08/04/2026: We were in a group and the meal was arranged. I expected top-notch food based on the reviews, but the food was average. For starters, the pumpkin cream soup was good and the mini tarts of tomato, arugula and burrata were average. And then the main course was a completely uninventive baked chicken breast, medium dry on a base of mashed potatoes and then the highlight: a mini skewer of 1 small new potato with a non-seasoned diced carrot sauce. So 3 ingredients on a plate without any greens. The white and red wines were rated 3.4 and 3.6. Indeed, expectations did not match the real result.

26/03/2026: Ideal for drinks, lunch, and evening get-togethers with friends. Always a great atmosphere, the food is good, and the prices are reasonable. Reservations recommended.

24/03/2026: Le Quatre Vents – Brest 23rd October 2025 We arrived in Brest as our first stop ahead of a tour of the west of France and a return to the UK across the Bay of Biscay. We happened upon this brasserie partly by accident, having walked around the upper part of the town and realising that much of the more interesting eateries were down by the port area. What a find. We had fish soup to start and I then chose the Moules, my partner opting for a delicious meat dish. We stayed longer than planned due to a very heavy rain shower (pre-empting a heavy storm which impacted on our travel plans the next day) but we had a lovely afternoon in this authentic local restaurant (and more wine than originally envisaged!) Many locals clearly return to eat here and I understand why. The food, the service and the overall ambience were all a delight. Great value, too. If I return to Brest, I would love to come back to Le Quatre Vents. The name of the place proved rather prescient, given travel disruption the following morning.

20/03/2026: Okay, I'm going to be direct because this restaurant really annoyed me. First, we waited almost 30 minutes just to be asked for our drinks. Then, we ordered our food 15 minutes later, but the worst part is that we arrived at the same time as other groups. After 5 minutes, the other groups were served, while we waited almost 30 minutes before being served, and the other groups were already clearing their tables! The pizza was really mediocre, like, it was okay, but it wasn't a GOOD PIZZA... The service time was way too long!

24/11/2025: I ate there by chance with my partner, a great find. Excellent service, superb dishes and desserts, I highly recommend it and will definitely return.

06/03/2026: A wonderful discovery at the Dragon d'Asie restaurant, where we had booked for 4 people at 7:30 pm. We found the service to be impeccable, and the waitress was very friendly and smiling. The food was excellent, full of flavors and tastes. The value for money for the €25 menu was perfect, so we will definitely return for dinner when we are back in Carhaix. 28/12/2025: How can you treat customers like this? The waitress was unpleasant, she just threw our cutlery, glasses, and menu to the end of the table and left us to figure it out ourselves! We felt overwhelmed, and our order was rushed without us even having time to look at the menu! The service was extremely poor! Perhaps a career change would be in order for the waitress! We didn't even order dessert or coffee because of this experience. It's a shame to treat customers like this! The information was passed on to the manager, who doesn't seem to read her reviews. And she's not exactly respectful!

27/12/2025: Very, very fast service, so fast that my husband didn't have time to finish his coffee because the waitress cleared the table with it. Too bad, otherwise the crepes were good.

18/02/2026: For 37 years we've been vacationing in Lampaul-Plouarzel/Plouarzel and we were often here to enjoy the excellent cuisine of the previous owner. So we were very curious to meet the new young chef and his team. What a pleasant surprise! The service was warm and friendly; we felt right at home. All the dishes were deliciously prepared and made us eager to discover the chef's new creations. Now we're looking forward to our next vacation to return!
