04/12/2024: 2nd time for me, I took friends, my husband for whom it is difficult to please him in the restaurant, and our 5 year old daughter and everyone was won over. Very beautiful setting, welcome and very friendly team but above all very good cuisine, starter, main course and dessert nothing was left on the plate, a very good address where you can go with your eyes closed ☺️ (We are from Sables d'Olonne and we rarely have this pleasure elsewhere)

28/12/2025: Our first time trying it and it was a huge success! The pizzas are excellent and the ingredients are high quality! I doubt you could find better in La Roche.

06/10/2025: Hello, We regularly come here to buy pizzas. They're delicious, generous, and filling. Our favorites are the Francese, the Piana, the Bastiaise, the Valentina, the Porto Vecchio, and the Presidente. The value for money is excellent. The owners are good business owners. I've read some negative reviews from customers complaining about undercooked pizzas. I find that very unfair; they're always just right, in my opinion. There's no accounting for taste, but I think you just have to ask for them to be cooked more, and they'll be happy to oblige. Thank you for treating us every time. Have a nice day.

31/01/2026: Served in the veranda with a lovely sea view, I was alone and the ambiance was important to me. There were few customers, so the atmosphere was a bit subdued.

06/01/2026: The downsides: Few machines under €2. Machines are crammed together. The upsides: Friendly welcome, unlimited drinks, and phone charging available.

02/01/2026: The couscous tasted good, but the vegetables were way too big. The zucchini were 10 cm long and the carrots were cut into 5 cm pieces, and they weren't cooked properly either. I've eaten there several times before and it was always very good, but this will be the last time.

We hesitated between this and a nearby restaurant with better Google reviews, but ultimately, given the holiday season, we opted for a more budget-friendly choice, and we're so glad we did! The menu is simple and effective, but the daily specials are stunning. It's been a very long time since I've enjoyed a meal so much! From the cooking to the side dishes and the herbs, everything was expertly prepared—a true testament to the artistry and love of the plate. Not content with being captivated by the main course, I indulged in a dessert that seemed quite daring… A perfect blend of lightness and indulgence, with just a hint of Christmas spices, it was simply divine! I was blown away! Thank you, Chef, and I mustn't forget the service, which was on par with the food. We were unfortunately only passing through, but thank you for sharing this experience.

29/12/2025: Overall, a flawless experience. The menu is well-balanced and perfectly executed, clearly featuring fresh ingredients cooked with finesse. Coming from the Gers region, I tried the foie gras, which was absolutely sublime. Carefully cooked in a terrine. Classic dishes, expertly prepared. Perhaps a little less impressive was the octopus with a wing cream sauce and vegetables... a pure delight.

03/12/2025: Traveling for work, I found the place beautifully decorated and clean. I ate the best pasta dish of my life; the delicate texture and melt-in-your-mouth quality of the pasta were a real treat. The welcome and service were impeccable. Perhaps a little background music 🎵 would have been a nice addition to the meal. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

11/10/2025: A very pleasant evening! The pasta dishes with fresh products and the calzone were all delicious. The staff was very friendly. We will come back when we come to La Roche-sur-Yon!

22/11/2025: Reservation request for 2 people at 8:30 pm was refused due to "no more space," so we moved it up to 8:00 pm. The table next to us (4 people) became available at 8:10 pm, and at 8:30 pm there was still no one there, so the refusal was simply to avoid closing later. The galette was sparsely filled. There was no possibility of changing the filling (vegetarian); the request was to remove the bacon. So I ordered a "biquette" (a type of savory crepe) which was completely bare (two measly slices of goat cheese and three lettuce leaves) for €11.70. However, the Nutella and whipped cream crepe was excellent.

29/12/2025: A very warm and friendly welcome. Generous portions, refined and carefully prepared homemade cuisine from appetizer to dessert, offering excellent value for money. Impeccable flavors and presentation for my mother's 100th birthday meal. Le Chêne Vert is a highly recommended restaurant; the owner and chef are fantastic!
