18/01/2026: Second visit to the country café, a small, unusual restaurant. Rustic decor. Massive wooden tables, a working fireplace, and, weather permitting, the option to eat in the garden. The cuisine features fresh, high-quality, and mostly local products. That evening, the menu consisted of a mille-feuille of crêpes, salmon, and clementine, roasted carp loin with potato and turnip brunoise, and a deconstructed lemon and matcha tea tart.

23/12/2025: I'm delighted that a restaurant like this is in Péronnas. Home-style cooking, always a vegetarian option, and the whole team is welcoming. The value for money is unbeatable. A place I never tire of going to. Thank you for your kindness!

20/03/2026: We ended up at this restaurant because the one we had originally planned to visit was full… And what a wonderful surprise! The food is very good, the service is incredibly friendly, it's an unassuming place that's definitely worth the detour. Pleasant setting, great atmosphere.

05/03/2026: The service was more or less acceptable. There was a long wait after ordering—40 minutes! For only 15 seats inside and on the terrace. And finally, a single piece of meat arrived in the middle of a plate, without any garnish or side dish. And a bowl of fries... No small salad to garnish or accompany it. For a dish costing €21.50!!! The roadside roadside restaurants do much better and for less. So, very disappointed.

13/03/2026: Julien, the friendly chef and owner, cooks up excellent home-style cooking using quality ingredients. Excellent value for money. At €17.50 for a starter, main course, and dessert, what more could you ask for? And the portions are generous, always subtly seasoned with a touch of Espelette pepper from the Basque Country, where the owner is from. We've been going there regularly since moving to the area in February 2026. A great place with fast service, in a relaxed atmosphere where you'll meet the locals. Go without hesitation.

22/02/2026: We booked a table for 16 and found a charming place, decorated in country colors, where we felt right at home. The waiter was friendly and attentive. The dishes were beautifully presented and, above all, the food was delicious. From the children's menu to the frog leg menu, and even the chef's special: a delight! 😋 We highly recommend stepping into this restaurant for a pleasant experience. 👌✨

27/02/2026: I came with my cousin and ordered the set menu with a choice of starter, main course, and dessert. Simply magnificent and delicious. I highly recommend it! Excellent value for money.

26/02/2026: A wonderful discovery for my birthday. A cozy atmosphere, tasteful decor, very pleasant staff, and helpful advice. There were four of us, and we chose the surprise menu with three courses. It was delicious, flavorful, beautifully presented, and served on lovely tableware 🍽️ For this menu, they ask about any allergies or foods you don't eat. Our 6-month-old baby was with us, and a high chair was provided. The space is peaceful. I highly recommend it! We will probably return.

07/02/2026: I have come here earlier for years. Food and service has been excellent without any exceptions. Atmosphere is cosy, the background music was not for my taste but thats a minor thing. I shall keep coming here in every special occasion.

04/02/2026: Great restaurant with unique flavors. Staff are very friendly and there is parking nearby. Some of their Spanish products are available to buy. The chefs pepper are great and not too spicy.

08/02/2026: My dad and I stopped by on a whim and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is welcoming, the owner is very friendly, and the food is excellent. A special mention goes to the lemon meringue pie, which was incredibly light and creamy.

01/03/2026: Very disappointed by the service at La Pataterie this evening. There were three of us motorcyclists, and we arrived at 9:45 PM thinking we could still have dinner. We were categorically refused entry, claiming the establishment was closing, even though the posted hours indicated a later closing time. No offer of service, no effort made, and a rather cold welcome. When you post opening hours, it would be normal to respect them or at least welcome customers properly. It's a shame, because after a long day on the road, it's exactly the kind of experience that makes you not want to return.

22/02/2026: I came with my family on Friday, February 20, 2026, at noon, and found a very welcoming restaurant. Parking is easy, and the menu offers a wide variety of choices. The service is quick, and the servers are friendly and helpful. I thought this establishment was closed… but it's not. It retains the spirit of La Pataterie. It's a shame it's the only one in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous. Reservations are highly recommended for evenings and weekends! I'll definitely be back…

25/03/2026: It's always a pleasure to come to Cofy. The dishes and desserts are homemade (a lovely touch is the mint leaf that proudly adorns the dessert), the service is quick and always with a smile. Special mention goes to John, the incredibly handsome and remarkably efficient waiter.

05/02/2026: We had a wonderful time in this charming, tastefully decorated brasserie. On the walls, you'll see beautiful photos of Belley from the last century. A master chef presents sublime recipes, excellent cuisine made with quality local produce. If you're a fan of steak tartare, it's prepared with a knife, perfectly seasoned, and according to traditional methods. We all loved our dishes. Trying regional specialties is a delight. And let's not forget the desserts, a true feast for the eyes and the palate. Ending on such a high note is excellent 😊 A must-try restaurant in Belley. Don't hesitate, go and try it 😉
