No more Caen and parking problems, let's go to the coast at Merville Franceville for a local Brunch, a taste of color, and a welcome beyond expectations.
It's gray, but we found some sun.
26€ per person is really the right price for what you discover. We will even dare to say... excellent find.
Go for it!
28/08/2024: Très bon, bon accueil, bon rapport qualité prix ! Les moules étaient excellentes! Service rapide ans réservation alors que le resto était plein! Personnel très agréable ! On y retourne demain ! Ouvert que le midi c'est dommage !

25/09/2024: First of all, the contact was very good with the restaurant manager. The food was excellent which made for a superb evening.
I highly recommend.
02/09/2024: Usually very good.
But last weekend, 2 couscous to take away and the vegetables had a very sour taste like they had turned.
All the dishes were cold whereas usually everything is lukewarm or hot.

The warm and friendly atmosphere of the place immediately appealed to me. The menu offers a nice variety of dishes, all prepared with care and fresh ingredients. The service was impeccable, with welcoming and attentive staff. It is an ideal place for a meal with friends or a relaxing break. I highly recommend and will definitely return on my next visit 😁

05/08/2024: We had an extraordinary experience outside of time. The room was beautiful, very clean and very comfortable.
We ate at the restaurant three times and all three times were magical, a real culinary discovery of magnificent finesse. Quality products, always served with a smile.
We don't feel like we're in a hotel but rather in a large, friendly and warm country house.
Thank you very much to the whole team for introducing us to castle life in this wonderful place.

22/09/2024: Very good time spent with family and friends. Even if it seems basic, the products were simple (mussels and fries, goat's cheese salad, roasted camembert, etc.), but very good. We will come back because the team is very pleasant.

It was excellent.
The servers are very pleasant and helpful.
We come here regularly and will come back as soon as possible.
Don't change anything, it's great.

Lots of choice even for me who is vegetarian.
A super nice owner with whom we chatted at the end of the meal.
We were on vacation but if we ever pass by there again one day we will come back without hesitation.

10/12/2024: A disappointing experience despite an elegant setting
I stayed two nights at this establishment, but unfortunately my experience was marred by several details that reflect a lack of professionalism.
At the time of payment, I discovered that an "optional ecological tax" had been billed to me by default, without prior explanation. If I had not been careful, I would have paid this amount without knowing that it was optional. This type of practice lacks transparency and leaves an unpleasant impression.
Furthermore, when I had brought my luggage down myself, the manager made a particularly inappropriate remark: “Do you want a tip?!?” A comment that is not only unnecessary, but also disrespectful, which contrasts sharply with the elegance of the place.
In summary, although the setting is pleasant, the management sorely lacks tact and consideration for customers. A disappointment.
