20/09/2026: For a family gathering near Lyon in a peaceful setting, this place is perfect. The food is varied and excellent, and the service is impeccable. Thank you for this wonderful family time.

13/05/2026: Lunch. A single meal: steak, salad, and fries. The steak was rather difficult to eat without chewing thoroughly. The salad was uninteresting, and the frozen fries were floury and simply not very good. Dessert was even worse, with profiteroles whose choux pastry was several days old and grainy ice cream. The "gourmet" plate was anything but gourmet, consisting of a fruit salad that would have been sufficient, but the accompaniments were two hard, slightly stale mini muffins, a waffle identical to the muffins, and a bland, uninteresting cookie. In short, we won't be returning.

02/08/2026: Hello, welcoming restaurant with a lovely shaded terrace! As for the food 🧑‍🍳, the frog legs were disappointing! (very small, dry, and bland). I'm a bit disappointed considering the price of the set menu. And especially for the frog leg menu 🐸 at 45 euros, there were no side dishes with the legs, which were served in two courses, admittedly, but without any generosity! So, something to reconsider... (2 plates of frog legs and a cheese plate for 45 euros) is still quite expensive for this menu! Also, be careful with the broad beans in your desserts. The service was pleasant, with a rather friendly manager. I apologize, I don't usually leave this kind of review, but we're from the region and we didn't recognize the flavor of the frog legs on your plates!

05/09/2026: A wonderful experience and a pleasant surprise today. Nantua, where real restaurants are hard to find. A very warm welcome, generous portions of fresh and flavorful homemade cuisine accompanied by a proper salad and a delicious little gratin. Excellent flambéed prawns and a tasty quenelle, all very well seasoned. The dining room is simple but pleasant and clean, with cloth tablecloths, a rare find. The wine by the glass was perfectly acceptable. Impeccable service and cleanliness. Even the restrooms were spotless. In short, highly recommended. We will be back.

09/08/2026: Let's keep tastes and preferences in mind... To be clear: a great find. Lunch: good, homemade, pleasant welcome. Dinner was the same: homemade cuisine, pleasant welcome, however, there was a bit of a wait, but no big deal, I was on vacation. Calm atmosphere, background music, you can chat. GOOD VALUE for money. I recommend it.

05/05/2026: Too many people for too few servers! They need to hire more staff, otherwise we don't have much time for lunch and it becomes a problem! Otherwise, no complaints, good value for money.

23/01/2026: I really enjoyed this restaurant. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. They offer fresh products and the food is excellent. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely go back. The restaurant's interior is warm and inviting, reminiscent of our grandmother's house; it's very pleasant. The only minor drawbacks were the slightly long wait, but that's understandable given how busy it was the day I went, and I would suggest slightly larger portions.

We were greeted with a warm smile by Marie, who pampered us with her attentive service, and we were treated to delicious dishes prepared by Chef Franck, who created dishes designed to tantalize our taste buds. I highly recommend this restaurant!

For me, it's a kitchen nightmare, and I don't even know if Philippe Etchebest could help them!

28/08/2026: We ordered two freshly squeezed orange juices. And beyond the wait (it was 2:30 pm): we only got half a glass each. Probably because we asked for it without ice 🤷... I find that outrageous! €10 for two half-glasses! Once we'd finished, we noticed the glasses were dirty. Black streaks on the outside and bits of lettuce leaves (???) stuck to the inside... 😞
