. The coffee was undrinkable. I strongly advise against this restaurant; unfortunately, we weren't the only ones disappointed with the service and the food. Furthermore, the waitress didn't tell us the bill at every table we served. We're not tourists, and we'll be going to a competitor. We wanted a change of pace, and what a disappointment!
