09/12/2025: We celebrated my wife's birthday this past Saturday, December 6th. There were 16 of us. Everything was absolutely perfect, from the initial contact to the event itself. The food was unanimously appreciated, and the quality of the service, both discreet and efficient, sealed the deal for us. As an added bonus, since we wanted to organize a karaoke session, the establishment kindly provided us with a video projector and screen free of charge. Thank you for this wonderful service.

15/01/2026: Very nice, the galettes are good, the service is fast and the waitress is smiling, even if there was an oversight in one (out of 4) of the sweet crepes, we will gladly return!

12/11/2025: Thank you again for welcoming us despite the restaurant being full, especially with my wife using a walker, as the entire city center was blocked due to Mr. Macron's visit to Rochefort.

12/03/2026: We hadn't been for about a year. We were a little disappointed with our choices: tataki for my wife, presented oddly on a bed of onions; the small size of the steak on the children's menu; and a tartare that lacked consistency. Finally, being served in a ketchup container like we have at home was a bit surprising for an otherwise rather upscale establishment. The mayonnaise is also served in small ramekins. The setting is still as pleasant as ever, and the service is efficient. The coffee is a bit pricey.

10/03/2026: Great restaurant, beautiful setting, fast service, top-notch! Simple but effective menu, reasonable prices. The waiters/waitresses are great, I highly recommend it.

05/02/2026: Fresh, high-quality products. The semi-cooked foie gras is excellent, perfectly seasoned, and the scallops are cooked to perfection—a real treat. A great place to eat.

10/09/2025: Visiting our cousin in Brouage, we had lunch at the Citadel. The dishes were generous and delicious. The service was warm and friendly. We'll be back.

09/12/2025: Very disappointed. The service was sorely lacking; it was incredibly slow. Starters were served at the same time as those who only ordered a main course… a shame. Tables were reset (end of service), but not cleared… we waited ages. No coffee was offered. The waiter didn't know how to set the cutlery correctly. The food was good, but the presentation was mediocre; the salad in the starters was swimming in dressing. That's it…

10/12/2025: A small, unassuming restaurant by the port, offering a cold buffet that was light but decent, a daily special (fried chicken and fries) that was extremely meager, very small portions... and the desserts weren't homemade. Despite all that, the prices are reasonable.

10/03/2026: Very warm welcome, very pleasant staff. This was our second dinner at Le Comptoir restaurant, and we were once again disappointed with the "fries"—mostly greasy, overcooked bits in the basket! It's also a shame that the waitress sprays her table cleaning product, which is very volatile, close to the customers who breathe it in while eating. It's very unpleasant, and a non-volatile product should be used. We were also seated at a dirty table! Visited in March

07/12/2025: The pastries don't live up to D'Jolli's reputation. They're classic pastries you can find at any good pastry shop. Disappointing. Be aware that prices aren't displayed on many items.

02/11/2025: I ate Mon Blanc and it was nice, if sweet. I asked for Earl Grey but the tea didn’t taste like it. The tea room was elegant and beautiful.
