09/06/2026: "A quality establishment," as evidenced by numerous awards over the years, and it's clear that it's entirely deserved, with a very reasonable price for the three-course meal (starter, main, and dessert) at around €20. The quality of the ingredients, the flavors, and the friendly service are all part of the package. It's a real gem, an establishment that exudes the rigor and experience of true professionals, not to mention good humor and a welcoming atmosphere. Bravo!

07/06/2026: During a business trip, I noticed the brightly lit signs for this restaurant. From the main highway, my attention was caught, and I stopped to try the meat, drawn by the neon sign depicting a cow. I'm probably too used to it, but I've never seen such a wide selection of different cuts of beef, with different aging periods. I try a 500g steak with the family's signature sauce. Again, probably accustomed to a different way of cooking, I don't fully appreciate the flavor of the meat, probably because it's marinated in too much garlic, which overwhelms the flavor, and the meat is still difficult to cut and chew. The flavor is too strong for me, even though the meat is high-quality, but I have trouble chewing it. I also took the opportunity to try the fondue, with soft pieces of bread to dip in, a dish I enjoyed very much. A good glass of typical white wine to accompany everything. And to finish, a good espresso from a well-known Italian company, well-extracted and of high quality considering it's a single-origin blend. I'm not entirely satisfied with the value for money, but it's still considered a good restaurant.

05/08/2026: I'm so glad I didn't listen to the harsh opinions of some who compare this place to much more expensive restaurants… A starter, main course, dessert, and coffee for under €18, and everything was delicious. The waitstaff cleared the table and offered great advice—10/10, much better than in most places. Big plus for the desserts, which are all homemade by a pastry chef 😋 A place to keep in mind if you're in the area on your lunch break!

14/06/2026: Unfortunately, very disappointed... The place itself is very pleasant, and the welcome was friendly. However, it was excessively expensive for what we ate...tiny frogs' legs, a €45 set menu with a meager salad, and the chicken with morels was just okay...tasteless...😕

The fries were industrial and not good, the green salad was from a bag with industrial dressing, and the croque monsieur was industrial... nothing was good. The young waiter was very good, but the waitress or owner was serving the food and vaping on the terrace at the same time.

19/08/2026: A great find! Homemade food, excellent fried fish and frogs' legs. Lovely terrace overlooking the Saône, impeccable service. We were seated next to two group tables, which was quite noisy and difficult to hear each other – the only downside.

30/03/2026: Unfortunately, I won't be going back. Even though it's a restaurant/bar with set menus for workers, I found the quality very, very average. I was very disappointed with the quality and cooking of the food. We couldn't even finish our meals. While the service was very good, that's not enough to give it more stars. I enjoy cooking homemade meals, and everyone cooks differently, but there's a difference between cooking and just throwing things together. Honestly, the quality just wasn't there. We left hungry and with a bill that was completely unjustified for what we were served.

22/02/2026: Three daily specials (red meat, white meat, fish), all homemade and deliciously prepared by the chef. Generous portions. And don't forget the desserts. Top-notch service. A bistro like they used to make. Perfect for a lunch break on the way to the Alps.

30/08/2026: Discovered by chance one Saturday evening on our way home, we were immediately charmed by the friendliness and authenticity of the owner, who seemed to know half the town. He managed to whip up a gluten-free dish for me, even though he was only serving pizzas that night. The pizzas themselves were excellent, with a thin, crispy crust topped with very generous toppings. A real treat! There's a secret to the dough, by the way, but you'll have to ask to find out ;-) !

26/08/2026: We really liked the old Minstrel, so we decided to try it after the recent change of ownership. There's no comparison; the welcome is much less warm, and the food is less tasty. It's a shame, it used to be a great place.
