08/06/2026: A lovely hotel, well located next to the Toison d'Or shopping center and public transport. We enjoyed the room, which had good amenities, as well as the restaurant and the spa.

23/08/2026: WE GOT DIARRHEA HERE We had the boeuf bourguignon which was mediocre and the steak with fries for lunch. The boef dish was okay but some peaces of the meat were really rough and chewy. So we all couldn‘t finish the dish. But the steak was a BIG problem. Two young guys from my family ordered the steak. One medium rare and one rare. The one who ordered rare got serious diarrhea. The other one got a stomach ache. THIS IS UNECCEPTABLE! Getting sick from a steak is NOT okay!!! And we‘re 100% sure it was the steak because it was the last and only meal we had that day because we has to drive home till late night and nobody else has digestive problems. The service was also pretty bad. The guy is really creepy and we didn‘t feel comfortable. This is a shame!

21/08/2026: A very warm welcome with a smile. The filet mignon was excellent with its jus and mashed potatoes, as was the butcher's cut with fries and sauce. Thank you to the kitchen staff and the very energetic young waitress and her ever-helpful colleague for this wonderful experience. Just a small, lighthearted point: real butter is salted! 😁 Cheers from the Bretons!

31/12/2025: I thought about it for a long time because I was waiting to calm down about my experience at this Michelin-starred restaurant. In short, it absolutely does not deserve this star! It was shameful to arrive at our table and see a tablecloth stained in several places. The aperitifs were served in unappealing glasses. After the first bread, we were served frozen bread... We were served pigeon that was cooked beyond disastrous. Flowers were used to garnish a dish that was an acrid and lingering taste. And to top it all off, we asked to see the chef, who appeared before us wearing a crumpled jacket—a total lack of respect. The only positive point was the sommelier, who was pleasant and a good professional.

03/06/2026: I had the opportunity to discover Le Vendôme restaurant and I can only say good things! The welcome was warm and attentive, making me feel immediately at ease. As for the food, it was a real treat. I enjoyed a delicious, perfectly prepared gizzard salad, followed by an equally excellent red berry and basil soup for dessert. You truly feel comfortable in this establishment, thanks to both the quality of the service and the quality of the dishes. A wonderful place where you'll have a pleasant time and want to return. I highly recommend Le Vendôme to all lovers of good food and a friendly atmosphere! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

02/07/2026: Great location (5 mins to the old town and a quick walk to the vineyards) and friendly staff. Rooms could use a bit of renovation and the mobile A/C cooling the rooms is loud and not very effective. Ina. Hot summer day, bring earplugs!

Impeccable service, with great professionalism and good humor. 05/09/2026: Nice restaurant, and we had a table in a private room, which was very convivial. However, there was a slight downside in terms of value for money, as for a fine dining establishment, the dishes offered were rather simple… And there wasn't much choice for dessert… The food was still good, though… We had a very good time as a family, and the staff was friendly (except that at one point during the service, a waitress removed a dish and stained our son's sleeve, and she didn't apologize, which was a bit of a letdown…).

21/08/2026: Very average, no interest whatsoever, overpriced for the quality offered, not up to standard. Nice place, but that's not everything. A shame.

01/09/2026: Horrible customer service of the waitress. Just skip this one Lots of other ice cream stands. Just rude to talk about me when I'm still in the store. 2 scopes is 4 euro but because it was separate cups 6 euros. I don't agree with that. And when I asked about it was negated with bad attitude. And talking about me to other people in the store. Don't talk about customers when they are still right in front of you.

12/08/2026: Super friendly guy, made great Crêpes for the kids and we had a very friendly and lively “ein bisschen Deutsch“<>“un petit peu français“ talk :))

16/09/2026: Highly recommended! Apparently, the place was taken over by Guillaume last year, and he and his staff work with passion to ensure you have a lovely evening. For starters, we had the lukewarm goat cheese salad on a kind of bruschetta with delicious Provençal herbs and dressing, and a juicy hamburger on a brioche bun, with homemade chips/fries. Since you order at the window, it creates a relaxed atmosphere. Glad we went, despite the bad reviews!

20/06/2026: We loved our overnight stay at Abbaye de Maizières. Our room was up a fair few steps on a spiral staircase, and the reception/lobby bar sits in a wonderful, cool cellar-type space. We didn't eat here, simply because there are so many options in town, but the place itself is lovely and special — you really do feel the sense of history. Parking can be a bit tricky, though we found a spot on the street nearby with no trouble. The gentleman who looked after us is a real gem — into his cars, and he made our stay memorable. Thoroughly recommended. Just make sure you're happy with a bit of a climb if you end up with a room at the top, like us! 🤣

22/06/2026: Friendly welcome, excellent service, only minor drawback: the chicken and Reblochon burger was too small for the price. The local Longchamp beer was very good. And no air conditioning.

11/05/2026: Very good hotel. The room was functional and clean with a comfortable bed. Very good breakfast.

07/12/2025: Our experience, after a night spent at the Hôtel de Bourgogne in Saulieu, included a very pleasant exchange with our host. While the room was admittedly rustic, the bedding was impeccable. Impersonal hotel chains are not for us. We had a delightful encounter with the owner. It all started with a Cuiralatre counterweighted rotisserie that stood proudly in one of the dining rooms. We also learned about the creation of Courtepaille in Burgundy by Jean Loisier, the brand's founder. We learned a great deal and wish him well in passing on the torch; a lifetime of experience is priceless! One night from December 6th to 7th.
