08/06/2024: Passez la planche de l’apéro car pas terrible Je vous conseille de rester dîner les galettes sont bien garnies et excellentes le personnel attentif J’encourage ce restaurant à maintenir le cap car très surprise par les commentaires précédents

08/06/2024: Très étonnés des avis négatifs car les serveuses étaient très serviables. Les plats étaient copieux et très bons. Continuez dans ce sens

06/07/2024: J'ai achete 3 tartelettes salees , immangeables, pleines d'eau et insipides. J'ai laisse un message sur le repondeur pour informer la boulangerie de mon insatisfaction. Pas de retour. Tartes salees a proscrire.

15/09/2024: I didn't understand previous bad reviews in 2022 and 2023. This was our second time to have dinner at l'Ardoise before taking the ferry to Portsmouth. Both times the welcome was friendly and the service was efficient. The food was delicious, fresh and well presented and cooked. We had some very large prawns with what tasted like home made mayonnaise followed by a gratin of scallops and oyster mushrooms in a delicious creamy sauce. Dessert was a 3 in 1, a glass of yummy chocolate mousse, a glass of raspberry pannacotta and a small almond cake. The price was reasonable.

03/09/2024: We have visited this restaurant several times over the last couple of years. It is ideally placed near to the ferry, the food is fresh, nicely presented and good sized portions. I usually go for the seafood platter, either in a menu du jour or as un plat as it is beautifully fresh and great value for money. Prices are great, considering elsewhere they have escalated and the staff are very efficient. Some of the reviews I read prior to sitting in the restaurant were very unfair I thought. We will definitely be visiting again and I’ll be dreaming about the seafood platter en route!!
