05/03/2026: I have mixed feelings; I was disappointed because the portions were really small! The starter was supposedly a plate of smoked salmon, but it was just about ten small squares of raw salmon swimming in dill, and not even a small salad to go with it! The smoked trout was very good, but for eight people, just a small plate of roasted potatoes was very meager. I went home hungry! The set menus are very expensive for what you actually get on your plate. The service was too slow, even though the manager was friendly: Hire a waiter!! The atmosphere was pleasant, although despite the heater near the table, I was very cold!

09/02/2026: A place I adore and have been coming to for almost 20 years. Because the smoked trout cooked in the fireplace right in front of you is absolutely divine, because the cozy dining room is dimly lit and steeped in history, because the terrace in summer offers a view you won't find anywhere else in Saint Paul. And because the owner, a tall Dane with long blond hair (just as you imagine them!), is the keeper of the many memories of this place, which has a long history. And where I hope to return for many years to come.

21/09/2025: Great address, great welcome even when arriving at 1 p.m.... terrace with a beautiful view and local cuisine, we had a great time. We'll definitely do it again. Fair prices. 👍🏼😋 for parking it's poorly indicated that you can find a space in the village, you have to dare!

09/11/2025: Excellent cuisine. Original and refined. The owner/chef/waiter/actor is truly kind and attentive. Regarding the negative reviews mentioning his personality, they're exaggerated in my opinion. This place is unique, and it's a wonderful experience.

28/09/2025: Don't go there for conformity, it's an atypical place. It's not really a restaurant but rather you're in the owner's house. It's nice, you just have to go with the flow. If you're a fan of chain restaurants, don't go here. In fact, this is a restaurant that will leave you with memories. The owner tells a little about his life and that of a place he loves and a region he adores.

15/02/2026: We had a wonderful meal, the food was homemade and the service was very friendly.

29/12/2025: We arrived around 12:30 and were able to get in at the perfect time, but it was full by 1pm. There are no English menus! The food menu seems to change daily, so I wasn't sure what to order, so I just ordered at random. Everything was delicious, so I was happy. The meat plates were quite large, so the four of us shared three plates and were just enough to fill our stomachs.

29/01/2026: Great place for a break, the food is good; I had the venison steak, perfectly cooked with a delicious sauce. The setting is beautiful with a lovely terrace and plenty of outdoor tables. The prices are relatively reasonable, some more so than others, but it's a lovely experience.

18/10/2025: The establishment listed at 11 ter rue du congrès is absolutely not super bowl. There is a Nice canteen there. I find it hard to understand why a company like Google is unable to provide good information. Maps are becoming ridiculous and have been unusable for years.

Salads are predictable (the surprise comes later) with prices that vary depending on whether you eat in (10 euros) or take away (7 euros), but without prices displayed or information from the server. You'll get a nasty surprise when you get to the till and receive a death stare from the cashier if you make a comment.

12/01/2026: After a mountain pass ride in the cold, what a pleasure to find L'Atelier Gourmand! Being the only place that accepted credit cards was a real plus. The waitresses were very kind, allowing us to store our bikes safely and close enough for us to keep an eye on them. The food was good, served quickly, and homemade—what more could you ask for? Thank you again for the warm welcome.

19/02/2026: Classic and gourmet cuisine...there's a queue outside...the staff are incredibly attentive to customers...they even added extra tables or seated several customers at an improvised round table. Excellent service!
