29/08/2024: Good welcome but a little long wait, disappointing pancakes and pancakes compared to the last time, making you wonder if the chef hadn't changed. The dough was soft and tasteless, particularly for the pancakes (lack of salt and lack of butter when cooking). The filling of the pancakes was particularly dry (perigourdine) and the shredded duck advertised looked more like overcooked mince; Had to ask for fresh cream to soften it. Salad sauce with a weird taste when usually the hint of curry really adds something extra to the sauce. The waitress and then the waiter took our comments into account and offered me the coffee, unfortunately much too long for my taste (cup almost overflowing). Let's say it wasn't a good day...

12/08/2024: We live 5 mins from Chateau Les Merles and have always had a great meal but today we booked lunch and it was quite disappointing. We always sit outside but they need to divide the dining area to smokers and non-smokers as who wants to eat a meal taking in someones smoke!! to be fair we did ask and the Manager kindly moved us to another area only to find the couple next to us both smoking !!! I had a vegetarian option which was lovlie my partner had steak which was overcooked & tough !! They did ask when we left if we enjoyed our meal but it was our Anniversary and to be honest didnt want to make a fuss but now I wish I had. We just didnt want to upset the day. !! Sorry Chateau Les Merles not sure if we will return !!!

23/07/2024: Que dire si ce n est que le service y est de bonne tenue , les assiettées raffinées mais au contenu un peu court en bouche , le cadre attrayant, la carte des vins correcte. L ' addition fait ressentir que vous vous trouvez dans un château. A vous de voir ...

22/09/2024: If you ever want to order cold drinks after a hot summer day, it's simply impossible... Yes yes from 6 p.m. the staff will tell you (without further explanation) that the drinks service is no longer available, on a Saturday, at 6:15 p.m., in the city center... The comedy of this situation! It's something to laugh about but I understand that my two poor drinks were not tempting enough to increase the turnover at the end of the day. Probably lazy on the part of the staff to have to go get two drinks and collect 15 poor euros... The terrace was almost full of people who, like us, were drinking drinks, and the funny thing is that when we came back 30 minutes later, there were no people inside or out. Obviously drinkers are turned away from this establishment like at the entrance to a nightclub, in 20 years and even in larger cities I have never seen or heard this excuse. Having asked people in the industry, they have never heard that too 😂 In short, if you are going to drink at this address, move on.

25/08/2024: Extremely disappointed! €75 for two for frozen products. A shame for Périgord to have frozen potatoes called salardaise potatoes and porcini mushrooms of poor quality and poorly washed... Does not deserve 1 star but certainly does not deserve more than 4 stars.

08/09/2024: Wir sind angekommen wurden herzlich empfangen. Das Ambiente ist wunderschön es passt alles zusammen von den Farben usw. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und haben immer ein Lächeln auf dem Lippen. Die crepes sind sehr lecker 😋.

26/08/2024: Bon accueil , repas dans la cour d'une ancienne école qui sert également de lieu d'exposition . Galettes salées et crêpes toutes délicieuses . Nous y avons vraiment passé un bon moment , je vous le conseille sans hésiter . Pensez à réserver .

La pâte est toujours croustillante à l’extérieur et moelleuse à l’intérieur, avec une garniture généreuse et des ingrédients frais. Chaque bouchée est un vrai régal! Le personnel est accueillant et le service est rapide, même en période de forte affluence. Les prix sont très raisonnables pour la qualité offerte. C’est devenu mon adresse incontournable pour les soirées pizzas en bord de Dordogne. Je recommande vivement!”

18/08/2024: Pizza plutôt bonnes! La pâte est fine ce qui évite l'effet bourratif. Les produits semblent être de bonne qualité. Dommage qu'ils ne prennent pas les chèques vacances

07/09/2024: My mother and I came for lunch at La Cour d'Eymet after reading the good reviews from the Michelin guide and customers. We were not disappointed. The room is very nice, the chef who also served was really great and sells his cuisine well. And his cuisine is delicious, a foie gras terrine to die for, the extra tender beef fillet with its sauce and vegetables and the crispy apricots, a treat. We will come back as soon as possible.

09/09/2024: Half fig, half grape experience. I am surprised to see that I am alone in the restaurant and a couple on a Saturday lunchtime. Beautiful clean colorful modern room decoration. I had a starter and main course a la carte. As a starter I had an escalope of foie gras with figs, excellent, but minimal portion given the price 36 euros. For main course I had a duck tournedos with vegetables from the garden, original presentation, Corsican juice, very good. Professional service. Very good country bread, irregular sticky crumb, characterful crust. In short, a very good cook but lacks generosity on the plate.

27/09/2024: Magnifique endroit bucolique, accueil agréable, mets délicats, sublimes.. Une belle découverte sur tous les plans quant au menu de la burrata de chèvre, en passant par au pavé de lieu sur son lit coco et le fondant au chocolat accompagné de pistaches ;quel régal des papilles... Bravo et merci au chef , à toute l'équipe pour ce moment harmonieux que vous nous offrez en partage ..Il n'y a que de l'amour dans tous ces actes... Merci infiniment, à bientôt avec plaisir..
