01/03/2026: The food is in keeping with the theme, a well-prepared French brasserie. The eggs mayonnaise were excellent, the fries were great, and the hanger steak was very tender. The service was very good, the waiter was very pleasant. The location is also nice. Very satisfied with this place. I recommend it.

03/06/2026: Hotel with a lovely location next to a lake. The reception staff are extremely pleasant and very professional. We came for a weekend getaway as a couple, but the room (Room 6) is completely impractical for two people. The two beds are pushed together and separate during the night, the bedding is unfortunately too hard, and there are stains on the sheets. The room is not at all spacious, and most importantly, there is no air conditioning... only a fan is available to cool the room. On the plus side, you can reserve 50-minute slots to enjoy the outdoor sauna and jacuzzi. The buffet breakfast is very well stocked with both sweet and savory options. It's fine for a weekend, but not for longer stays. If the few negative points I've listed were addressed, this place would be fantastic. Thank you anyway for the stay.

28/07/2026: We arrived at 12:15 PM and left at 2:00 PM for what was essentially just pre-prepared food; the wait was far too long. But the worst part was being told, "You're on vacation, you have time"... No, we're not on vacation, and that's not a comment you make to customers. The meal itself: bland potatoes, roughly chopped onions in the salad, overcooked andouillette sausage, and mediocre fries. Only the crème brûlée saved the meal! The service and the food need urgent improvement.

19/07/2026: Arrived at 2:30 PM, served at 3:00 PM... The dish with Vire andouille sausage and Normandy Camembert was excellent. The more traditional dishes were delicious. The service and welcome from the staff were impeccable! Thank you very much.

15/07/2026: This place was not at all what we expected. Even if we did not expect a high standard or high quality restaurant, knowing that we were in a touristic area, the food and ambience was sub-par. The lunch menu at 18.90€ seems like a good offer on the face of it but the starters buffet was made of essentially mayonnaise soaked salads and poor quality cold cuts (only pork). The main dish, La Tete de Veau and the Boeuf Bourguignon were okay. The portions were not that generous except for the mussels dish that was good and generous. The deserts were also not really good and definitely not worth the extra calories and sugar spike. The place is used as a hub for buses of tourists to come eat. I respect the grind but do not expect anything from this place. On a more positive note, the service was relatively good and fast although very expeditious.

14/07/2026: Not our first choice for dinner but a spot to end up where everything else is full. The staff was friendly but a bit slow. The steak was great both in the way it was cooked and seasoned. The Normand burger - I personally cannot recommend. I don't know if it was the camembert or the sausage, but the taste is very overwhelming and you can get tired of it in the middle of the burger. The selection of food is not every wide and rather international than French. Not completely bad but would try something else next time.

13/07/2026: Fish and chips are great! Homemade fries are great! Breaded chicken with cornflakes is great!

26/05/2026: The rooms were filthy and dirty. They hadn't been cleaned. Only the linens had been changed, thankfully. There was a smell of wet dog in the room. The mirrors and windows were dirty, there were unidentifiable stains on the carpet, hair in the shower, and unidentifiable water stains on the walls and floor of the toilet. The toilet cistern cover and toilet brush holder were broken, and all surfaces were sticky and uncleaned. The street was quite noisy, but it was either that or suffocate from the awful smell. I almost forgot the thought that came to me when I saw that the fitted sheet was inside out… was that intentional or a mistake? (No answer expected) The atmosphere was reminiscent of The Shining. We were offered breakfast, coffee/tea, or juice as an apology, but it was absolutely unappealing given the state of the room and everything else. Even though the price wasn't exorbitant per person, it's a far cry from the concept of a hotel where you want to feel at home, or even better, but certainly not worse. Awful. The staff feigned surprise at our experience during check-out, but at this point, they need acting lessons to make us believe it even a little. We didn't see any other guests in the hotel, so a more decent room would have been welcome.

19/05/2026: As a photographer, I now hold my meetings with future brides and grooms there because the welcome is so warm and the setting so cozy. Well done!

09/04/2026: Hello, I had lunch and rented the small room at this establishment. I received a superb welcome, the meal was very good and reasonably priced, and the amenities in the room met my expectations. Ample parking and a terrace. Everything was perfect!

12/03/2026: A restaurant located within an industrial site, mostly frequented by local workers for lunch. Prices are reasonable for those with a discount, but not overpriced for the quality comparable to a cafeteria. Overall, it's convenient, as it's self-service, for a quick lunch break.

07/06/2026: Very pleasant staff, very good breakfast and magnificent lounge with sea view.

16/05/2026: The hotel is very well located, and the staff are friendly and smiling. The room and bathroom were spotless. I highly recommend it.

27/06/2026: A lovely crêperie and pizzeria near the banks of the Orne River. We came with our grandchildren before going to the cinema. We ate buckwheat galettes and pizzas, all of which were really delicious and generously portioned. The service provided by the manager was very friendly, and the terrace, shaded by parasols, guaranteed us a pleasant lunch. We left very happy! 😌

31/07/2026: The four of us had a light lunch at this bistro. We enjoyed it very much: the food was delicious, the service was very friendly (provided by the owner himself), and the atmosphere was very pleasant and, above all, very clean. Highly recommended!

09/07/2026: A very bad experience at this restaurant with an unpleasant manager. His nonchalant and disdainful tone ruined the quality of the food, which was otherwise good. We will not be returning!

30/06/2026: The restaurant manager is absolutely lovely and very welcoming. It was our first time there, and he greeted us as if we were regulars, so it definitely won't be the last time we recommend it. The portions are very generous, and we had a wonderful meal! I highly recommend eating at Fleur du Désert!

29/06/2026: I ordered the royal couscous. It was bland, the chicken was undercooked and pink inside, and the price was too high for what it was. The broth was tasteless.
