23/06/2026: Wonderful welcome from our hosts and excellent friendly hospitality throughout our 7 night stay. Lovely people. Our room a Superior Studio upstairs overlooking the pool was spotless, spacious and very well appointed. Excellent shower and nice to have the kitchen area with a full size fridge. Outside our room we had a spacious private terrace with table and chairs etc. The restaurant service is very friendly and efficient and the food is delicious. Because we were there for 7 nights, Christophe cooked for us "off menu". Something we really appreciated. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it as a brilliant base for exploring the area. A big thank you to Marina, Christophe and the team!

02/11/2025: Fantastic seafood buffet. Warm atmosphere, very friendly waitresses, and a very welcoming atmosphere. We'll be back. We returned and enjoyed ourselves just as much as before. The seafood buffet is still as delicious as ever, and the set menus are still as generous and tasty. The service is always perfect.

08/06/2026: This place is the best restaurant I've ever been to. I don't know about the rooms in this review, but from Paris, one can't help but wonder about the quality of French cuisine served in the capital... The outdoor setting was magnificent; we were protected from wasps attracted by the sweetness and delicious aromas. The Périgord quality, traditional to this region, should be a French example. I remember the amuse-bouches being exceptional, the foie gras delicious, and the main course delicious and generous, especially since we had a "surprise" apricot tart... I would go back every year if I could. I plan to return this year, alone or with friends... we'll see. But the Dordogne is the pinnacle of French gastronomy, and it's home-style cooking. The cuisine is rich, complete, nutritious, and delicious. Thank you for this memory, which is making me want to eat "home-style" food even from Paris. Gabriel

07/08/2026: We wanted to try this restaurant, and unfortunately, we don't agree with the other glowing reviews. The welcome was indeed friendly, but the meal was really disappointing. My son ordered the €25.50 set menu, in which the fries were really subpar. They were nowhere near as good as fresh fries. His dessert was also very basic. We also ordered two burgers with the same type of fries. We weren't asked how we wanted our steaks cooked... They were also far from a butcher's steak; the thickness was the same as what you get in fast food restaurants. My wife didn't like the signature Sarlat burger, and the cheese used wasn't the one listed on the menu. I ordered the Périgord salad, and it wasn't any better. The foie gras was too salty. As for the service, it was indeed fast, as often mentioned in other reviews, and that was to ensure a second seating! We were told to arrive at 6:30 pm. This way of doing things is really unpleasant, even if we understand they need to make money (for your information, I made the same kind of comment at Pierre Etchebest's restaurant).... Following this, we preferred to stop at the main course and not have dessert because we would have been disappointed for sure. We had it elsewhere and that cheered us up.

02/08/2026: It makes no sense; they refuse takeout orders but have no problem eating in... For dining in, there's no table service; you eat at dirty picnic tables, directly from the cardboard box, and the drinks are canned, so there's no real reason to refuse customers. Open only four days a week in the summer... I'm from the area, I wanted a change from the usual, but not with them. First and last time here.

27/07/2026: The four of us visited Pirates du Périgord and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The pizzas – Chorizo, 4 Fromages, and Charcutière – were outstanding: crispy crusts, generous toppings, and fresh ingredients. We also enjoyed a very good rosé that paired perfectly with the pizzas. The outdoor pizza experience was particularly lovely. The relaxed atmosphere made the food taste even better. The unique ambiance and friendly service completed the perfect evening. Anyone in the area looking for excellent pizza in an exceptional setting should definitely visit Pirates du Périgord. A clear 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

26/07/2026: Restaurant on the Bougniagues-Plaisance road. Very friendly aperitif evening with charcuterie boards, beer/wine, and music. The manager and staff are very pleasant and smiling. It's primarily a roadside restaurant, but it welcomes all customers who want to eat there. Don't miss the market hall at J Relais Plaisance.

16/07/2026: This is the first time I've stopped for dinner and a night's sleep. The service and food were a 10/10. They have a shower, and the atmosphere is very pleasant and friendly. If I come back on this route, I'll definitely stop here again.
