22/09/2026: From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we felt it lived up to its name (truly "One of the Senses"). It's a hidden paradise for those seeking to escape the noise and chaos of the city and completely relax. The room design is incredibly thoughtful; natural textures, soft lighting, and wooden details create a tremendous sense of tranquility. The bed and textiles were top-notch; I had one of the most restful sleeps of my life. The staff is extremely kind, attentive, and professionally attentive, never intrusive. Every detail is designed with the comfort and convenience of the guests in mind. The breakfast was simply wonderful. The presentations, prepared with local, fresh, and organic products, appealed to both the eye and the palate. The quality of the ingredients and the balance of flavor were absolutely top-notch. Thanks to the entire team!

Simplicity and kindness are the order of the day. The cuisine is home-style, which is exactly what we look for when we visit a farm inn—the kind of food our grandparents used to make. Sharing a piece of their local heritage. No frills, no assembly-line service, no glitz, just authenticity and flavor. You can choose between goose or duck, knowing that the two are completely different in terms of taste. For dessert, the walnut cream is a real taste sensation. The coffee is truly excellent. We will definitely be back because we simply loved it. The shop is open so you can continue the culinary experience at home. Thank you 🌸

17/09/2026: We made a quick stop at the free campervan area by the town hall to hike the Auvezere Gorge. On the way back, we stopped at the restaurant and what a great find! My husband had a set menu (starter, main course, dessert, and coffee) for €18, which was delicious. I had the duck confit with homemade fries—incredible! The crème brûlée was superb! Everything is high quality and homemade. I highly recommend it.

As for the waiter, he was pleasant, knowledgeable about the dishes he offered, and particularly friendly when he played his guessing games with us 👌😁😉. We had a wonderful time because the food was amazing, the duck breast was cooked to perfection, the foie gras was excellent, and the trio of desserts was fabulous. 20/05/2026: We were a group of motorcyclists who received a very warm welcome. Laetitia and Eric shared their passion for truffles with us. During our stay, we were able to sample various specialties and a delightful array of desserts, lovingly and passionately prepared to tantalize our taste buds. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, ensuring restful nights in the peaceful Périgord countryside. The presentation and tour of the truffle orchard were very informative and answered all our questions. A truly immersive stay at a very welcoming, informative, and delicious guesthouse. 28/08/2026: An incredible place!!! We had a fantastic time. The escape game had the most beautiful sets I've ever seen in all the escape games I've done. The stories are really great! The restaurant is also top-notch: we ate very well. And the service… What can I say? Incredible!!! The staff were extremely kind, from the two managers to the person in the dining room. Absolutely nothing to complain about, everything was perfect!! An experience I 100% recommend! ❤️

09/06/2026: So, it's been almost a year. We decided to book La Chartreuse du Bignac for our wedding. It was a natural progression for us, since the proposal took place in this breathtaking setting. For the past year, La Chartreuse has been with us every step of the way, helping us choose the menu, the wines, and organizing everything. The big day was on June 6th, with exclusive use of the estate so our guests could extend the celebration. This weekend was unforgettable for everyone, from the planning to the culinary delights. Everything was wonderful, from the cocktail hour to the meal, and even breakfast. Thank you to Jean Twari and his team for the culinary creations, thank you to Marina Arfeuille for the organization and her support, thank you to Pauline Lavignerie and Bastien for the service in the rooms. Thank you to the entire team at La Chartreuse. For a truly unique and unforgettable experience, I highly recommend this estate; it's simply perfect.

Nothing seemed to be properly cooked; it was more like assembling relatively poor-quality ingredients. Very disappointing considering the 4.4/5 rating.
