21/06/2025: Yesterday evening we had dinner with four people at this table d’hôtes. We sat outside on the terrace, the food was delicious, everything freshly prepared and you can taste it. Grete is a Belgian, very friendly hostess. Hats off to how she does everything on her own. Definitely recommended if you are staying in the area. Make sure to book in advance!

06/09/2024: We've been coming for years. I have never eaten the same thing twice. It's delicious and inexpensive. You pay 18 euros for the soup, a starter, a main course, dessert, wine and coffee. The boss, chef, will take you on a journey through your taste buds. Always a lot of people. Always a pleasure. See you soon.

02/08/2024: We were in the area for a week’s holiday and ate here twice as we enjoyed it so much. A small but varied menu, that is excellent value for money with delicious dishes from the local area. A beautiful setting for a restaurant with outdoor seating amongst traditional architecture and countryside views.

28/07/2024: Menu très simple pour le prix, si vous voulez prendre autre chose il y a systématique un supplément. Les menus devraient être sans supplément.

11/09/2024: Endroit parfait intérieur ou extérieur sous platanes. Cuisine délicieuse et un service de pointe. Seul bémol accueil peu chaleureux au bar.

27/08/2024: Belle adresse si vous cherchez un hôtel tranquille au coeur d'un beau village. Cet établissement est aussi un bar où vous pourrez profiter de repas de type snack, tout à fait corrects et d'un rapport qualité/prix imbattable. Les chambres sont propres et bien équipées. Parkings gratuits à coté.

25/09/2024: The staff is very friendly but the menu is more than limited. If you want a snack they can only offer you platters of cold meats or cheese with possibly an ice cream!

03/09/2024: Great place at the water's edge with the possibility of swimming and concerts are organized there during the summer, really very nice!

10/07/2024: We really enjoyed our stay at La Bastidr. The owners did their best to accommodate us and went above and beyond making us a vegan meal for lunch and dinner. The pool was fun for our daughter who very much enjoyed playing with Laurinda, the owners daughter. Thank you so much for having us!

14/07/2024: Pizzas at very reasonable prices and very good. Very pleasant welcome. We took takeaway but the room and terrace were very good. We will come back on our next visit to the area.

15/08/2024: Sommes passés au clos des Elfes déjà visité quelques années auparavant , coin toujours aussi bucolique et merveilleux, cuisine non gastronomique mais délicieuse et copieuse. Très bonne omelette aux cèpes , délicieux magret bien rosé avec pommes salardaises , tout ceci à un prix compétitif, continuez le bonheur est aussi dans l’assiette et la gentillesse du personnel.

02/09/2024: We stayed there the night of August 24-25, 2024 in room 7. When booking we knew that this room was a triple room but at the price of a double. THANKS. Spacious, clean room with good bedding. The hotel is quiet, well located by the river and a stone's throw from the castles (2) of Bourdeilles (a must-visit). Small, pleasant swimming pool too. Possibility of parking also. The welcome is friendly and professional. Very good catering (around 140 euros for 2 with aperitif, main course, dessert and glass of wine). The price of breakfast is perhaps a little high (16 euros). I recommend this hotel for its calm (far from the hustle and bustle of Brantôme), its location and its catering.

10/08/2024: Gewoon weg geweldig! Zeer vriendelijk personeel en heerlijk eten. De ambiance is gezellig op het prachtige terras! Een aanrader!
