19/11/2025: We had a wonderful time at this charming little restaurant. Its decor, the maître d'hôtel, and his sense of humor were all quite unique. The meal was delicious and the staff very pleasant. We'll definitely be back.
16/11/2025: The waiter was unprofessional and unpleasant, the service needs improvement, he practically threw spoons at us for dessert, and got angry with a guest when she asked about the sauce. The service was slow between courses. We were a group with a set menu offering multiple choices, however, there wasn't enough guinea fowl for everyone.
Regarding the portion sizes, some received small portions and cold meals. The value for money was disappointing.
On the other hand, the decor is nice.

02/10/2024: Great place to share a large, casual meal accompanied by quality catering at a completely affordable price. The setting is great: along the river. The staff is friendly. There is an outdoor terrace to enjoy the good weather.
Ideal destination for dinner if you park at the campsite opposite. You can go there on foot: walking is good.

18/11/2024: Muy casual. Primer lugar para comer algo al llegar a la ciudad. Tenía dos ollas de mejillones - gran tamaño de porción, gran relación calidad-precio. Nunca antes había comido mejillones al curry, lo mejor que he comido. Buenas opciones de cerveza.

12/12/2025: Definitely not a place to revisit. Food was poor, room was not warm and the service distinctly anti-English. Hugely overpriced too. 2 stars for food because the cheese starter was tasty (although not hot enough) €86 paid for 2 courses for 2 people plus calvados and Small wine 🙁

26/10/2024: Classic tourist trap.
More expensive than a Parisian café, even though it's already pretty good there.
5€ for a simple Coke is still nice.
I'm not even talking about the rest and especially the dishes.
I will never go back there, that's for sure.

16/08/2024: We went to eat ice cream (family of 5) in Bayeux and were really delighted with this place. The kindness of the waiters/waitresses, pleasant terrace and the places are clean (wc). The homemade ice creams on site were enjoyed by all 5 of us.

24/08/2024: Nous nous sommes rendus vers 18h en couple pour y boire un verre en terrasse.
La terrasse était certes pleine, mais certaines tables étaient pliées.
Nous avons demandé s'il était possible de nous installer un table, ce qui a été refusé car le bar fermait pour congés 1h30 après notre arrivée !
En bref, il ne faut pas être touriste fin août car ils ont fait le chiffre de la saison et on est plus les bienvenus !
Inadmissible !!

16/11/2025: We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend in Ouistreham, and especially the Hôtel Restaurant Le Phare. The food was generous, the breakfast delicious, and the staff attentive to guests' needs and very welcoming – a real pleasure. The room was perfect, with comfortable bedding. The location is excellent, a lively area, lovely for walking, and directly accessible from a beautiful cycle path for exploring this beautiful region. Thank you to all the staff!

22/09/2024: Very good time spent with family and friends. Even if it seems basic, the products were simple (mussels and fries, goat's cheese salad, roasted camembert, etc.), but very good. We will come back because the team is very pleasant.
21/09/2024: We had lunch there this afternoon, mussels with Calvados and mussels with Camembert.
It was excellent.
The servers are very pleasant and helpful.
We come here regularly and will come back as soon as possible.
Don't change anything, it's great.
