11/12/2025: Second visit We returned for lunch in November, and it was still excellent. Given the season, we were seated inside; the dining room is superb and very well laid out. We will gladly return. First visit We came for lunch during the week (3 adults). Everything was perfect: the welcome, the terrace, the food, the service. Very good value for money. We had a wonderful time.

25/06/2026: Passing through Les Sables d'Olonne during a heatwave, I stopped at this restaurant to ask them to refill my water bottle. The owner clearly replied, "I'll fill it halfway." I asked him to fill it completely because it was 40°C outside, and that I would leave him some money if necessary. He said, and I quote, "If I have to do that for everyone, I'll never get anywhere." There's a certain level of basic courtesy that, unfortunately, seems to have disappeared in this world. I remind you that we're in the middle of a heatwave with temperatures reaching 40°C. It's not very customer-friendly. I still left him a two-euro coin.

15/05/2026: First of all it is advisable to book. I went today and it was packed with both French and English. I had to sit outside as I hadn't booked which is why.only 1 star for atmosphere. It looked lively though. It was so good to get HOT food which I think is not always the case elsewhere. I had the onion rings which were cooked perfectly followed by the beef and guiness pie with chips. Portions werf good. Having lived in France for 32 years, I miss a good old meat pie and this didn't disappoint. All in all a good lunch. The coffee was a tad too strong for me but that is down to taste. Would I vislit again - yes.

10/07/2026: The best pizza in La Roche! We've been delighted to be customers of Le Crystalin pizzeria (run by Chrystelle and Alain) for years. The team is fantastic: welcoming, friendly, and funny. Special mention goes to Brice, the very professional and attentive waiter. The portions are generous: the toppings are plentiful, and I love the thinness of the crust (you can ask for it to be thicker if you're picky). The salmon is house-smoked. The ice cream is homemade, as are the pastas, the Bolognese... Everything is fresh, the ingredients are local (bought from the farmer who lives 5km away), and everything is French. They offer gluten-free pasta and things like vegetarian lasagna. The setting is lovely, and the atmosphere is family-friendly. There's even a homemade basil plan on the bar that would make anyone envious.

28/06/2026: A more mixed experience than before after returning to Baracoa. The starters were good in terms of flavor, however, my squid was overcooked and therefore no longer tender. The main courses were decent, but the pork lacked international flavor. The meat jus was well executed, however, we expected more originality in the recipe given the restaurant's focus. Overall, considering the prices, we found the portions far too small: the squid was very light, and the side dishes were meager, especially the tiny cube of polenta with the pork. It's a shame when you leave with a bill of almost €80 for two without having ordered dessert (including drinks). One small but significant point: the terrace really needs some background music!

30/06/2026: Delicious food. I got the mignons in mustard sauce 👍. The appetizers weren't huge, but they were sufficient. It was quite crowded, but not noisy. Price: 18.90. Shower included. Recommended

18/06/2026: Booked for 4 people, we received a very warm welcome from the bartender. The food was excellent, made with fresh ingredients. The restrooms were clean. The staff was very responsive and attentive, right from the parking lot 😉 In this very hot weather, the bartender even refilled our water bottles. What more can I say? Thank you so much!

06/02/2026: A really great restaurant! It has a friendly atmosphere, and the good vibes are evident both in the food and the dining room. The vegetarian pizza was excellent and well-balanced. And the half salad, half pizza deal was fantastic. A good beer to top it all off. In short, we'll be back to try the desserts.

24/05/2026: The bar is great for drinks with a beautiful view of the harbor, a fantastic atmosphere with DJs coming by, a great owner, etc… but the waiter really left something to be desired. He didn't smile much, the welcome wasn't very warm, and we felt like we were bothering them. With the first warm days of summer arriving, we ordered cocktails and water, but he said, "I'll take care of the people who are drinking alcohol and paying first, and then we'll see about the water," which is completely unprofessional. Adding two chairs was too complicated for him (not for the owner, who happily made room for us). So we went to the owner for the water, and he gave it to us immediately, along with little jars of peanuts. Be careful when choosing your staff, because it changes the perception of the bar, which is otherwise great, as we've been going there for years now!
