12/08/2026: Great welcome, very pleasant. It's not necessarily "the place" for a full meal, more for cheap snacks like salads, sandwiches, fries, etc. However, the service is truly excellent, so if you're passing through Chantemerle, stop by! 😉

28/07/2026: We came on vacation, so we took the opportunity to visit the Royal. The atmosphere was incredible, the servers were extremely pleasant, smiling, and funny. Everything was perfect! A surprising and very enjoyable experience, especially when a server, whom we nicknamed "Grandpa," didn't believe us when we told him we were adults 😂 Signed, the "kids"

Great bar, great atmosphere, the cocktails are so well made that the alcohol took hold in my mind, then my stomach, and subsequently in its magnificent toilets, which I unfortunately clogged. The staff were fantastic from start to finish; they helped me unclog its majestic toilet without any hesitation! I even managed to get a blowjob from young Quentin. If you happen to be reading this, kisses. I'll definitely be back!!

23/12/2025: Warning: homophobic bar. They refused to sell cigarettes to a gay man, but sold them to a straight man (who then came to order for the gay man) three minutes later. We are outraged, what a disgrace!!!

14/07/2026: This morning at 8:45, wanting to have a quick coffee before my yoga session, I went to Kalaka Café, but unfortunately, the owner, on the eve of the Bayonne Festival opening, had reserved her terrace for regulars. Personally, I find this very inappropriate. It's a shame, I won't be going back, and I'm not the only one. Two other women who were there at the same time as me were turned away.

08/07/2026: Hello, My friend and I went to this beautiful bar with a Brazilian vibe. It's very cute, the decor and layout are pleasant and well-designed. The servers are all friendly, no problem there. But the problem lies with the food, specifically the tapas and cocktails. We ordered coxinhas and bao buns. Well, they were not at all satisfactory. We have our doubts about the coxinhas being homemade, as the cheese inside wasn't runny at all (even though it said so on the menu). It was dry, even the breadcrumbs looked unappetizing. The same goes for the bao buns. The bread wasn't soft at all, even dry, the meat wasn't tender, and there weren't many peanuts inside. In short, we had a very bad experience. Especially for the price, we were expecting something of higher quality, but no. As for the cocktails, they look beautiful and tempting, but they're not that exceptional. I'm not trying to stir things up, just sharing our experience so you can improve in this area. ;) We won't be back, have a nice day.

07/08/2026: A friend of mine had been to this bar a few months earlier and described it as having a very friendly atmosphere. It was a rude awakening as soon as we arrived: the only thing the bartender seemed truly interested in was getting us to pull out our credit cards. It was €20 to go downstairs to fight with a drink included, or €15 just to watch the fight with a drink. A friend who didn't want to drink but still wanted to enjoy the evening was politely asked to leave the bar. OUTRAGEOUS. The prices displayed on the walls were different from those advertised. We pointed out this discrepancy, and the bartender, like a good politician, brushed us off. Once downstairs... nobody was there! On a Friday night, no less. We had our fight, and then not a minute more: everything was timed to the minute. The cocktails weren't even good, and the service was extremely unpleasant. We tried to understand the situation, and the friend who had been there a few months earlier demanded an explanation. Their only response: they prefer fewer people because the police station is right next door and they don't want any trouble. As a result, we felt ripped off on the prices and treated like dirt. A place to absolutely avoid!

01/08/2026: Came on July 31st. I won't be back. We came with friends a few months ago, and it was a great experience. It's clear that the experience has completely changed. I came with another group of friends, and I was ashamed to have recommended the place to them. A rip-off... You have to wonder if the bartenders didn't steal our money. Disastrous cocktails, appalling service, exorbitant prices for not even getting into the ring, even though we were the only ones in the bar. I won't be back.

26/07/2026: We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, and after reading the reviews once we were seated, we wondered if we'd made the right choice. And in the end, YES!! It was excellent, and the staff was very friendly. We'll be back!
