30/07/2026: The room is a bit dated, but the beds are fine. After I mentioned that we wanted a family room because there were five of us, a travel cot was immediately placed in the room. We were welcomed kindly, and afterwards we went to get something to eat here. This was also fine; we were just passing through, so we booked one night.

However, there were a few service errors: the table was cluttered because the aperitif glasses hadn't been cleared, the waitress removed the bread basket to free up space, I ordered a "gourmet tea" but received a "gourmet coffee" even though I had already chosen my tea bag, and they brought me a small pitcher for my tea with no water in it! Perhaps they were just beginners!

11/08/2026: Honestly, I received a super warm welcome. The menu was simple but very good and quite generous. The rabbit was excellent. The staff were smiling and friendly. Stopping on the terrace was a real treat. Don't hesitate to eat here. Everything was spotless and delicious.

28/07/2026: Passing through town, we ordered two pizzas to go. We waited 40 minutes even though the restaurant was empty, and another 20 minutes for two beers. Completely outrageous. The manager clearly told me he prioritizes customers dining in. Nice sales pitch...

04/07/2026: Discovered yesterday at lunchtime, we live in the area but hadn't been before. Lunchtime, feeling a bit peckish, not much choice in Châtenois, so we went, and what a pleasant surprise! Everything was delicious and very fresh. For dessert, my partner's "café très gourmand" (a very indulgent coffee) was divine, and my salted caramel ice cream was equally amazing. Just one small hiccup: only one server, very friendly but overwhelmed, but oh well, we had time... We'll definitely be back...

14/08/2026: The meat looked like a shoe sole, and to top it off, my girlfriend got food poisoning after ordering a veal escalope with cream sauce. Disgusting.

12/08/2026: A Vosges salad that was absolutely terrible. A Vosges platter that I didn't even eat, it was so bad. And to top it off, you mention it to the cashier and the server, but they still charge you for the salad without offering any compensation. Don't go there, it's awful.

18/07/2026: I ordered from Uber Eats yesterday: after an hour they called to tell me the dish was no longer available (I was supposed to get it delivered in 45 minutes, by the way). I asked them to cancel the order, they said yes but didn't. I ended up being charged 40 euros because they can't cancel an order. I feel ripped off. In short, dishonest people.
