17/05/2026: I was very disappointed by this restaurant, even though I had eaten there in previous years. The frogs' legs were overcooked and dry, the rum baba was disappointing, and they didn't offer us any beer or cocktails.
There were only two of us in the restaurant. The waiter brought us the bill and then left, leaving us alone. We could have left without paying if we hadn't had cash and if we had been dishonest.
15/05/2026: We came for a birthday celebration and were seated on the terrace despite the rain and the dripping gutters. The waitress politely asked us to move our cutlery inside. From the aperitif to the cheese course, nothing was easy; we felt like we were bothering her. But the worst part was when the cake arrived. No one in the kitchen had come in, and we had to wait for someone to return. The candles were blown out on a cake that wasn't the one we ended up with. No compensation whatsoever! After posting a comment on Facebook, the restaurant blocked me. Completely unprofessional!

On the plus side: pleasant staff, nice atmosphere.

25/05/2026: I travel every week. I've never seen a hotel in such a dilapidated state: carpets and walls in a terrible condition, mold in the bathroom, unidentified substances stuck to the bathroom radiator… Simply scandalous.

31/05/2026: If you want to chat with friendly waiters, stop here. If you're hungry, run away! Ignore the existence of this so-called restaurant. The hygiene is deplorable, and I'm not exaggerating. It's a real shame because the setting and service are there!

We had a fondue, a pierrade and a gexiflette, the dishes were delicious.
We will return there when returning to Gex

14/08/2024: Maître d'hôtel en costume service aux petits soins décoration superbe et pour couronner le tout une gastronomie française régionale sans faille.
Cuisses de grenouilles en persillade cuisson parfaite on en mangerait sans s'arrêter.
Petites côtelettes rôties excellentes avec un gratin de patates divin .
Dessert exceptionnel arrosé copieusement de Grand marnier.
Vin du jour de qualité à un prix très correct .
Les tarifs sont très accessibles étonnant pour ce niveau de service et de qualité.
Ce restaurant est une belle découverte et il le tarde d'y retourner.
12/08/2024: Une VRAIE brasserie "à la lyonnaise" avec service irréprochable et plats tous délicieux ! J'ai été impressionné par la qualité des escargots et du poulet de Bresse, sans parler d'un amuse-bouche original et d'un dessert sublime (macarons framboises).
Rien à dire sauf un grand bravo !
PS : réservez, l'adresse est connue et appréciée...

21/09/2024: I knew this restaurant, I was passing through Trevoux, what a disappointment, flavorless cuisine and dishes without any presentation, however the bill was very salty. Next time, I won't make the detour.

15/09/2024: Nous sommes allés au Bressan aujourd hui très bon accueil et très bon plat fait maison, du foie gras, terrine de pot au feu, brechet de poulet, cuisse de poulet a la crème et les desserts tout était excellent.Pensez a réserver !!

31/08/2024: Arrived at the restaurant at 12:15 p.m. We had the honor of seeing a waitress at 12:45 p.m. who had just come to take our drink order!!!! 30 minutes of waiting just to drink!!!! This one explains to us that another waitress will come to take the order but she doesn't know when???? But what is certain is that it was not the result!!!!!
What an organization!!!! A disaster!!! We therefore left by the lack of professionalism of this establishment and other customers did the same...
24/08/2024: Catastrophic Saturday lunchtime. Arriving at 11:30 a.m. for a drink, we were offered a table to eat.
12:30 no order taken, no drinks. We ask what their white wine is, staff only know how to answer “I’m coming”. 10 minutes later still nothing, we unfortunately left without having eaten.
Too bad for a market day.
