24/02/2026: Very tired God forgotten place with food that reminded me of post war times and where cappuccino tasted more like hot chocolate and costs 4 euros per coffee even though the price on the machine clearly states 2.60 euros. It took 5 min for someone to come out from the kitchen to serve us. Food and deco looked so uninviting that we decided to just order a coffee and leave. I would not recommend.

10/02/2026: Update from January 10, 2026: Back at this cafe and it was very, very good, simple, and inexpensive. Basic but very tasty starters. Main course: roast chicken, super delicious, with green vegetables, potatoes, and jus. Absolutely fantastic, I thoroughly enjoyed it, and it was a generous portion! A small chocolate mousse-style dessert, so very good. I loved it because it was well-prepared and homemade; it was absolutely delicious, well done! Original post: Great food. We had the chicken escalope with tarragon sauce, which was to die for: perfectly tender, flavorful, a delight. The vegetables were great. The welcome was incredibly kind and pleasant; we felt very comfortable. The decor is very nice. In short, a good cafe-style restaurant, but of high quality. Just a slightly smaller selection of starters and desserts, but it's not a big deal. Thank you to the owners.

07/01/2026: While my presence in the morning hadn't bothered the rather grumpy owner too much, the evening shift snubbed me when I simply asked for a glass of water in addition to the drinks I'd already ordered and received at my table. I just didn't pay immediately because she'd left too quickly. At the very end, seeing me preparing to leave, neatly putting my things away and barely having risen from my seat, she pointed out, even before I looked up and after I'd politely said "goodbye," and even before I'd made a move to leave through the door of her establishment, she said, and I quote, "Uh, but you have to pay, sir!" with a pout that clearly indicated she expected me not to pay. Tough luck, I always settle my debts, and I told her I would have been back the next day, especially since I had indeed planned to return, even though she didn't believe me. So here I am, a thief and a liar to boot! And this despite the fact that I was planning to spend the entire following week exploring the region while I was staying nearby! I thanked her, sincerely apologized, explaining that it had completely slipped my mind (to pay; with the end of the year approaching, my responsibilities as a dog handler, the ongoing partial management of my family, and so on), and paid for the drinks (almost the same as in the morning: 4 euros for the espresso and the kiwi diabolo, not forgetting the tip for her trouble). I left. Then, after a few steps, I decided to turn around immediately. I came back to tell her about my thirst and the glasses of water I never received, and that despite all this and her insulting and disrespectful attitude towards me, I was hesitant to return the next day. She was utterly contemptuous. So I left, saying, "See you tomorrow!" What she said to me behind my back as I was walking through the door towards Martyrs' Square across the street was, and I quote: "Goodbye forever." To which I immediately replied, pointing my fingers at her so she'd better watch out. She's completely unintelligent. And he's hardly any better than her. NEXT TIME, PLEASE MAKE ME PAY FOR ALL THE DRINKS I BUY BEFORE I even consume them; it would avoid this kind of hassle, frankly! Especially since you don't know me from Adam and have never seen me before. And one last thing: take good care of yourself... Have a wonderful holiday anyway, I imagine. 25/02/2026: One of the few restaurants open at the end of February, a €17.50 set menu consisting of pumpkin soup, a generous slice of homemade country pâté, cassoulet, and chocolate cake (or two scoops of ice cream). We ate it all, it was delicious! Friendly service and excellent food, highly recommended!

05/05/2026: We were quite disappointed. The Foie Gras was good but the rest of the meal was not worth the price and the service was very slow.

17/09/2025: A great place to stop for lunch after visiting the market. Between us, we had omelette, mussels, chicken and beef burgers, and we all enjoyed our meals. We sat in the barn, out the back. Prices are very good, about 16 Euros each without alcoholic drinks. Thoroughly recommended.
