29/11/2025: Excellent local cuisine in Périgueux. I tried a trapiflette d'Echourgnac with a hint of walnut liqueur. It was simply incredible.

19/11/2025: For local products, this is the right place. A beautiful Gascon platter, well presented, the waiter is efficient and discreet. Everything seems perfect if you don't order the dessert, which is practically a rip-off: a third of a slice of walnut cake, three tiny slices of some kind of cake. Frankly, it would be more sensible to offer nothing at all, or at least serve decent portions instead of these tiny morsels... a shame.

18/11/2025: A superb experience. Refined cuisine with surprising flavors. The dessert, with its improbable "coffee/porcini" flavored ice cream, was a delight. I highly recommend it.

07/12/2024: We are just leaving this wonderful restaurant. I'm not going to focus on the cuisine which is just divine (quality and quantity) but on the person who runs this restaurant. Josiane welcomed us “like at home” with unspeakable kindness. We had a great time, animals are welcome. Go there with your eyes closed, we will come back.

17/09/2024: A lovely spot for dinner. I had the special duck with 5 spice served with rice and salad. Also had a portion of chips which were probably the best I've ever tasted! Delicious! Beautiful views of the river in a very serene and peaceful location. Great, friendly service from the staff. Overall a nice place to eat and watch the river pass by. Recommend the house punch :)

23/06/2025: A very pleasant surprise at this restaurant with its shaded terrace overlooking the Vézère River. The full menu costs less than €17, and is generous and delicious. The melting potatoes are a real treat. The service is fast and efficient.

14/06/2025: We thoroughly enjoyed the €29 menu. The service was very attentive, the four courses arrived at a suitable pace, and were very good. The chef greeted us very warmly. For soup, we had garlic soup (Tourrain blanchi) with croutons, then we had duck liver on toast (Foie Gras a canard maison), a wonderful salad with walnuts, and pulled duck (Salade de confit éffilé), which was sumptuous. For the main course, we had duck breast (Magret de Canard) or beef steak (Pavé de boeuf) with green beans (Haricot vert), a sauce of our choice, and sautéed fries. The meat was cooked to perfection, juicy, and delicious. (The potatoes were the only dish that was simply not good; they weren't freshly made, but rather mushy and watery. Fries would have been better.) For the fourth course, we had the local goat cheese Cabécou with honey on toast on a bed of lettuce – heavenly! ``` The terrace is beautifully situated above the Vésére River and is covered with sails and vines. The tip from the very friendly Elodie at the tourist information office was very good! Be sure to make a reservation on weekends!

09/09/2024: Nous avons été déçus par ce restaurant.Je dirais que c’est un restaurant chaleureux mais Le gérant étant seul à servir, nous avons beaucoup trop attendu… Concernant les assiettes des plats principaux nous avons trouvé qu’elles étaient peu garnies et mon mari a été très très déçu par son confit de canard qui était sec comme c’est pas possible. Quel dommage… Surtout à ce prix ! Nous trouvons que les menus sont chers pour ce que nous avons mangé.

30/09/2024: Un super petit restaurant qu'il ne faut pas rater. Le menu à un prix imbattable vous propose des plats originaux du terroir. Le personnel est très agréable et la propreté est de rigueur.
