25/08/2024: Restaurants in Ain make frogs, some make good frogs, the Paquet restaurant is one of them, go there with your eyes closed, a good gratin will top it off, and if you start with their foie gras, a country bread, it will be the best, and with a smile please!! thank you to this ancestral establishment in Druillat, for a normal price, given the quality.

27/08/2024: It's my turn to leave a comment given the other negative reviews I shouldn't have gone to drink my coffee there. Being afraid of having my electric bike stolen which cost me €3000 in the process, I didn't have a lock, the waitress explained to me that I had to pay at the counter. I take my bike and she explains to me that it must stay outside, she is very courteous. I would have left it there but the chef was of course insulting from behind as well. you have a great lack of manners and no respect for your customers. Oddly, as soon as there is a negative review it is never your fault. I think you need to question yourself. Next time I will refrain from drinking my coffee at your place. And the pompom I kindly ask for my water bottle to be filled and I am told there are toilets for that. In all the bars and restaurants I have been to my water bottle has always been refilled.

14/09/2024: Repas d'anniversaire de mariage avec une grosse envie de manger des grenouilles, malheureusement déçu, cuisson trop poussée et surtout grenouilles minuscules. Pour le poulet de Bresse présentation qui laisse à désirer et poulet sans bcp de goût. Bref trop cher pour ce que l'on a dans l'assiette. Heureusement service très sympathique.

22/08/2024: Very beautiful setting, very friendly owner and what can we say about the meal... we had a great time!! We had a great evening with the girls. Our only regret was not having booked a room with them given the peaceful location.

Hearty, tasty starters and main courses, all washed down with wine by the glass (15cl of roast rib at €16.80): €62.57/person with aperitif, starter, main course, dessert. Service in a good mood, very warm, attentive and serious. I recommend this restaurant

24/08/2024: La Huchette does good solid regional cuisine well, in a relaxing and unpretentious setting. It’s not going to blow your socks off with creativity or powerful flavours - it just about supports the Michelin star - but based on our experience you will have an enjoyable meal. We had the 5 courses for €75. Excellent amuse bouche at the start, and an unusual, seemingly steamed, bread roll with garlic butter. Decent cod pre-starter, and well crafted starters - slow cooked egg yolk, mousse and bits of veg for some, Charolais beef and beetroot for others. Our bresse chicken main was on the traditional side but came with a tasty morel sauce. It doubled as the “nugget” on the children’s menu. Desserts were OK. Staff very friendly, and quite a festive atmosphere inside. Not the awkward hush you still get in some restaurants around here. The pricing is largely as you would expect for a hotel restaurant with a star, but (a €14 kir aperitif aside) the extras are reasonably priced so the final bill doesn’t come with big surprises. Coffee for 2.50, 2 wines for 15, and so on. Children’s menu an acceptable €22. We didn’t stay at the hotel but it looks

10/06/2024: There was only one menu. As a starter, a terrine. When I asked the waitress "what is a terrine?" she replied "well, a pork terrine" I had the impression that I was stupid. While there are several types of terrine (fish, chicken, rabbit... The dish was drowned in cream. I didn't eat anything except a slice of bread.

26/07/2024: Cadre idyllique mais le service médiocre et l’attente interminable. Cela gâche la beauté du lieu… La cuisine n’était pas savoureuse et les assiettes trop peu garnis pour le prix… nous avons écourté la soirée car l’attente des desserts était bien trop longue.
